Now there was another issue. Between the FIRM grip on caden maher's ass and the commotion, people were looking. Gawking, even. Then this guy, this groper himself, he was so close that Seb could smell his breath. Was that green apple? Through a mask and everything? What the hell?[break][break]

The arches of Seb's cheeks started to feel hot, a dark red starting to stain them. Yet, he would persist. A Clawitzer who refused to let go is what he would be. He had won races harder than whatever this guy's problem was. This would totally normal.[break][break]

Basically nose to nose, Seb had no choice but to glance upwards (only slightly; there was only an inch or two height difference) to try and find an answer.[break][break]

Seb had none. There was nothing that could have prepped him for this situation.[break][break]

"You, uh-" Floundering for a moment, Seb looked like he might balk. Instead, he kept at it. No one made Sebastian Lavinge look like an idiot! "Apologize! Then you're showing me the best place to eat in this shit town. Got it?"[break][break]

The confidence he barked with all for show.

With the shining in luka chêne's eyes, the apology... Well, Seb had never been able to stay mad at Luka. Whatever he had been feeling is melted away by her hugs and attention. They would have a lot to talk about. For now, though, he takes a deep breath and tries to use some of those grounding exercises his therapist had taught him.[break][break]

They rarely worked, but Luka he would make them.[break][break]

"I'd always have time for you." It's his own promise, spoken into the world. Spoken with so much raw affection and adoration for the woman in front of him that one of the Rookies blushes.[break][break]

He pulls one hand out of Luka's grip, but he works the other one to gently hold her hand if she would allow that.[break][break]

The free one he uses to gently ruffle her hair before smoothing it back down.[break][break]

Seb sputters, a few colorful curses mixed in there. The indigence of this guy![break][break]

"You can't just grab my ass like nothing happened!" His voice took on a higher pitch.[break][break]

Frozen, for a moment, Seb stews.[break][break]

Then he reaches out and slaps his own hand over caden maher's ass. And grabs.[break][break]

Now, this is not like. A quick grope. This isn't some limpid grab, either. The slap would ring, even though Caden's pants. This was WHOLE PALM, really cupping in that cheek kind of slapping. This was a HONK. This was the kind of shit that would be exaggerated on a stage for the audience to know what the fuck was happening. There was fingers digging to meat kind of squeeze.[break][break]

Emotions would cross Seb's face in quick succession. Shock, at his own action. Then disgust. Then a kind of angry acceptance. Like grabbing this stranger's ass was like- Some kind of rebellion.[break][break]

And Seb? NOT letting go. That grip was IRON.

Sebastian had wanted to get dinner. He was hungry, in a new region, and a local look up had shown off this nice (enough) Paldean place nearby. Quick, cheap, filling. All he wanted. It was easy to pull up a foot-traffic GPS to get him there and back.[break][break]

Then his mom had started to message him, again, and one thing led to another. Like it always did, of course, and Seb was checked out as he argued with the woman who had taught him to argue. It was vicious and toothy. Lots of insinuation he didn't actually care about her or love her and how she should kill herself. You know, the usual.[break][break]

Seb doesn't feel his wallet be slipped from his pocket.[break][break]

But he does feel something else.[break][break]

"Did you just fucking grab my ass?" It's out of his mouth before he even thinks about it, high pitched and loud in a way that draws the dawdling crowd's attention. Whirling around on caden maher, the masked offender.

Seb's lips curl into something like a grimace. He thinks about not answering Josh Devlin. Telling a lie or just the other to 'mind his business' would be easier.[break][break]

You didn't catch flies with vinegar, though, so Seb bit back the usual defensive urge.[break][break]

"No, but you can bet your ass I'll win it." Even if Water wasn't his specialty by a long shot. "My friend was missing. Last seen here in Hoenn. Came to look for her."[break][break]

He clicked his tongue.[break][break]

"What about you, Devlin? Seen you on the news a few times back home. They still act like Hoenn's racing scene is some charity case and you're crazy for staying here."

Above, a Skiploom flutters by gently in the breeze... until Alpha grasp it in his talons, his Quick Attack used to drag it down. The massive Talonflame lands next to his trainer, kicking up dust and grit as he does so, wings churning. He picks at the grass type, a nice snack, before Seb glances over at him and sighs. A pokeball tossed out to capture the poor thing.

Seb attention was, indeed, drawn towards the shoreline. Dragging his case behind him in the sand, he couldn't help but approach. A Swanna in the water nearby watched on as well; until bumped by the Togekiss with an Air Slash. The jealous fairy startled the bird off, but Seb just sighed and tossed a ball at it.[break][break]

He frowned at the sky as he squinted into the distance, raising a hand to shield his eyes from the sun.[break][break]

Was that woman... riding the wings of her pokemon...?[break][break]

While mainly a racer, Seb was also a stunts man. That kind of trick wasn't very easy to pull off. Woman must have been a professional in the movie scene to be casually doing something like that. In fact, he glanced around to see if a camera crew was around- but then frowned when none were present.

The Power Gem sure works to clip Alpha's wings. While he's powerful and fast, he's fragile. Too many hits like that and he's cooked.[break][break]

He's not out of it yet, though, so he tried to recover with a Steel Wing at the kitty cat.
