The tunnel that led into the safari zone was dark at first, till it opened up at the end, revealing bright sunlight. The walls-- or rather the sky was like the dome. Though it was opaque outside, it was clear inside, revealing sunlight. Upon closer look, Zachary could see that even the clouds were different. The safari zone gave even simulated weather-- probably by the same kind of power Pokemon used to change the weather themselves. Zachary and Dizzy entered a wide prarie area, marked with ponds, a stream, and several trees. The sound of animals, Pokemon came all over. It was hard to believe they were inside in such a wild greenhouse. [break][break] "Wow... I can't believe this is all artifically created? Pretty impressive," Zachary said to Dizzy, looking around the wide area. It almost was like the inside of the safari was actually bigger than the domes. And there were others in each one. Dizzy gave an enthused bark as the fox too looked around. [break][break] Deciding to not be the only one to enjoy himself, Zachary took out a few of his other Pokemon. It felt too nice in this area for his other pokemon not to experience it. "Alright, you guys. Time to come out and enjoy!" he said and tossed some of his balls in the air. THe ones to come out was his Kadabra-- Tarot, his Slowking-- he called Calipso, Prophet the Xatu, and none other than Happy. [break][break] Excited sounds came from most of them, excited by the atmosphere around them. "See? Nice place here isn't it?" Zachary asked his Pokemon friends. Prophet and Tarot were pretty much indifferent in their responses-- while Happy and Calypso were more enthused by the enviorment. Happy didn't hesitate to start frolicing along the grasses, but still in sight as they began to explore the safari path, especially with Dizzy being observant. [break][break] As Zachary walked along-- the rustle from the tall grass stole his attention. The rustling soon came more loudly that it caugh the attention of his other pokemon and it appeared. A small brown and yellow-furred dog. The dog approached and its eyes locked onto Zachary, and soon began to wag its tiny tail. Its mouth opened and tongue out, showing a rather great jubilance to his presence. "Awww!" Zachary's heart melted by the sight of the little dog pokemon. "It's a doggy!" he gushed at the sight of the puppy, which only made the doggy more happy. The dog hopped out of the grass closer to Zachary. All the while Dizzy watched, feeling a little on guard by the presence of another 'canine'. "Aww, your a happy doggo aren't you? How are you to--"[break][break] "BRRRUF!!" In that instant, the little Yamper pounced! Overly excited and happy, the dog jumped right on Zachary and knocked him over using PLAY ROUGH. Dust, stars and other animated flashes went off as the cloud obscured it and Zachary, as the dog energetically nuzzled and played on top of Zachary. His shouts were easily muffled by the dog's loud barking and roughhousing. "Graaah! No-no Bad doggy! Ouch! Hey! Easy! Sit-- SIT!!" he cried but to no aval. As the dust settled-- the dog just pinned Zachary and now was slobbering him with licks to express his happiness to meet the young man. [break][break] Alarmed by the semi-violent acts of the Dog, Dizzy interevined. The fox growled and his eyes glowed with psychic power. Using Psychic , the dog suddenly glowed and was levitated off Zachary. The dog kicked and ran in the air-- but didn't get anywhere as it seemed to run amok even when in a telekinetic hold. Dizzy gave a disapproving bark to the dog, who still just rustled around in the air. [break][break] A sigh escaped Zachary as he picked himself up and brushed off the dirt and dog slobber. "I love all Pokemon, but I'm clearly a cat-person..." Zachary sighed as he got up and looked at the dog. "Okay, Kujo... not that I don't love your enthusasm, but you gotta calm down." he replied sarcastically. [break][break] "Brruf-fuf!!" Yamper barked enthusiastically. [break][break] Clearly the dog didn't really understand but still expressed his enthusasm to be around Zachary. "Dizzy, could you let the dog down now?" he asked. With a reluctant growl, Dizzy's eyes stopped glowing and the fox lowered the Yamper back to the ground. The dog soon dropped there and soon sat on his haunches, looking happily up at Zachary. "Well, you may need a little self-control, but at least your loyal." Zachary said as he soon reached down. While the dog gave a soft bark-- wanting to be petted, it made Zachary nervous. However-- he soon reached down and gave the electric dog a friendly pat on the head. The dog gave a pleased bark, and his tiny tail wagged. As the dog calmed down, and the other Pokemon gathered, the dog gave happy barks, meeting them. Tarot, however, simply actd uncaring as it just acknowledged the dog-- and said no more. [break][break] Zachary knelt down and petted the dog a bit more. "Well, aren't you sweet. Hey, you wanna come with us buddy? Maybe you can show us more around the Safari?" Zachary asked, hoping he would want to come with them-- as well as be a guide. [break][break] Getting over his excitement, the Yamper barked, giving a small spark off his fur. With an enthused bark, the dog led the way-- heading for a grove of trees on the far end of the preserve. [break][break] With his group in toe, Zachary followed in the direction of the little dog. [break][break]

Zachary stood before the gates of the massive domes that were interconnected. People wandered to and from the different exhibits as if it were some kind of theme park. He heard of this place as he, Dizzy-- his Delphox, and some of his other Pokemon were around. While the domes were opaque, making it hard to see what was inside each one-- it was clear by the tubes there was an atmosphere system in place to recreate weather conditions and vegetation. An ideal environment for foreign Pokemon. Curious and cautious, Zachary approached the front desk. [break][break] "WELCOME TO THE SAFARI ZONE!" the desk clerk said excitedly. Zachary hesitated at the greeting, but it seemed he was very welcoming all the same. "This is an area made specifically for the nurturing and preservation of Pokemon. Here, we strive to make an ideal environment for them to flourish and be admired by the general public." he explained. [break][break] "Um... Hi. Er, I have some questions. Um I know some people can catch Pokemon here, but ... is it just that? What does the Safari Zone really do?" he asked. [break][break] "Oho! Well, many come here. From field trips from kids in school to professors studying certain Pokemon. The majority are actually people coming to take pictures like a photo safari. You'd be amazed of the fun contests we do try to take pictures of the rare Pokemon in the areas." the desk clerk said. [break][break] That actually sounded fun to Zachary, going on a photo safari ride and taking pictures of the Pokemon.[break][break] "And trainers are really okay to catch Pokemon here?" Zachary asked, showing his trainer ID to them-- along with the ticket he bought to attend the Safari Zone. [break][break] "Oh, yes! As long as any battles are not excessively violent and no major damage is done to the enviorment, trainers are free to catch Pokemon limited to the number of balls we provide. Your ticket is up to four-- so you can catch any four that you can. We prefer though if your attempts do not involve much violence. After all, we do get kid guests." the man replied with a wink. [break][break] Zachary looked to Dizzy, who nodded in approval. "I don't think that will be a problem..." he said as he put away his ID and ticket. [break][break] "Very well," the man said as he reached behind the desk to get a tray of four Park balls. "Here is your park balls. Happy hunting and good luck!" [break][break] With the gate beyond the desk-- Zachary took a deep breath and with Dizzy beside him, he marched forward into the entryway of the safari zone...[break][break]

The scent of the warm air and fresh foliage was lifting as Zachary and his Pokemon passed through the forest and following the stream that led down the path to the Fortree city. SPring was coming. The long months of winter were starting to fade, and now he could see it. Tree branches with buds starting to form, more rain than snow-- and more life springing back. It was refreshing. While Zachary had a fondness for winter and snow... it felt good to not worry about bad weather and bask in comfortable spring winds. [break][break] He wouldn't be the only one enjoying this-- as besides new people would be around, but also new Pokemon would come up and welcome Spring too-- either returning from a long hibernation or blossoming with the change of seasons...[break][break]

His haste was driven out of emotion and not the smartest thing-- and Zachary knew it while he now wandered the caverns of Area Zero. He felt bad he had said such careless things to his friend. Perhaps he was beating himself up too much-- but still, he felt he had hurt Elise though she didn't show it. She was not in the best place since he saw her last. [break][break] A soft whimper came from Dizzy-- the fox easily sensing Zachary's melancholy. Kirlia too, keyed in on Zachary's emotion, and could sense his sorrow. He wiped away a tear with his sleeve-- and turned to his pokemon. "I'm fine. Really! Look, let's keep going. We can't afford to not explore this place for any things of interest. Besides, Elise doesn't need someone like me bothering her. She's a princess. She probably has far better company than me that she can depend on." he expressed, only putting himself down. [break][break] Dizzy and Kirlia looked at eachother, clearly seeing his self-deprecating attitude. They didn't agree. Had they been somewhere more safe, they would of snapped him out of it. As they reached the darker parts of the interdimensional cave, the crystals shimmering-- their light begean to dim by something. The sounds were echoing in the caves. Zachary paused and Dizzy raised his torch-- lighting up their surroundings a bit more. "Huh... is something there?" Zachary asked. [break][break] There was no answer, but Dizzy clearly distrusted the silence and gave an angry snarl at it. Suddenly-- something moved. Out of the darkness-- was an odd symboled face. It looked like an eye, and soon raomed out-- being attached to the face of a man clad completely in black. It was like something out of a horror movie with the masks as he almost 'sneaked' forward, silent as the dead. [break][break]"Um... not the place to cosplay?" Zachary responded with a nervous wise-crack response, his sarcasm being a clear coping mechanism. [break][break] However-- the one mask became two, then three-- till four of them were before him, causing Zachary to back up. At first, Zachary presumed they were Rocket-- but they looked NOTHING like he was told Rocket were part of. [break][break] "Who is this? One of the expedition members?" one asked. [break][break] "It doesn't matter. They have fallen to the dark. It is our job -- to feast on this ignorant soul." another answered. [break][break] "Enter into nothing, and become nothing." another said, and they all drew out their Pokeballs. [break][break] Dizzy's flame blazed up with aggression. He quickly jumped up in front of Zachary, acting to protect him. A gulp escaped Zachary, but he took on a defensive stance. "Uh oh..." he said, realizing these people were not... normal. [break][break] "Unown-- bring him to oblivion." they said in almost perfect unison. Flashes of light came from their Pokeballs-- and soon more odd 'shapes' appeared in the dark. The Pokemon to appeared seemed to be 'eyes' as part of odd squiggly lines, like runes. [break][break] "What the hell?" Zachary said as he examined them with his Pokedex. [break][break][break][break] "Huh? That's it?! " Zachary asked, perplexed by the Pokemon and their mysterious cult-like owners. [break][break] "Take him." the leader of the cult declared. [break][break] The unown began to float around, moving in odd patterns with one another. As they danced, a dimensional energy started to gather-- as if threatening to launch an attack. [break][break] "That doesn't look good..." Zachary said as he backed up, trying to understand what they were doing. [break][break][break][break]

The path to Fortree city was indeed a long road from Mt Pyre. And Slateport city. Even with Teleporting to get around, it taxed his Pokemon something fierce to have them teleport long distances like that. So naturally, Zachar took the routes to get places. There were trains that could take him there-- but for now, Zachary wanted to reach Fortree city. It was a beautiful city described in the books. A place where modern technology and nature somehow mixed together. It made Zachary curious, so he choose to walk there on foot and take in the feel of nature around him. [break][break] Besides him was his trusty companion-- Dizzy. His Delphox. The adventure loving, sassy fox kept Zachary company as they walked down the road leading to Fortree city. With all the greenery , riverside and forests-- Zachary and Dizzy felt happy there. They were in no rush to get anywhere. Of course they too had company. [break][break] Josh Devlin was also with them, keeping them company as he rode on one of his Pokemon. IT seemed they were going in the same direction, so why not travel together? [break][break]

Tarot took hold of the Apple as he let out a soft hum-- followed by a shimmer of light that eclipsed both their vision. It was then that Abra started hopping around. They would teleport to the far side of the room-- then to the top of a toy cabinet. Then finally, the reappeared at the top of the table where the adult humans who took care of them were preparing snacks. The tricky Abra let go of Applin there as it picked up what looked like a yummy pokemon poffin brownie. Abra took two and gave one to the Applin, and the other he greedily ate with a smirk on his face. [break][break] The two were clearly able to do anything with the ability to hop around like that. To Abra, teleporting was a fun little way of moving like passing through a little tunnel that led to the next place, like the plastic ones around the playroom. [break][break] However as they were enjoying their early treats-- a shadow of one of the humans crossed them. Abra looked up with browny smeared mouth-- seeing the unhappy face of a female human looking down at him. "Hey! it's not snack time yet, silly abra." she said, part stern, part hiding amused displeasure. Abra took another hold of Applin-- and flashed again, teleporting them back to where they started. The chuckle of the mischevious Abra wasn't ignored as he slicked up the last bits of the brownie on his face. [break][break] However-- the human was also quick as she spotted Abra. Her arms were crossed, still with a disapproving face. To which, Abra just tried to act innocent, fainting sleep. [break][break]

Zachary was more surpised to see her there-- but his word choice was poor. He figured she acted as a polititan, and not a medic. He didn't know that detail. He frowned at her statement. "I'm sorry. I shouldn't have presumed. But I didn't think you would be here of all places. " Zachary apologized, not meaning to be discourteous. "Please excuse me." he said sincerely. [break][break] He had come to think of her as a friend. Though ignorant of what she was capable of, she wasn't exactly the best to share such information. After all, she had been through quite a lot. Her mother's death and her responsibilities as royalty too. The last thing he wanted to be was insensitive. [break][break] He was quiet for a moment, realizing he took the excursions here for granted. However, that thought went out the window as a low rumble started. At first, it felt like a small earthquake-- but soon followed by a loud, echoing bellow of some sort from some kind of beast. It made the walls shake and caused small alarm. [break][break] "What was that...?" Zachary asked, nervous. [break][break] Part in eagerness to complete his task to explore, part out of shame for his poor words to his friend, he felt the urge to leave. "I-um-- better get going. I'm so sorry Elise. " he said. Recklessly, Zachary quickly marched off, prepared to go back into Area Zero. However, he forgot the important rule. Do not go in alone. As in human companions to depend on. Something Elise probably wouldn't ignore but out of shame and alarm, he felt compelled to go. [break][break] Zachary quickly made his way to the camp entrance and took out his Pokeballs. With a crack of them-- he released two Pokemon. One was Dizzy. His best friend and Delphox Pokemon, greeted him with a positive yip of greeting. Possibly cause he saw Zachary looking shamed or sad. Zachary pushed it aside and opened the second. This one was Kirlia. Kirlia was one pokemon he was proud to have. While it ws not as strong as Dizzy-- the benefit of it was its ability to teleport. Since entering Area Zero, he always had one Teleporter on hand whenever he was out and about exploring. [break][break] Out of character, Zachary looked to both of them. "Alright, guys. Time to go. Keep sharp and lets see what's out there. " Zachary explained as the two Pokemon followed him out of the tent and into the wilds of Area Zero's caverns. [break][break][break][break]

Zachary was relieved the big issues were done, that Haunter was now captured and not causing trouble. That creature was a menace. THough he wanted to raise a strong ghost type-- he couldn't imagine how he would begin raising such a trickster and troublemaker. Even for Abra's standards. Josh explained that they were almost there but had to get the girl home. Without flying and other means it would be diffcult. [break][break] Actually, Zachary had a confident idea. "Oh, I can do you one better. You know the benefit of being a psychic type trainer?" He said as he took out one of his Pokeballs with a "I" on it. "I can teleport us to the nearest Pokemon Center, and from there, getting to the mainland or anywhere should be easy..." [break][break] However, Zachary paused as he realized something. "Wait-- I don't know if my Abra is strong enough to teleport all three of us like that. I do have others but they haven't learn Teleport just yet. If only we had one more too. Regardless we need to recall all our Pokemon just for the trip. " he explained. [break][break] With the chaos at ease, Kirlia and Karma were quiet as they talked-- however soon Kirlia perked up and chirped in. The little soothsayer Pokemon came up and started chirping, insisting something. After a moment, Zachary had the gist of what they were trying to say. "Wait-- Kirlia can teleport too. If we use Kirlia with Abra, we should be able to teleport all of us at once. " Zachary explained, figuring the two could carry them to the nearest point of civilization. He knelt down to Kirlia. "Kirlia, do you think you can teleport us back to the mainland with some help?" [break][break] Kirlia gave an enthused twirl, expressing their assurance on the matter. It seemed to live to help. Zachary smiled, glad he met such a kind and selfless Pokemon. [break][break] Taking out his other Pokemon, he opened the ball and Abra appeared in a flash of light. Abra floated off the ground a bit, looking almost asleep as it regarded them with a hum. Hopefully he was in a cooperative mood. As Zachary took Wynaut into a Pokeball too-- the little guy way too eager to come with him too-- he turned to Abra. "Okay, Tarot. We need you to work with Kirlia-- and teleport all of us to the nearest pokemon center. And Tarot-- none of your tricks okay? We all have to get there safely. Understood?" [break][break] The abra regarded Zachary's words with a small nod-- which was the closest thing they could get from the self-important Abra who had the problem with authority. He felt confident enough Abra wouldn't pull any pranks when people's lives were at stake. He did save him after all. [break][break] Zachary gathered them all together and Josh would have to recall all his Pokemon to make this work. "Okay everyone, hold on to one another. Do not let go and stay close. Tarot, Kirlia, we're counting on you." Zachary said with confidence. Kirlia turned to Tarot and gave a trusting nod to the semi-sleeping Abra. Abra took a hold of Zachary's leg gently-- while Kirlia took a hold of Josh's leg, and the others holding on to one another so they all went to the same place. [break][break] A ringing took place in Zachary's ears, slowly but surely as light shimmered around them-- then blinded them as the teleport took hold! With both Pokemon's efforts, they focused, and teleported them all away! [break][break] Before they knew it, they would emerge back to a local Pokemon center. Whether he was a cheater or not, Abra was pretty proud of himself for his little tricks of teleporting. Of course he wasn't trying to be mean. Still, he did see the surprise on the Applin's face. Abra soon teleported again, returning besides him. Decided to have some fun, Abra reached out a hand to offer it to the little plant dragon. Abra thought since he could take a full size human with him-- why not the apple . [break][break] Tarot held out a claw to the pokemon, offering them to take a hold of it. When they would-- he could teleport them anywhere, and show her what it was like. "Urrrrrmmmm..." Tarot hummed, offering her a ride. [break][break] Of course, it may very well envoke the 'wrath' of the daycare staff as they were tending to other Pokemon, but the fun of zipping around without limit would be fun too. [break][break]

The outpost inside the Area Zero-- was an odd place indeed. Several interconnected tents made a whole network like a base. Zachary truly felt like he was in outer space or somewhere he only read about in books. If his parents knew he was out here on some exploritory mission-- they'd probably grown him till he was 20. Regardless, he didnt' want to let this adventure slip by him. So he joined, and was pleased to find other exploratory-spirited people, and those of the League. So he was there, from his small quarters to the commons, prepared to go for another dive into the mysteryous place. Luckily, he came prepared and to the care of many-- had Pokemon capable of Teleporting. His Abra(Kadabra) and Kirlia were capable of teleporting them back to the main camp, and possibly back to the caverns back in their world if an emergency broke out. [break][break] As he made his way for the exit to enter the next part-- he soon saw someone he didn't expect. A woman with red hair and violet clothing. He didn't know for sure but he was sure to check. "Elise? Is that you?" Zachary asked, grasping the woman's direction. [break][break] Zachary was there dressed in his usual colors of white and blue-- but his outfit was that of standard issue explorers here, save for the jacket tail and sleeves. Dizzy wasn't with him, as it was smarter to keep his Pokemon to his side for the moment. Still, Elise would recognize the young trainer without issue. "What are you doing here of all places? I figured you were taking care of your government affairs not here in Area Zero." he said. [break][break] Meanwhile, Zachary was prepared to start exploring this new territory. Between the origins of Tetra power and the interdimensional nature of this place, he was promised to see things no other person has ever before. His excitement would be clear to Elise-- if a bit immature. [break][break][break][break]
