They carried the mantyke to the water. His companion got his sneakers full of water and Azure didn't dare to commit that much. In fact, as soon as the pokemon was above water, Azure signaled to let go, putting it down gently. His arms were fried! "So much for being a ranger, now I can't use my arms for the next couple days," he chuckled, waving at the pokemon. "Go on you, go home!"[break][break]
Except the pokemon didn't go anywhere. It didn't look distressed anymore and was looking between Azure and his friend. Loki ran over and chirped at it, the mantyke responding excitedly. "...What are they talking about?"

"Trial and error, right?" Azure chuckled as well - he could at least somewhat relate to that. The grind was real being online as well. He glanced over at the smaller pokemon greeting Loki, glad it seemed to be going smoothly. Loki often forgot how big he is in comparison to others, but considering the other pokemon at home were also small... He was being gentle despite being excited to meet new friends. Azure nodded again in approval, that was good enough.[break][break]
"Ahhh, so you don't live an train around here then?" Azure laughed lightly, somewhat relieved that a young girl wasn't just out here in the woods, like, constantly. At the mention of manners, Azure grimaced a little - where were his manners? "It's nice to meet you Thea! I'm Azure and I've actually been recording this whole thing, but I promise I'll delete it," he laughed again, finally reaching out to turn off his camera. He had completely forgotten that he was filming! He put his hands together - the more he learned about this girl the more interesting it got. "This isn't considered more dangerous? What kind of special trainings do you do? I hope you don't mind me asking I've just... Been at home too long!"

Ember hit! Azure nodded and held a thumbs up at Loki, who seemed to now be getting into the groove of things - hopefully. They just needed to not take more damage now... He watched his opponent and wondered if that strict "do better" would actually motivate obstagoon to do better. He hoped it didn't.[break][break]
Azure pursed his lips as Loki took a Cross Chop. "Go for a Pyro Ball again, Loki!" He hoped it would hit better the second time around.

Loot Guard..... "Oh Lutgarde! I know them, I've met their pokemon too!" Azure grinned proudly. What a small world! He couldn't remember if Lutgarde ever met Mercy though, perhaps he'll have to introduce them sometime soon.[break][break]
Getting back to the matter at hand, the Mantyke situation... He nodded as the other went around to the other side of the rock pool. The two of them should be able to lift it and carry it to water, probably. Azure looked down at his arms - he would be surprised if he had any muscle in there. "Lift on 3?"

Azure frowned, the Pyro ball clearly wasn't as effective as he'd intended. Loki made a disgruntled noise, but didn't seem to be losing hope just yet. Obstagoon was way too close though... Clicking his tongue, Azure took a step back, just in case.[break][break]
"Push him away Loki, use Ember!" He instructed, hoping this one hit harder, or at least got obstagoon out of their faces.

Oh this guy knew other rangers? Azure grinned, puffing his chest out a little, "Who's this ranger friend? Maybe I know them and could go show off!" Not like in a mean way or anything, just- Azure tilted his head when his new friend seemed to be looking at something behind him now. He turned on his heel, slowly following the guy to the rock pool where he spotted a florges, then picked up his pace once he was actually called over.[break][break]
"What's going on?" Azure joined the other at the rock pool - it was getting a little crowded there. The mantyke stuck in the pool looked a little stressed about being unable to get out. Azure scratched his temple. "Do you reckon it would be safe to just.. carry it out...?"

"Of course of course! I'm just a single mom who works two jobs," Azure wipes fake sweat off his forehead as he takes the tongs from Lut. Loki was running about, not really taking work seriously - either of the jobs for today, really. At least Sylv looked cute and well behaved.[break][break]
Azure checked the camera once again - it seemed to cover quite a bit of the area, so he was happy with that. He set up his rotom phone to follow them around too. "Right, shall we get to it then?" He clapped his hands, trying to motivate them both.

Absolutely floored by the scene in front of him, Azure was so glad he managed to start the camera on his rotom phone in time to capture the skuntank emerging from his pokeball and using flamethrower. Insane. Next to him, Loki looked equally surprised - the pokemon recovered much quicker though, bouncing over to say hi to the other pokemon.[break][break]
"What a big boy..." Azure commented, finally regaining composure and also approaching the skuntank. He inspected the saddle on the skuntank's back, turning back to Shalin. "You can ride him? That's so cool!!!"

Azure hissed as a log nearly hit the girl in the face, but she dodged it like she's been doing this her whole life. He clapped quietly, mouth forming a small o - that's a professional for you. "Wow, I'd be on the ground if I was standing there." He did spend most of his life chronically online, so no one really expected him to dodge logs. Hm..[break][break]
"You're not causing trouble at all! I'd be more worried about you getting injured and then no one being able to find you for ages - this is pretty remote..." Azure chuckled, nodding at Loki, allowing him to go interact with the other Pokemon - if they were up for it anyway. He then turned his attention to the girl in front of him, intrigued. "Do you do this a lot?"
