The howling wind dance around their bodies feels like sharp blades against their skin, but the duo continues to push through it. A loud and usual sound wave can be heard over the powerful wind, and it soon causes Butterscotch to switch his direction. "Hurry Butter, this doesn't sound too good!" Airi encourages her fire fox. The Ninetales nods his head as he continues to rush towards the direction of the injured Pokémon crying out for help. The closer Airi and her Pokémon get to the source of the sound the thicker the white mist around them becomes, attempting to confuse them. "Close your eyes and keep focus on the noise," Airi instructs her Pokémon right before closing her eyes and following her own words of wisdom.

Within a couple of minutes, Airi and her Ninetales emerges through the thick mist in time to witness a pack of Beartic enclosing a lone Cetitan. The terra whale makes an attempt to dash by the polar bears, but the one of them manages to knock it back with a powerful Slash knocking him back in the center and leaving it with a deep gasp across his body. The Beartic licks their snout, then moves even closer towards their prey as the sight of the crimson blood staining the pristine ground.

Butterscotch lets out a vigorous howl, which summons the warm sun from above. The brilliant sun stops the snow from fluttering from above and clears out the thick mist around them. Immediately, the Beartic switch their attention away from their prey on to Airi and Butterscotch. The pack of snow-coated bears let out a terrifying roar as they rush towards them at full speed. Still, Airi nor her Pokémon flinched at their actions. "Flamerthrower," Airi commands her Pokémon in a calm tone. Butterscotch's deep red eyes glows even more fiery as he opens his mouth to release a dominating stream of red-orange flames in the direction of the pack, burning them all to a crisp. The Beartic cry out in pain as the scorching hot flames burns their body and ruins their beautiful, white coats. After feeling Butterscotch's fury, the pack flees from the scene.

Airi slides down from Butterscotch's back, then rushes towards the Cetitan to observe his wound. "It is too deep for me to treat here. I need to take you to the Poke Center right away," she tells the Cetitan. The robust whale must have noticed the concern in the Ranger Nurse's eyes, because he did not protest against her words. Airi lightly taps an empty Poke Ball against the Cetitan's body before hopping on her Ninetales back.

"Goodness. You are quite the daredevil. Honestly, I call say that I have never tried to catch a Pokémon that way and I do not know if I ever would try it that way," she giggles. She admires her courage and all, but Shalin's catching tactics do not aligned with hers at all. She takes a quick scan over Shalin's body. "Are you sure that you are okay, Captain? I can check you for injuries," she adds, showing some concern towards the other woman.

For a few seconds, a Wiglett nearby the water grabs Airi's attention. It is an interesting creature to say the least. The Wiglett soon withdraws its head underground as a Wild Rufflet soars over it.

It was a close call, but Airi and Aaron were able to escape the unexpected earthquake in Petalburg City. The Ranger Nurse and the young trainer were able to find a somewhat safe spot to rest and develop their next game plan. She is grateful that Aaron agreed to let her tend to his Gengar due to its current condition from their previous battle against Kazuya Yoshida . For a few seconds, she finds herself wondering what may have become of the masked grunt before she shifts her attention back towards the Gengar. She was able to relief a decent amount of its health, but she needs a little extra assistance from her Latte, her Shiny Gardevoir. Airi summons her elegant and graceful Psychic/Fairy-type from her orb then requests her to use her Heal Pulse to restore Gengar back to its full health. The Shiny Gardevoir extends her arms out towards the Ghost/Poison-type, releasing pink pulse of energy from her hands to heal her target. After Latte is finish with treating the Gengar, Airi returns her inside of her orb just in case she will need to use her healing powers in the future.

Airi nods her head at Aaron's plan. It sounds feasible to her and the two of them do not have too much more time to sit around and develop a more detailed plan at the moment. "My Swampert should be able to help use brave the sandstorm," she tells him. The sandstorm will not harm Bean and it will allow him to create a shield to cover them by using Protect. Airi's deep blue eyes slowly shifts towards Aaron and his arm. She reaches inside of her first-aid kit to grab a bottle of pain killers and a bottle of fresh water to give to him. "Here, take these. You are going to need them," she tells him, pouring a couple of pain killers in the palm of his hand. She waits for him to toss them back inside of his mouth before opening the fresh water for him, then passing it over to him.

Airi packs up her first aid kit, then slides it back inside of her backpack before tossing it over her shoulders. She retrieves Bean's Poke Ball and releases him. "Bean, we need your protection and guidance," she expresses to her Swampert. Bean nods his head then sets up a Protect as he takes charge and leads them along the path. As long as Airi and Aaron remain behind him, then no harm should come to them from the sandstorm. [break][break]

Airi's piercing azure orbs takes notice of a small Snom taking a nap on boulder covered with ice. "Let's not try to disturb it," she whispered to her Ninetales. Butterscotch nods his head and walks around the boulder, being careful not to allow any of his majestic tails make contact with it.

The sound of Butterscotch's warm paws crunching against the snow-kissed field echoed through Airi's sensitive ears as the ranger nurse and her Ninetales explored the mysterious area known as The Silent Icelands. During her visit in Ordale Town, the mocha-haired maiden made a promise to herself that she will explore the area for a few minutes before making her way back towards Rustoboro City. The howling wind around her caused her long hair to whip around her beautiful face and it also caused a cool shiver to rush done her spine. She snuggled her thick ranger jacket against her body, being careful not to fall off the staddle positioned over her fire fox. She is determined to brave the frigid water in hopes of encountering some powerful Ice or Steel-type Pokémon.

Airi blinks her sapphire blue eyes a few times as she replays Porter's words in her mind. She did not expect the other ranger to take her words in a figuratively manner. She tries her best not to allow a giggle to escape from her lips but struggled to keep her laughter inside. "Oh, Porter," she giggles, shaking her head at him. She did not have anything else to say to his response.

After taking the small water-type's vital signs, Airi signals for her Slowbro, Ginseng, to come over to assist her. "Its wing is a little damaged. Heal Pulse, please," she instructs her Slowbro. A lazy yawn escapes from Ginseng's mouth as he raises his hands then points them towards the Mantyke. A soothing pink energy comes out of his hands and flows inside of the Mantyke, healing its injuries and restoring its health. The Mantyke lets out a soft coo, gently moving its once injured wing around a bit. "Feels much better, doesn't it? It may still feel a little sore. So, you are going to have to take it easy for a few days," she tells the baby manatee. Her Leavanny then walks over to the Mantyke and uses a string shot on its wing to help protect it. The silk should be strong enough to withstand the water. Airi then walks the Mantyke over towards the ocean to release it. The Mantyke gives her a quick wave with one of its wings before swimming off.

"I will say that we are off to a pretty good start. What do you say, Porter?" She asks walking towards him and his Pokémon. It seems that some of the heavy lifting may be getting the best of her partner.
