Rikiya would soon find himself leaning up against a tree, once again taking a hit off his vape pen. As he took a moment to relax, he would spot a Weepinbell around the area, seemingly searching for prey. The goofy looking creature had always elicited a chuckle from the blue-haired Kanto native. Then again, the mouth of the entire line was one big joke to him, and those within his twisted little social circle. The creature failed to notice him, continuing its own search for food.

At a nearby table, Rikiya would watch the girl smack her laptop around, desperately trying to get the thing to work. Perhaps it was uncouth of him, but he found the display of a teenage girl acting like some tech illiterate oldster to be hilarious. He watched as she tried to switch the thing on and off, outright resorting to hitting the thing. Sure, he could've stepped in much earlier, but where would be the fun in that.

Perhaps feeling bad for the girl, or not wanting the situation to escalate further, Rikiya walked up to the teenager. "Yo, couldn't help but notice you've got computer problems. Mind if I take a look?", he'd ask her with a whisper. "At the very least, before you break the thing by smacking it around like a red-headed stepchild, I could actually see what the fuck is wrong with it.", he'd continue, still whispering.

Upon hearing the man call out to him, Rikiya would just stare at him. "Bruh, are you fucking retarded or some shit? This is a nicotine vape pen, nothing illicit about it!", he'd tell Mateo. When the man would ask him about a Gible, he'd raise his eyebrow at him. "A Gible? Nah, I haven't seen one of those fuckers around.", he'd tell the man bluntly. Truth be told, if he spotted anything on the Gible line, he'd be wary, considering most of his team couldn't handle such a Pokemon.

A Pachirisu would pop out of the shrubs, lured in by the blueberry-scented smoke. Rikiya would notice the creature climbing up his leg to greet him. Shockingly enough, the Devon programmer would remain calm, being used to this sort of thing at this point. Instead, Rikiya responded by nonchalantly blowing some smoke in its face, which it seemed to enjoy. Watt hopped down from his shoulder, grabbing a ball from his master's bag, and offering to play with the Pachirisu.

From there, the two of them would play a game where they'd pass each other the ball. As they played, Watt would begin to ask the Pachirisu some questions. After letting the two chat it up amongst each other, Rikiya pulled out two treats from his bag, handing one to Watt, and offering the second to the Pachirisu. The Pikachu eagerly took his, while the Pachirisu sniffed at his for a moment, before finally digging in.

With their snack out of the way, the two continued, before the Pikachu finally asked the Pachirisu if he'd like to join their team. Whether it'd join or not was now up to him.

Outside of the Mauville Hills Power Plant, Rikiya Oshiro would be sitting on a crate, quietly smoking with his blueberry-scented vape pen. On his shoulder sat Watt the Pikachu, who seemed to be taking in the scent of vapor. A Shinx was outstretched on his lap, content with simply resting while his trainer was relaxing. At his ankles was a Togedemaru, who was rolling around on the ground playfully.

Today, Rikiya decided to take a look at what was going on in New Mauville. Perhaps the prospect of the Electric-types that were present attracted him to the area. Perhaps it was his fascination with such areas that brough him here. In any case, Rikiya was outside, having a smoke before going in. As much as it pained him, even he was sensible enough not to vape inside of the power plant.

The Togedemaru would eventually bump into Rikiya's boot gently, causing the trainer to turn his head to the rotund rodent, and give him a gentle pat on the head. The Togedemaru would reach his hands up, attempting to grab his hand gently as he took in the affectionate touch.

As Rikiya plugged in the thumbstick into the computer, he'd notice that it didn't register. With a sigh, he'd allow his Porygon to work its magic, bypassing the security blocking off access to the folder. Within the folder, he would see five folders within that all caught his interest. Ultra Space? Experimentation? Contingency Plans? It served to get the hacker curious about just what the hell he was paying witness to.

At the end of the day, Rikiya would choose to investigate the Aether Onboarding folder first, hoping that he wasn't wasting his time in investigating what seemed to be the least interesting of the five. If he made it out of this alive, he would be looking into just who the hell the Aether Foundation really was, and just what the hell they were up to.

As Rikiya hit the enter key upon typing in "password", his face would become filled with disappointment and disgust. He was desperately hoping that whoever held this station at least knew their proper opsec. But then, considering it made his job easier, who was he to complain? The answer was someone who saw this far too often, and for someone with a seemingly important position, such a sin was unforgivable.

Rikiya would quickly eye the different files, noting that they were all boring work-related documents. Rikiya's dive into the directory would mostly yield more of the same. That was, until he stumbled upon one that stuck out like a sore thumb. But when he would attempt to access the Aether Foundation drive, he found that the account had insufficient privileges to do so.

"At least they didn't let this joker have free access to this shit.", muttered Rikiya.

Rikiya would pull out his secret weapon, his old Porygon. The "floating duck" would spasm, the various shapes that made him up would shift in size as it was manifested into the world. "Yo, Bit, see if you can access the Aether Foundation drive!", Rikiya called out to his Porygon. The glitchy Pokemon would attempt to enter cyberspace from the computer, as its master had ordered. From there, it would attempt to locate the Aether Foundation drive, and gain access to it.

Rikiya, while waiting, produced a blank thumb drive from his coat pocket. He would wait on his companion's results, before attempting to plug it in, and copy what he could onto there. In the meantime, he would watch the door, looking out for anyone who stumbled upon his attempt at gaining this information, and thinking about giving the account a new password while he was there.

Rikiya would look for opened or unlocked doors, until he stumbled upon the private office of a seemingly important member of the Space Center's staff. The office itself was rather plain in nature, and he didn't recognize the name on the door off the top of his head. However, the presence of the computer caught his attention. Rikiya would pull up his hood, and sneak into the office, attempting to hide his face from any cameras that would be in the room.

The hacker would notice that the terminal was locked. The first thing he would do was start to go down the list of common passwords that people tended to use on their accounts. It was a practice that he always mocked, considering this is how most hacking attempts would succeed. While he was desperately hoping that whoever held this office took his opsec seriously, and didn't have some pathetically easy password, going down this list was practically business as usual for the Kanto-native.

The list would go on, and if these passwords failed to produce results, it would give Rikiya some faith in the individual who held the terminal. Even then, he had a better way of brute forcing through the account, but that would come if going down the list failed to give him any results.

If he knew the person who held the office, especially their personal interests, then he'd be able to make some guesses on their password based on such interests. But for now, this was all he had. And considering that they were important enough to have their own office, he was hoping this first attempt at brute forcing his way into their account would fail.
