marcel had chosen the healer class for less than selfless reasons. though he didn't mind helping others along the journey--this was a game, after all--he found greater power in being the hidden strength allies rather than flashy, brute force.

"well enough," he answers, "there haven't been too many spawns around here." though he had his defensive spells at the ready, marcel didn't stand much of a chance if it came down to fighting anything more than a low-level spawn. [attr="class","mthread"][attr="class","healer"]a shelgon on its last bit of hp staggers towards him with a ZEN HEADBUTT, running straight into marcel's SPIKY SHIELD. though the damage is minimal, it is enough to make the pokemon fall.

when the next two pokemon appear, he does not hesitate with a DAZZLING GLEAM. the gabite's SAND TOMB summons a mass of sand above him, and marcel barely defends himself in time. the sand rolls off his SPIKY SHIELD, some getting caught amongst the spikes, then falling to the ground once his shield fades.

"this is great!" emma's avatar was perfect to support his own--without any attack moves, he often relied on others who packed enough punch for them both. he supposes he shouldn't be surprised, given his heavy part in building her character, but it was different to seeing it in action.

"well," he claps his hands together, ",seems like you've gotten the hang of things." he begins to walk off the training field, expecting emma to follow. "there are some mission i've been meaning to do for a while now..." the man proceeds to talk in length about his plans for the day which held a focused efficiency not dissimilar to the strategies he created at rocket.
