[attr="class","starrytext"]scratching his bandaged abdomen. mateo's sight was elsewhere. gazing off as noelle spoke. he was listening, barely, but he was listening. "sure, yeah. we can go swimming with everyone this weekend or something. maybe at the three house event." mateo answered. though that wasn't exactly an answer to her question. to be fair he was barely paying attention, but he was present--in a way...

it wasn't until two pokemon appeared before them. noelle somewhat convinced mateo that it'd be a smart idea to capture the duo. plus, making chancelor owe him something did interest. a devilish grin hidden, he'd say, "only because i'm such a good person. i guess i can do a bit of charity every now and then, right?" looking to dragonite, he'd order, "give it a shock." before the hawlucha could run from the mighty dragonite, it was hit with a thunder wave.

the pokemon would come to be paralyzed, unable to exactly fight back. with a simple toss of the ball, he'd capture the hawlucha without much effort. "smart idea, Noelle Lane. you did good!" he would've never caught this had he nothing to gain from it. "i forgot how useful it is having you around. way more useful than kyle, that's for sure." also, he'd just realized from earlier, shouting, "hey! was that 'dragon king' comment suppose to be patronizing, i'll kill you!" mateo barked at noelle. "i take it back, you and kyle are a pain in my ass!! let's go!" and thus he kept moving forward.

as they walked, he'd talk, "why don't you go bother chance or something? i'm sure he'd rather you be in his face more than mine. shouldn't you be doing things normal girls do anyway, like shopping and stuff?" he inquired.

[attr="class","starrytext"]thinking about noelle's comment of wanting to swim with him. he imagined her attempting to seduce him. in that imagination they were in a hot tub. and in the hot tub she attempted to seduce him, how did it go?

he drowned her. he was drowning her. he yoinked her by the neck and just went to town.

his imagination was broken when she asked him, after her pelipper assault, how she looked. turning to face her, he'd say, "you look the same?" girls were weird. did she had something on her face or something? he was confused. girls were confusing.

in the midst of his walk a deino would come to halt at mateo's leg. it was a child, kneeling down, he'd pat it atop of the head. "are you lost?" he asked the dragon. he wondered where its mother was. feeling the deino and examining it, he felt something radiating from it. a strong hustle of bustling energy. "you're coming with me!" the deino was confused as to what he meant by 'coming'. taking a pokeball out, mateo spoke, "zu'u bo wah wahl hi ahrk wahl hi mulov zu'u!"

a hand was placed upon the nape deino's neck, he'd say, "su'um ahrk morah..." deino felt a calm moment. listening to mateo intently, it wasn't until he'd come to tap the pokemon atop of its head with a pokeball that its concentration was broken. the pokemon was absorbed and the ball shook. mateo waited until a ding was heard.

breathing heavily, he'd repeat, "su'um ahrk morah..." breathe and focus. standing, he'd begin to stretch. "what was i saying again?" mateo asked, turning toward noelle.

baking, secretly, was a talent mateo never enjoyed sharing with people. he was able to make the usual sugary treats one could find anywhere. though, there were times he tried to make his own stylish spin to it. such as dragon scale bread, some dragon claw cake, a bit of spicy pumpkin dragon tail pie. where did he come up with this stuff?

he was asked by the commissioner herself if he could help out with this year's bake sale day at evergrande city. naturally, he would've declined. but you can't say no to dahlia? surprisingly, noelle came to ask of him to participate and thought it'd be romantic. respectfully, but not really, he would've declined. but it was a request made by dahlia.

mateo arrived on the scene upon the back of dragonite. noticing the ranch that held a swarm of mareep broken. "seriously?!" they were everywhere. this was going to take his entire day away. some of them were currently gathered up and brought back over the fence that held them together. it looked as though the door simply broke and that's when they made their escape.

"talk about a breakout..." mateo commented. the farmer explained the situation to him and how he just needed help rounding them up. "cowboys?!" with the eyes of a child. he was infatuated with this mission. he was going to be a cowboy! something he only saw in movies. this was an exciting moment for him. he was given a rope and a hat, he'd whisper to himself, "i'm a real cowboy..." he hugged the rope and hat given to him.

putting on his hat and tipping it. he was ready to saddle up. dragonite, staring intently at mateo, warned him with just a look that he'd better not put a saddle on him. mateo, silently, was disappointed. "oh, i wonder where my helper is..." he asked looking around with curiosity. the mareep were getting away with every minute they waited. hopefully they would arrive soon.

loud thumping was heard within the large house. running was heard as mateo was in search of a hiding toddler. they came in pairs.

fraternal twins were a nightmare. one a boy, the other a girl. he was in search of the boy. "oi!" he shouted, searching for the kid. "where the hell are you, idjit?!" he wanted to call the brat a shit head. barefoot within the home, he looked upstairs in search of the hiding. he ran about the home for quite sometime, only to end up back at square one.

he'd look over the railing, shouting to Noelle Lane from below, "i can't find him?! where the hell is he!?" mateo shouted, annoyed by the troublesome boy. "if he comes down, you better nab his ass like and hold him tight like a seviper." he'd bang his hand atop of the railing. "i hate brats!" he shouted. and thus ran around, once more, upstairs. searching for the child all while destroying the house, searching high and low.

seadra had been dropped off by mateo. she wasn't sure as to why she was here. she just was. mateo didn't explain, she didn't understand. seadra stood at the front entrance confused as a plethora of child staged pokemon frolicked by. she was confused, staring into the distant as she was unsure if she should fight them or--well--wait for mateo's return.

for now she just sat within a fountain, simply swimming about. watching the pokemon play tag and gossip to one another about their trainer. this wasn't her scene. she'd rather be off doing some training exercises. this was a new change of pace. it was...relaxing. perhaps this was a vacation, a little r&r.

seadra simply kept to herself. swimming in the fountain and awaiting for someone or something to come along and snatch her attention away. yeah, this was nice. she could get used to this.

mateo was called out to help a farmer. she was an old woman who recently became a widow. they were here to help her harvest. someone else was suppose to come assist mateo, but he wasn't aware as to whom. but this wasn't his first rodeo helping this woman.

if anything, she made mateo blush. she had such a motherly nature to her. mateo awaited outside of her home, in front of her house, for the person who was to come assist him in harvesting berries for the old woman. the old woman wanted to stay and greet the assistant, but mateo told her it was fine and to go take a nap. so she did.

for now he sat upon a rocking chair. waiting for his partner to come help. such a simple request, this was going to be pretty easy. he wondered what they were like. hoenn had some kooky characters.

mateo was asked to be apart of some wrestling match as a guest appearance. apparently having one of the elite four as a guest participant would help with ticket selling. he hated being in the spotlight, it was embarrassing.

he and druddigon stood side by side as they entered. a roaring crowd greeted the caped male and his pokemon. druddigon was shy, whereas mateo simply looked off to the side disinterested. but he, too, had been shy--more so bashful. the announcer would announce his name, introducing druddigon and he, by his title, "the dragon king".

"and then i was like, 'i got that boom boom pow'!" a joke he stole from @mrtm87 , he was surrounded by a plethora of female rangers. swarmed by women at the moment, he was too busy entertaining them. laughing with them all the while as he, and they, were here to do a job. it lasted for awhile, but eventually they'd catch some noivern's.

"oi, make him stop that!" he'd call for alakazam to come out of the back room. entering from the balcony, he'd use DISABLE upon the MIST that kept spraying out. "you know what to do, dragonite. safeguard us!" a coat of aura would come to envelop mateo and company. protecting them not only from the sheer cold, but any possible chance of being frozen to death due to his recklessness.

if anything he wondered how kyle, being so close to their recklessness, wasn't freezing to death from this temperature. he was literally trying to murder them, "safety measures?! you're trying to commit murder-suicide, cut it out! sceptile, altaria, follow up and stop that from growing anymore!" sceptile and altaria, too, would utilize MIMIC: DISABLE to halt the two-thirds of sheer cold's growth.

he came. upon seeing his frosty breath, he knew that--one day--it'd come to this. dragons were looked down upon when in the face of their adversaries: the cold ones, ice-types to be presumed. if it wasn't their own kind that they had to worry about, it was outsides. the fairies and the ice, mateo made sure to have some form of counter against his opposites. to those who didn't know him, they'd see it as a time to strike due to he and his teams weakness. but how could he call himself a member of the elite four if he allowed type advantage to stump him?

as he stood atop of the balcony FERNANDO SILPH had once resided. he'd come to place his right geta upon the railing, a loud slam clanging with the metal railing. he'd toss the ball of his altaria into the sky where, upon the battlefield, its ability CLOUD NINE would come to suppress the effects of SNOW WARNING. disassembling the frosty weather that poured white powder from above.

"if you think we're weak, then you're dead wrong..." he murmured, "if you think we're weak then you're dead wrong!" he shouted. "we're huntail and we're here to win! right men?!" suddenly a shout was heard from first level of their warfront. it was a group of non-important's waiting within the front gates to take charge, each of them with a single pokemon out. "who are we?!" he'd ask, they'd shout, "huntail!" mateo, once more, asked, "who the fuck are we?!" they'd shout, "huntail!" after their first defeat from yesterday, mateo gathered a unit to instill with confidence. to enchant them with a fiery courage for vengeance.

"and what do we do to outsiders?!" he asked, they'd respond with a shout, "fuck'em up!" mateo, shouting from above, "that's right! now fuck'em up, charge!" dragonite, standing behind him, roared to signal the unimportant to move forward. rushing in the midst of @ noelle and @ sunny's clean up, the angry mob and their single 'mons would charge after. rushing to dive on kyle lopez as mato watched from above.

"eat shit, kyle!" mateo shouted from the balcony. together he and dragonite laughed as the stampede targeted kyle. rushing out of their front toward the enemy, energetic and motivated.
