He... didn't feel anything? Was he not- Wait, it hasn't been long since he became an avatar, maybe he's not as sensitive to the energies of the world as the others grew to be. Balder exhaled as he took back his casual pose. "I guess I should show this in a different way in that case."[break][break]

The Alolan took a deep breath, suddenly allowing the aura to grow stronger. "I believe you are aware of my avatar powers. Skin of steel and manipulation of light... Well keep in mind, I'm not using them right now. What I'm going to do, is purely with the power I wish to teach you."[break][break]

Raising his foot high, he slammed it downward, crushing the sand underneath. Zac would be able to feel a small tremor from that action alone, but Balder wasn't done. He reeled back his arm, before thrusting forward. From the strike, a gust of wind rose up, lifting a veil of sand to surge forward, reaching a distance of 10 feet before dying down. "Of course, that's only a part of the utility this power gives. There's another bonus that I'll teach you as well, one that I discovered. What do you think?"

"Hope you know what you just unleashed on yourself." Big words, but can she own up to them? The usage of a Z-Move did seem to indicate she was going all-in on this one. Balder could most likely take the hit just fine but... There was something he wanted to do. Something different from usual. "Cub, you're up."[break][break]

The little ice bear advanced forward to stand before the man, only a few steps before him. "Sync up. We're doing like we practiced." After a nod from the ice bear, the show started. Both of them jumped slightly before planting their feet solidly on the ground. Hands extended forward, both released a breath, surprisingly visible, as if the air had gotten colder around them. A white transparent aura began to surround the two of them, connecting them with a bright link.[break][break]

From the viewpoint of the gym Leader, who's used to using Z-Moves (?), she would be able to notice that this wasn't anything normal. Completely different from how she and any other trainers normally use Z-Moves.[break][break]

As the energy finished surrounding them, Balder crossed his arms overhead, as did the Cubchoo, before separating them rapidly and finishing the movement with his arms extended on both sides, as if he was T-Posing for dominance (If it wasn't for him being anchored on the ground and legs spread to hold him properly). The Pose was complete.[break][break]

The Cubchoo howled as a small ring of ice rose around the team, barely reaching 2 feet high. "Unleash Subzero Hammer." A massive ray of frost energy, bigger then even Balder, was shot towards the the incoming Crashing Crescendo, attempting to freeze it in it's trajectory and possibly send it back.[break]

Notes: Z-Pose used, Subzero Hamer used to attempt to freeze and push back the opposing Z-Move. (Also thank you work for being so damn slow today)

Sadly, the man did expect such changes. He had surfed for years in Alola and travelled around, flying and everything. Reading the wind? Understanding the movements and how to maneuver? How Nature can try to have her ways? That's something he had learned with the years. Thus, he knew what was coming, what would try to cause his fall.[break][break]

As the updraft came, forcing the reactors upward, balder proceeded to put all of his weight at the front of the reactor, forcing it to remain straight. Nonetheless, the wind did push him and the reactors upward, ending up near the clouds once more. Balder sighed and pressed the communicator.[break][break]

"Are we done with this part yet? This is getting redundant, flying around with no aim and no goal." No use masking his feelings on that one. It was getting long and time-wasting. It was better to move to the tag portion of the challenge now.[break]

Note: In the future, please message me if you want to assume something about Balder/make him do something... Saying he wouldn't expect an updraft, considering this challenge and his past... It makes no sense to not expect that.

Her pokemons had good judgement. Stopping her from getting closer during the defense and warping her back to her position. It seems they knew what he did in a way, that they are aware of his potential. "Guess you're not aware of who, or rather what I am. I'm surprised but also happy, for once, that someone doesn't know my identity."[break][break]

"Don't worry though. The person that can murder me doesn't exist. I doubt they ever will." The man stretched once more, twisting his arms and upper body to be sure to maximize the effect on his muscles. "I could tell you how I did this... Or I could make you work for it."[break][break]

The man grinned. A mischievous grin, showing he had something in mind. "Yeah, let's make you work for it. If you're able to push me from the spot I'm standing right now, I'll tell you my secret. And with the strength you displayed just now, it won't be happening. You'll need to go all out. Use your team's full power and potential." The pokemons behind him seemed to be having fun, as they were giggling and cheering them both.

Seems like the gym leader was wounded by his comment about not measuring up to Kyle. Balder sighed. "As a trainer and individual, you are equal, possibly even superior in certain aspects. However, the man has something you don't. And that's his powers as an avatar. And also considering the fact he gets sent to almost every battlefield, we could also include his experience."[break][break]

At the question of trying to understand what the Alolan was saying, Balder nodded. "I'm saying that I can teach you a way to rival the strength and power of an avatar. On being on the same footing as us. And possibly even pierce through my steel defense with that new power."[break][break]

Considering how Noah had attempted to punch him back when the Ex-Gym Leader struck Kyle, surely the mention of this possibility would feel enticing, even though he repeated it again. But would it be enough to explain to him what this ability would offer, without having to disclose everything? "If you want, I can show you what I mean. If you got a training target for me to strike."

The fact that Zac agreed so readily to his offer stunned the Alolan. He expected questions, having to explain more. But no, the man was ready to jump in. Another surprise from the gym leader. First requesting to fight Celesteela, now this. The man chuckled.[break][break]

"Glad to see you're eager. Hopefully your resolve will stick till the end." Balder removed his shirt and discard it to the side. "What we're going to do first... is for you to observe." On that note, the Alolan took a deep breath. His muscles bulked up slightly before the man started to move.[break][break]

Movements being rather fluid, but direct. Executed with no hesitation. Yet, it was hard to determine the reason for these movements. Until the man proceed to finish this chain of movements into a pose.[break]

As the wind blew stronger, it seemed like a veil of energy surrounded the man's body. A faint glow, giving his skin a shine similar to someone after they oiled up. After a few seconds, the energy dissipated and the man broke the pose. "What did you feel as you observed me doing... this?"

Balder shook his head at the question. Noticing her frown. He couldn't help but understand her train of thought. What would happen to her if she lost the bond with her legendary? No one wants to live through that, which is understandable. And Balder wouldn't wish for anyone to go through it either.[break][break]

As she described her powers, Balder couldn't help but think that it was fitting for her. But at the mention of flight... "Wait, you can fly?" The man was wondering how that was possible. But... considering all the powers she named, there was one conclusion he could make. "Moltres is your legendary, am I guessing correctly?"[break][break]

A bird wrapped in flames, able to set things on fire. And flies. Nothing else fitted the bill, it had to be that one. Considering what she said, he now remembered the times he spent at her place. That one time they were on the couch. How warm, or rather hot, she felt. "Now that explains a bunch of things... I'm glad you acquired powers that compliment well with your specialty."

So she became a workaholic huh... "Infinity industries. They're recent in the region, aren't they? It's really nice that you work with them though." And she was now on a break as she had finished her project. So relaxing should be a priority right?[break][break]

The man had a small idea. He proceeded to search his bag, before pulling out a bluetooth speaker. He then took out his Smartphone, proceeding to play around with some settings. Suddenly, the speaker came to life, playing some music. Music that the lady would be familiar with, as it was the same kind that they used to dance on at the bar.[break][break]

An hand extended before her, the Alolan smiled. "Would you grant me the honor of this dance?" The man winked at her before doing a small laugh. "It's clearly not the best setting, but I think it could be nice for you to forget about work and do something different."

The Alolan stood up, turning to watch Noah directly. "I'm not here for a gym battle. I'm here to train you." Most likely, the gym leader wouldn't believe him. Especially think him crazy. Noah was a fighting type gym leader after all, so his martial prowess was known.[break][break]

"Let's just say that what I'll teach you will allow you to stand against humans and pokemons alike, with your own fists. To summon power and strength enough to bend steel, possibly even breach my avatar ability. Of course, if you still think it's a waste of time and don't want it, Just say so and I'll leave. But that training could allow you to stand side by side with Kyle on the battlefield."

Oh right, it was that challenge. The "Bullet Hell".[break][break]

... Did someone tell her that her attacks were not related to bullets at all? Or most of them at least. And did she seriously call one of her pokemons "Airpod" like the product from the famous company Flapple Corp? Balder scratched the back of his head before he whistled a note. "Sticking to the plan. Defense up."[break][break]

The army of small creatures to proceeded to place themselves behind Balder. As the attacks neared him, covering the view the gym leader would have on him, his hands ignited. With hands burning bright, the Alolan began to slice some of the attacks, while tanking some of them against his steel body. As the water attacks collided with his hands, the water evaporated due to the intense heat, causing a wall of steam. The man proceeded to quickly deactivate the ignition so that the Gym Leader wouldn't notice that power.[break][break]
