That's why he was surprised to have retained these powers. And that they had even grown stronger. Could that be related to the influence of the Primal Energy, during the Aqua meeting? Hard to say at this point. As Balder recalled his Heatran, to avoid further complications, he looked over at Stormy and her team.[break][break]

"You know, I never actually asked. What ARE your powers anyway? And the legendary that chose you?" He could've looked into the records of the Aqua Initiative, but that felt useless. And he had never seen her use her powers, nor the legendary, so the man was clueless about her abilities.

Balder directed his gaze at Remiel. Was he for real? Isra wasn't in that world anymore though, he knew this for a fact. So why would he wish to go there himself? Unless... Could she have gone back in there as the man had returned and the portal closed? This was also a possibility.[break][break]

But then, the royal prince of Galar asked how much would the Alolan charge to be the guide into this other world. Balder remained silent for a couple of seconds before laughing his lungs off. "No sane individual would return in that universe, even with all the money of the world granted to them."[break][break]

But... Who said he was sane himself anyway? His laugh died down before his face took a more serious expression. "If you're really serious about going, I need to warn you: Forget everything you think you know, and be prepared for anything. Ultra Space isn't so kind, our standards and common sense do not apply there. And if you understand all of this, then you'll be allowed to come. Because I have matters to settle over there as well."

It seemed like reaching above the clouds wasn't the answer to this conundrum. Not long after the man had pierced the veil of fluffy cumulonimbus, more of them were summoned to try and reach him. Guess that meant he had to dive back in and play this differently. The man oriented his reactor-board skywards, before cutting-back and diving down, piercing through the clouds.[break][break]

The second reactor resumed its position of shield overhead, reading to intercept any lightning bolts that would come their way. As they pierced through the veil of clouds, the man noticed the wind had picked up, blowing haphazardly. Hurricane had been added to the lot huh...[break][break]

Both reactors slowed down. Flying at full speed in this weather was now more dangerous then anything. And as they were sailing through the wind, the man decided to activate his steel-like skin. Precaution for whatever else could be sent their way.

The gym leader finally arrived as the man finished stretching. She mentioned how everyone kept talking about him, which made the ex-Gym Leader wonder what they could've been saying. Nothing too bad about him right? But then, her comment came about the pokemons he had brought. "They may be small, but it doesn't mean they're unable to face you properly."[break][break]

Plus, he kept an ace upon his belt, ready to deploy if things went south. The man went near the group of child that kept playing and whistled two simple notes. The small creatures looked upon their masters and proceeded to gather near him, ready to spend their surplus of energy. "Ready whenever you are, Ms. Miro."

Considering how the current king of fighters is an old man... Wouldn't that mean the Original was even older? Ancient, even? Unless... "... Please tell me there's no time shenanigans or some ultra-spacian kind of thing involved here." The fact that this Pokkenger, who seemed almost like the actual one, stood here while the regular Kazimir was beside him... It was the only explanation.[break][break]

Balder took a deep breath, clenching his fists and closing his eyes. The second after, as he released the air accumulated within, his fists released their pressure and the energy accumulated within him dispersed, making his skin return to human properties. He opened his eyes and walked towards them, but keeping his distance.[break][break]

"Is this related to Dialga's appearance? To the time chaos he caused and allowed us to relive some past experience?" The appearance of the mythical creature was still fresh in his memory. Even though it seemed like everyone affected lived the same events, it's possible that Kazimir could've been sent into the past... right? But then, would he still be standing here...

Celesteela had fallen, but was hopefully recovered in his pokeball by Balder before the Spout took them, to a simple tactic of Destiny Bond it seems. And attacks kept coming too. Thankfully, Pokkenger gave him a moment of respite, freeing the man from the clutches of the crystal vine. As it came back for more, with the help from a distant Psychic, the Swampert moved forward and used the Water Sprout, plus its own water powers, to Protect the alolan.[break][break]

"Mega, it's enough." The swampert looked back at the Alolan, confused. The man looked at his opponent, his nemesis. The only living being that could actually pierce his steel defenses. This man was a danger to the Avatars, to society. Were he to flee, it would be others that would fall in his stead.[break][break]

"Karma's a bitch huh..." Abusing his avatar powers, losing Leo, causing the Megalopolan war... Seems like Karma wasn't done claiming its dues with him. The comms flared up, a private channel with Pokkenger ( Kazimir Wynter ). "I got a mission for you. Retrieve my Swampert, the pokeballs I left with him, and my shard. And throw that shard at the spire. Then, bail out of here with the others. I'll keep rocket here."[break][break]

The comm channel was closed right afterwards. No time for complaints, time for actions. The alolan proceeded to remove his pokeball belt and strapped it to his Swampert. He then hooked the Shard upon it, to be recovered by Pokkenger and later used on the Spire. "Final job for you bud. Send me flying towards that crystal bastard. I'm not going down without a fight."[break][break]

The Swampert hesitated for a few seconds, before nodding. Following that, using the current of the Sprout. the Swampert rose up before throwing Balder out. the creature then proceeded to retreat to Pokkenger's location, handing him everything.[break][break]

In mid-air, the Alolan was diving forward, aiming to reach Chu-e Choi . At the same time, his body was emitting the strongest light possible, in order to blind anyone looking his way. His final attempt to try and get the upper hand. If it failed... His doom awaited.

The light... The steel... Gone? That wasn't the first time he felt this. In this city no less. That little cloud-like thing that Kyle had brought him, in hopes of understanding it. But now... there was a human version of that power-sucking chibi? Feeling the burn and his powers getting sucked even further, Balder moved his hand away, backing up before the needles get him.[break][break]

Balder proceeded to press on his earpiece, activating the comms. "Rocket has another Avatar. It can suck another Avatars power. All avatars, stay far away from my location at all costs!!" He removed his shirt, allowing his skin to breathe.[break][break]

As the torrent of water broke through the cave, bringing along lots of people and a specific dangerous legendary, Balder recalled all of his pokemons before bringing out his Damp Swampert. He then looked back towards the Underboss. Just in time too, as he was trying to wrap a crystal vine around his neck. The man attempted to catch it, and hopefully succeeded.[break][break]

"Come on down and face me instead!!" Forcing to keep his attention. He couldn't let this man go, who knows what could happen were he to be free. With Swampert hiding Balder through the torrent of water, the duo tried to remain at the Bay Level. However, the man could feel the shard pulsating in his pocket. Something needed to be done. A heavy finger presses on the communicator twice, opening a private channel with kim cole-essam "Can you open a portal near me? I'll give you the item while I keep that thing away from everyone else..."

Thus, the battle ended, with the Camerupt destroying the Dhelmise. An expected result from the view of any outsides, with the type differences they had. Still, the kid had gotten far, compared to what the bodyguard remembered. Bringing back the Camerupt in his capsule, the man listened to what the kid said... and frowned.[break][break]

"Bringing out that 'Epitaph' of yours could've been a more logical move, yes. But it wouldn't be cheating. Plus, saying that is disrespectful to your pokemon and your opponent." It's like saying it was a mistake to fight with this team, who gave their best to try and give him a victory. "In a battle, you gotta do your best, no matter what. No matter who you fight. Otherwise you'll just be disrespecting this sport and the fighters involved."[break][break]

Hopefully the kid understood what he meant. Balder threw a water bottle at the kid's feet, a reward for reaching this far. Possibly a mark of respect for trying this much against him? Who knows. But the man left soon after.

While the demise of the Duskull was well within prediction, the emergence of a Dhelmise was unexpected. If anything, Balder had expected the kid to pull out his Gengar, which he clearly remembered from the war. But... Maybe this was a blessing somehow?[break][break]

The Shadow Ball struck, making the Dusknoir fall unconcious. The Alolan retrieve the pokemon in its pokeball. "Congrats. Out of all the folks I fought, you're one of the few that was able to knock out some of my pokemons. Sadly though... It's time you met an old friend."[break][break]

A flash of light allowed the Camerupt to appear on the field. And, as soon as it appeared, Balder proceeded to Mega Evolve it. The same form that Andy met back in the Megalopolan war. "Make this quick, Vulcan." Thus, the Camerupt roared, allows the volcano on his back to do an Eruption, sending balls of molten lava at the dhelmise.[break]

The payback was unexpected enough to take the Dusknoir by surprise, making it screech. It was an unexpected turn of event for it. And the damage was already starting to be felt. Yet, it needed to take the advantage once more. Thus, with a fist covered with darkness, the Dusknoir released another Shadow Punch at the duskull.[break]

"Release him from his cold cell, Dusk." After a successful freeze, now came the release of the icy shell. Dusknoir reeled back his other arm, fist beginning to cover in flames. Once it was ready, it launched the attack forward, aiming to destroy and melt the ice, as well as "warm" the creature kept inside.[break]
