under normal circumstances, a pokemon would fear the intimidation of a large creature. but those under his tutelage were taught neither to fear nor be brave. just to simply be. decidueye was no stranger to fear, but hesitation. the intimidation held great effect upon it physically as it remained in place.

a darkened sky. the rain was set as it poured from above. "ahh, exciting!" he commented on the drizzle. what was he going to show him? "standby, ready yourself." they waited to see just what the sea dragon had in store. "don't disappoint me." dawn's smile never wavered.

"our job is to find this 'mr. everbrite'." eyeing each group member, he'd say, "make sure you find him. do it with stealth, and be sure not to make a mess of things." meaning no killing. if he found out such an incident were to occur so help him.

"Goro Shimizu, keep your pokemon close by. we'll be needing it to do any form of memory overwriting." with that they were led into their next direction, "we will create two groups. we have everbrite's name and face, we'll search for him." no matter how far this place led, they were going to find that man and obtain his keycard to the quarantined research facility. "and, if push comes to shove, unless i or Desmond Kelley give the order, you are not to kill him."

"right?! aren't staryu's just the most beautiful creatures to ever lay your eyes upon!" dawn's orbs shimmered brightly with delight. talking about the beautiful pokemon made him an eccentric. "the jewels in the center of their body are just amazing to admire. their shine and glow can catch the eye of many thieves, which is why they're so rare because they tend to hide from humans who're after their jewels. a lot of nasty fellows in this world!" of course, dawn would never do something so heinous. he values pokemon all too well, though he can't speak for his subordinates.

all the while, staryu trailed behind the charmander. following the fiery creature in search of what resided ahead. "hey, hey!" he'd grab hold of starmie's arm. tugging it back to ensure its safety, "be careful there..." he instructed. turning back toward petra, she'd ask of identity. "oh, w-well, that's probably because you might've seen me every now and then in the media." his cheeks glow red from sheer embarrassment. "i-i-i-i-i-i try my best to stay out of the limelight!" arms began to flail, he was utterly ashamed. "to be seen by the world it's just too embarrassing, i'm sorry!" who he was apologizing to? no idea! he was quite the...expressive fellow.

"let's go over the plan." there was a windowsill that was carved in for the duo to jump through. "once inside, we'll look for the room to where they keep the remainder of contest pokemon. before the day of the competition, the competitors pokemon are left in a machine that makes sure they're in good shape and health." his index and middle finger were used to touch the surface of his wrist, "checking their vital signs and making sure they're prepared to perform as intended." continuing, cadis added, "that way they're able to be at full strength and ready to perform with their trainers." once explained, he'd place the mask he held within the palm of his left hand onto his face.

with that being said and done, he'd ask, "got it? any questions?" if there were none, it was time to take action and find the room that housed the resting pokemon. if he had more questions, cadis was ready to answer.

...nothing. for in that room there was nothing but robotics and tests being ran. on a large screen inside the other, one could see that there was a schematic and digital writing along side one part the next. the picture looked odd--strange even. @kingsley could see that what they were examining was no normal pokemon, it was something foul--beastly even.

it was what they were in search of. upon the screen it spoke of the creatures whereabouts. it was somewhere accessible, but only to one person: the overseer of this research who was nowhere to be found in the area they were in. the researchers name?

with all the chaos happening and dawn being out of the radius of FERNANDO SILPH's imprison. dawn, with his drifblim, casually wandered into the base from the back. inside he'd look around, with a casual smile, "nice!" he commented. he'd turn to drifblim, and said, "here."

it was a sad departure but it was for the greater good. with tears shedding, dawn scampered off together with natu, as per usual, casually perched atop of his head. he ran and didn't look back, erratically apologizing, "i'm sorry! i'm sorry! i'm sorry! i'm sorry!"

once dawn was out of the way, he'd take cover. drifblim, then, EXPLODED within the building.

"o-oh!" a sniffle was heard. he'd stand, dusting himself off. "that's right!" in a cheery tone, he'd forgotten all about what'd just happen. his excitement overshadowing his eccentric behavior. "let's head on in!" and inside they went.

once they were respectively upon their side of the field. the colosseum they were in cascaded a large shadow all around them, excluding the field they stood upon. the sun shined brilliantly from above. "natu!" he called, a hand stretched out. the psychic bird would come to perch itself atop of dawn's head. and with that out of the way, he'd continue, "now, give us a show: robin hood!"

upon tossing out a pokeball. multicolored leaves would scatter, spawning from the opened ball as a vast amount rained down from above. covering the entire field in an array of leaves. the leaves, then, swarmed before dawn. gathering and compiling to form the body of robin hood the decidueye, hiding behind an opened wing. masking himself from those who stand before him. "meet robin hood!"

"ah, it's nice to meet you, ms. petra!" in return he'd also introduce himself, "dawn grandier, a pleasure!" he jovially greeted. following behind the guide. he was ecstatic for the venture.

upon entering the cavern. a vast scenery befell him. mixed in with the casual granite found in everyday life, there were shimmering rocks that stood out due to shape or sheen. but none that looked to be of a stone. "beautiful!" with staryu at his side, he'd comment, "i suppose we'll just have to scavenge through the various rocks to find the appropriate stone for staryu." dawn stated. turning toward petra, he'd ask, "have you done this before?" inquiring if this was her first rodeo acting as a guide.

"i'm not very familiar with stones. i've only ever heard of their majestic capability to evolve certain pokemon. the science behind has always poked my interest, of course!" a jovial tone. being able to learn about power of evolutionary stones and witness with his very eyes was simply riveting. to some, perhaps boring, but not to dawn. "i don't need anything like that. and you don't need to tell me with your words. action is all i acquire from you." cadis valued action over words. the sentiment was welcomed, but the best way to witness a human at their peak performance was through action. in a dire situation, the truth behind a person's nature comes to light.

what an energetic boy. youth was an inspiring creature. "you're an intriguing boy." he wanted to know, he needed to ask: what made him tick? the human emotion 'happiness' was a difficult thing to desire. the jovial nature he exhibited made cadis wonder as to what was causing it? the playful taunt given. was the boy that excited to be down here doing something so unreasonable and underwhelming.

illegal fighting was no different than from a random battle on the street. there was truly nothing illegal about it, aside from the mere fact there was a bet being made every second. tittering, cadis, then, decided to entertain both the crowd and his opponent. for this was no different than a contest. "let's entertain the crowd, shall we?" and with that he'd call upon his partner, gallade, onto the field.

a short flamenco dance was given as he stepped onto the stage. "encircle, double team." he'd begin to perform a dance, rotating around the umbreon as multiple copies began to spawn. there were no more than five. had the umbreon chosen to take a physical assault toward the real, it would be met with a swift assault from close combat. if it were to attack a copy with a physical assault? then an aerial ace would strike the dark-type from the back. though, if it chose to make a long range assault, gallade was prepared to use teleport and deliver a close combat unto the umbreon from behind.

for now, the goal was to merely confuse the dark creature.

closing his book. a hollow gaze examined the boy. as cadis from his chair, he'd come to jump from the stage and landed before the male. though, at first look, cadis exhibited no form of expression. he merely wore a frightful gaze that, if possible, could pierce the thick armor of an aggron.

a single hand arose, moving forward as if he were aiming to grab the male by his throat. but, that wasn't the case, a simple hand came crashing down unto the male's shoulder. "ahhh, i'm so glad you made it in one piece!" a frown befell the man as he began sulk. repeatedly patting the male upon his shoulder, "i thought you were in some sort of accident, it's good to know you got here in one piece! i can finally breathe!" placing his book within the coat of his suit jacket. cadis, thankfully, was finally able to breathe.

"i was getting so worried that i just had to start reading! if i didn't i was probably going to go into shock!" a gentle smile had been thrown toward the male. it was genuine, soft, "you arrived just in time, rhys! i wanted to meet you personally, a simple one on one session before the meeting were to begin!" he wanted to learn about the newcomer whom recently joined rocket. nothing wrong with that, right? everything was fine and dandy!

with rocket going underground. they needed fresh blood. rhys was told to hold promise and that cadis needed to meet him. "my coworkers speak highly of you, rhys. i don't know the exact details as to how you were recruited, but..." he paused to gather his thoughts, "...i'd like to know why rocket?" here did his test begin.

"bugoh!?" it uttered. his wing had been taken into the mouth of a beast. "what is wrong with you?!" swablu shouted, flailing the arm that was taken into its mouth. upon the creature letting it go, swablu began to rub its cotton arm.

"you're a gible alright." he was wide awake now. "we do a lot!" yawning, swablu would gesture the gible to follow as he took flight. "we've got our own park!" swablu showed the gible the various obstacle courses that were made for the many different species. a large area where, before them, many pokemon were seen playng. aipom and mankey's upon the jungle bars, whimsicott, oddish, and roselia's were seen bathing in the sun and playing within what seemed to be some sort of garden. cyndaquil and ekans sliding down a slide.

"and then you have the water-types who usually can be found swimming within the fountains and pools nearby. you pretty much have your whole pick of the litter, but the growlithe's and poochyena can get pretty violent with one another. so i'd be careful playing with them..." swablu groaned.

he was here to be escorted into the mines of rusturf tunnel. he was in search of a water stone. there were many who already came, cadis was just another addition. he'd put in a request for an escort. whether that escort came or not didn't matter to him. he'd go inside himself if he had to.

staryu stood beside cadis. casually awaiting to enter the cave they were promised to venture. with a water bottle in the palm of his right hand, he'd look down at his pokemon. without warning, he poured water atop of it. "i apologize about this, staryu. i know you're antsy to get in there, don't worry. we'll be in there soon, just need to wait a little longer." cadis wondered if they were late or something had happened.

regardless, he bided his time for now. casually stroking and cleaning staryu's jewel as they waited. it wouldn't be long now.
