trash deserve to be trash, and he's already doing them a favor by taking them in. these parts better be lucky he's not selling them as they were and that they are going to be reused for whichever side project wolfgang decides is worth his free time.

he wasn't really good at reading people, but he makes a guess on what she wants from the way she's talking.

wolfgang feels like he's not obligated to answer, but feels like he really should for the sake of being nice if he really wants to change. with a gruff sigh, he turns back to his pile and enumerates the first few things he sees.

"monitors with a busted fuse or two, old computers that i can salvage processors and shit from, some scrap that are literally heaps of metal, remote controllers and phones..."

he stops and turns back to her. this was the part where he gets judged so he quickly throws out a defensive excuse.

"if they left it here, then it's basically trash, aight? we're free to take 'em as we please."

it was still fun to try a magikarp splash despite it having no real reason to attempt to do so. that's what he tells himself, when in reality, he just tries to do it since everyone else was doing it and it'll be awkward to not go with the crowd.

sometimes, knowing how maths work was a bane. it just feels like a slap in the face when you know the odds are in your favor, but they don't seemingly produce results accordingly.

regardless, wolfgang attempts anyways. maybe it's on the last tries where the numbers start to pop up.

the fish he keeps on getting were all small. it doesn't fetch a nice value on the market if they weren't big enough to be feasted on, and everything that wasn't bred by professionals weren't pretty enough to be displayed on rich people's aquariums either!

the last dive was a bust, but if there's like a five percent chance that he gets something expensive, then that just means he has to dive twenty times to get returns.

it's not how math actually works, and he hurt himself a little for convincing himself with that logic, but he'll take all the motivation he can for now.
