They had peace… for all of 0.5 seconds before someone came running out onto a balcony and was literally shouting for help!

Her Inteleon had spotted the child and then quickly made to aim a Hydro Pump around the place where the child had emerged, making sure to only stop for the strange-looking Primeape to grab the child and get out of range before continuing to hose down the upper floors with the Water-type attack.

Down on the ground… the Primarina then started to aim high, her own Hydro Pump bursting forth and quelling the flames enough for the two Pokémon to go inside.

Now she had her own doubts as to follow or now, however she knew that they would need as much flames put out as possible, and continued to aim her own Water-type attack at the closest places she could reach.

“Where—where’d you get that Primeape? Wait, it’s… it’s a Primeape, right?” she mused, turning to Elaina. It did bear some resemblance to the normal Primeape…

Her (shiny) Greninja was then set upon several Sharpedo and the ugly fish (sorry THEO BECKETT) due to what had happened—whoops—and now they were in a bit of a pickle…

Or were they?

“Oh, come on!” she exclaimed as she turned around to watch the carnage—being swarmed was absolutely brutal. She then tapped to switch communication lines back to the hubby-only one, “Are you okay?!” she exclaimed in Josh Dragomir’s direction before the rest of the communication cut over them and—

“Are you kidding me?!”

The purple cloud had tipped her off to the potential nature of the wild Pokémon that were snacking around—so her Primarina wasn’t a good idea. The good thing about this was—

She then swapped out the Greninja for—

“GO!” she shouted over the communication lines, never mind if everyone had heard her as the Gyarados emerged in the Greninja’s place, roaring underwater before glowering down at the huge-ass Huntail.

Or, well, the bottom half of the Huntail that was still in the water.

Needing no direction, the Gyarados roared as loudly as she could underwater, before charging forward at the Huntail and charging, baring her maw as wide as she could and attempting to take a powerful Bite Crunching chomp out of the bottom half of the Huntail (the part that was submerged, at least)!

• Gyarados charged forward, and attempted to Crunch a part of the Huntail’s body out (the part that’s underwater at least? Maybe?!)

Shame she already had a Darumaka (hell it was the evolved form).

However the moment she saw there was a Scorbunny—she knew she had to get her grubby hands on it, because for some strange reason she had both the other supposed ‘starters’ with her from the Galar region—fully-evolved to boot, as well!

However there was another Pokémon among the entire selection that she had her eye on—

And she was hoping to encounter it before it disappeared soon!

Premium Safari, lesgo

“The important thing is you’re here, what with so many people milling around to watch things can possibly get out of hand,” she nodded quietly as she shuffled around her pockets and pulled out another Pokéball.

It was like the entire situation was mocking her—because right then and there she heard an explosion going off, and she had to resist pinching the bridge of her nose out of frustration.

“Time to bring out more backup,” was all she said next, before summoning a Primarina that appeared in a flash of red light.

“Go, help out!” she continued, tilting her head in the direction of the flames. An alarmed exclamation came from the Primarina, however she was quickly to nod and dash off, letting loose with a Hydro Pump to help out the Inteleon.

Once her two Pokémon were handling the burning situation (heh) she then turned to face the other woman.

“I’m Izumi,” she introduced herself. “Thank hell I’m not handling this alone,” she added a few moments later.

Things were pretty quiet on the home front—the kids were with their grandmothers (yes both of them), Josh Dragomir was most probably out somewhere busy testing the RaiCorp tech in the field, and here she was keeping the peace around the café and helping out when she spotted someone running past, looking harried—

Normal sight, but nothing new, before said person did a u-turn and came scampering back, wheezing for breath.

“What? What is it?” she began, putting the tray down on an empty table and waiting for the other to speak up. The moment there was mention of a fire—

“On it,” and with that off went the apron, and she made a mad dash to the back room to grab her Pokéballs.

In minutes she’d already deployed her Inteleon, darting like a streak across the rooftops as the Water-type summoned a Rain Dance first and aimed it towards where the fires were burning from said apartment complex.

Thankfully she’d brought along several other Pokémon in case the Rain Dance wasn’t going to be enough…

The crowd of people crowding near where the fire was happening didn’t help matters, either.

“Alright, e’rryone, if you’d be so kind as to move out of the way, please!” she shouted as she reached for her Ranger Captain’s badge and slapped it on.

And so the grand finale fell to her—a Clefable.

After witnessing students getting drenched or accidentally stabbed at by all manner of random attacks, she was the last one to go in the line.

However… she wasn’t exactly prepared for this to happen!

Once she’d wagged her digits and the little pinging (or shinging) noise announced that the Metronome had triggered…

Things were quiet. Abnormally quiet.

At least, until the Clefable started glowing. Wasn’t… wasn’t that like, an ominous sign?!

And then everything else around the Clefable began to glow ominously, before one of the sharp-eyed students noticed that—

Panicked screaming and yelling echoed through the room as the Clefable’s Metronome chained into a powerful



Kaboom!

“Oh, you’ve got to be kidding—!”

That was all she had time to exclaim—while they’d managed to clear out the initial wave, fact of the matter was chaos was breaking out over the comm lines, and then—

“What?!” was all she could stammer next, before tapping on her comms and switching to the private one (the hubby-only access one) and then just literally gave a quiet croakscream in Josh Dragomir’s direction.

“Are you fucking hearing this? A distortion, all the way out here?!” she grumbled before catching her Greninja’s eye, who swam off and immediately went to work.

How would a Shadow Sneak work underwater? Time to find out!

The amphibious Pokémon squinted for a few seconds before suddenly ‘disappearing’ into a current of sorts—little did Izumi know her Pokémon had decided to sneak behind the enemy lines and begin to attack from there.

“Well, guess that Froakie you gave me some time ago is really doing their weight, don’t worry about me down here,” she told her better half. “Please get your injury healed up as much as you can!”

Meanwhile…

The Greninja was attempting to cause as much chaos as possible behind the Sharpedo horde, swatting at them like waterbound snowflakes that they were.

• meanwhile her Greninja gets to work!
• Greninja used Shadow Sneak behind enemy Sharpedo lines in an attempt to confuse and confound!

It was go time, so to speak. With a quick peck on her husband’s cheek, she suited up, summoned her Greninja, who then saluted Josh Dragomir as well before the two dove into the water.

There… there was a reason why she chose the Greninja out of her three current companions—the fact that they knew some ranged moves would be a plus.

In no time flat here they were—and there were a lot of Pokémon hanging around the area.

“Oh, come on… but then again, they’re not taking to us nicely, aren’t they,” she said with a sigh as she looked toward her Greninja, who was swimming by her side.

With one gesture, the dual-type split off from where she was working, using Extrasensory to help shoo the peskier Pokémon away from where the other humans were working.

“And of course they had to be the territorial ones…” she continued with a tiny little sigh.

• the two then proceed to dive underwater
• and then the wild Pokémon start attacking them
• Greninja used Extrasensory to help shoo away the other wild Pokémon that get too close!

So, like, there was another ‘call for help’ among the people who weren’t panicking about the end of the world—

They needed help walking their multitude of feline and canine companions! Who was she to say no?!

Arguably, she realized that Josh Dragomir may have been a better fit for this with Buddy the Arcanine, however the day she was scheduled to do this he was one city over helping out take care of some raucous Chatot…

Ah, well, his loss for skipping out on walking the good boyos!

Unfortunately, Izumi herself had a Meowth that needed walking—and this Meowth was the Alolan kind! So… 1000% more sassy. Unbelievable.

Of course she wasn’t going to stop preening herself every ten steps or so.

Talk about being a major show-off.

Whoa…

What were these things?!

Originally she’d come by the Mossdeep Space Center to drop off a delivery from the family café to some of the scientists that had placed a rather large order for a business meeting, however on her way back and out of the place everything started going to shit…

“What the hell’s going on?!” she exclaimed as she squinted through the gloom, trying to pick out if she was still in Hoenn.

(Look, it was her very first time encountering these things, and so she was confused to all hell about them!)

It didn’t take long before she’d accidentally stepped on something that crunched underfoot…

“Huh?” she blinked as she looked down and picked up a piece of something… red?


What was this?

“Hmm…” she continued to herself, looking around and making sure there wasn’t anything else coming at her from out of the weird energy crackling around, before she beat a hasty retreat.

Izumi picked up a Red Shard!

Unlike her partner, she—well, Izumi had brought nothing but Water-types along.

Let’s be honest: if you’re someone from Lavaridge who has a passion for swimming, and the hot springs aren’t enough, well…

Definitely someone would volunteer to go diving accompanied by her Water-types!

(Even if she had more Fire-types between the two of them, how in the hell did that happen?!)

“Here, you silly, you forgot to get your arm band,” she began with a ‘pointed’ eye roll, but her look was full of humor as she slapped an orange arm band into her husband’s hands.

Of course she was taking a blue armband for herself.

“Are you ready?” she asked him afterward. And then there was the matter of the—

“…are the shiny new toys waterproof? If they are, how deep can they be taken underwater before they start malfunctioning?”

Looks like today was also going to be a field testing day for the HoloVision tech, too!
