Behind Lars, Kaida felt a little bit better. Better still as her warning was heeded. And then instantly shuddered again as the nearly invisible pulse reverberated through her heels.

"I didn't bring any fire types...I think I would rather not be very visible here." As she spoke, she released a Gorebyss. Contrary to appearance, it was a deep sea Pokemon, yet as she released it, it seemed just as out of place. She sucked in a breath through her teeth, hating how the heartbeat sound seemed to speed up at the sound, and spoke quickly, "Yes, Lars. I-I will try and protect us. Din, let's go."

Despite the unease, Din listened, swimming through the air towards the caverns. She wasn't sure if her eyes were playing tricks on her, or if something gleamed in time with the pulses.

As reality fragmented, like a collapsing cavern, new paths unlocked themselves. Paths that were not tread by human feet and, as Kaida entered the new reality, she realized something about this path. It was not meant to be tread by human feet.

She entered the dimension like a drowning woman, flailing in the oddly buoyant air with a brief shriek. Eyes wide, she whirled in place, ears thudding with a bloodless heartbeat. A thudding that shuddered across her cells, observed this new presence, and quite suddenly, knew they were here.

Abruptly, she calmed, landing and slinking behind Lars. This was her first time being hunted by a true predator, but she knew what to do. Stay quiet, stay unnoticed, try to avoid its presence...at least, if she could determine where it even was.

"I think something noticed us." Her entrance may have already given the situation away, but she attempted to maintain calm. Who knew how the others would react if they knew some beast that was everywhere knew they were here?

As Julia arrived behind her, Kaida paused, prepared to offer assistance. The other Ranger was a reliable sort, she knew, because she was at that battle. "Hello, Julia. Good day. She'd have to know her beyond surface level. Sacha and the children though, made her freeze. Not out of dislike, but simply because she wasn't yet prepared for the equivalent of baby Pokemon. Were they disciplined? Wild? Happy? She could barely tell, eyes flicking over faces and unable to decipher anything.

"N-no, I'm good. It's just a scratch, my Pokemon healed me." She didn't mention how she'd found shrapnel in her back from the explosion. It wasn't important, she just kept her backpack off those hidden bandages.

She attempted to keep an ambiguous raise of her lips, easily mistaken for a smile, as she entered. The approaching Wooloo made that easier. So did the smell of food, this might be easy.

"Greetings Memo...is Alexei busy?" She tilted her head at the man's rush, meandering forward and irreverently pulling of cartons of ice cream. Approaching the table, it was clear she'd set them right on the organized display if not stopped, "I brought these as gifts. Ice creams. Many flavours."

The four seconds were one short eternity, an eternity that Kaida had to accept as they chased down the winners, that they lost. A mournful howl from her Onix rumbled the air as he passed the finish line, coming to the same realization she did.

Of course, she clapped to the winners, the ground rumbling with her Onix's thumping tail. The race had made him happy, even to lose, she'd never seen the Onix so energetic.

"We have to do this again."

A red and orange blur soared into sight, the snow melting off of its scales as it touched down nearby. Kaida's Charizard, as she feared the cold might offset her Yamega's flight...along one other thing. The bandages on her head clearly gave the woman a headache, swaying briefly before managing to steady herself on the dracanoid's flank.

"Sorry. Rest a bit, I'm just...hanging out with human family?" She wasn't sure a Charizard would have much to talk about there, except maybe to eat everything. None of her usual partners were present, the cold having sent them to burrows or their Pokeballs...it was just her here.

Pulling up her jacket, she breathed out a plume of white and waved to where the window was as she approached, kicking mounds of snow out of the way as she did.

As they free the time dragon, one terrifying moment drags on as it rears up. Had the pain of its capture driven it mad? Kaida flinches back as it unleashes a Roar of Time, only opening her eyes as she hears buildings being repaired, a Pokemon god with a heart for humans?

"Wait!" She tries to dig in her bag for another Potion as Diagla disappears, tripping over her own feet as the world spins around her eyes. The dragon was gone by the time her eyes focused again, she could only hope it was healing in peace. Something touched her neck, and the pulsing pain in her face started to calm.

"Oh, thank you, Indunn." Her mumble was barely audible, but the Comfey just continued its Floral Healing until she could push up against the ground. Crystals pushed against her palms, and she felt as if something was pulsing against the ground.

"We need to get away...rest." Everything was ok now, they could worry about other world ending events later.

TLDR: Kaida tried to rush to help heal Diagla, only for it to disappear and her to fall. Comfey starts using Floral Healing on her, as she realizes the town is now dangerous.

They'd done all they could. Whatever place they were in, they'd have to fight just to stay in it. Kaida clicked her tongue, clinging tight to her Onix as he lashed his tail, the last of his rough body coming off in a Rock Polish.

In just a moment, it'd all be over. She could only hope everyone saw the toughness of her Pokemon. Or at the very least, Rangers.

The speed of the race was incredible. Kjoll stuttered not more than a moment, and racers passed them with a whoosh. Undeterred, he raced onwards. The slide was a tempting option, but the debris at the bottom promised a slow down that they could not afford.

Despite the danger of sliding off, Kjoll snaked his way over to the ramps, hoping his airborne crashing would shake things up for the racers without falling himself.

Up above, the mission succeeded, something in the back of Kaida's mind took note. She would be relieved, if in that moment the power didn't surge down and strike the Primal Point. Once again, she was too close to something, and threw herself in front of her Comfey. Something slammed into her flank. Her feet left the ground. Indunn squealed.

Blackness met her only briefly, wrenching upwards with a fury only she could still have. The burning bile in her throat only boiled more as she watched Diagla be restricted by the man and his Unknown.

"Let. It. Go!" Something hot was dribbling down her chin, and she only wished she could spit it like some venomous serpent. Besides her, only scratched from being blown back with her, Indunn leapt up and wrapped around her neck for support. The Unknown was a chain, they would have to break it. A whirling Magical Leaf blinked into existence, hanging in the air like decoration for one moment, and leaping forward like brittle fangs the next. They would not miss their targets.

Even through the rush of maintaining her position, when the dangerous obstacle rears its ugly head, Kaida does what she always does...she plays it safe. Never risking her Pokemon, she taps Kjoll's head with a sharp, "No." The length of the jump was too far, and not something she could expect to clear without luck. She didn't trust luck.

Thus, with a grumble, Kjoll took the turns once more, rushing in an attempt to beat any jumpers.

Revives were never a perfect heal, more to bring a Pokemon's consciousness back. Locke's wounds would require care and time, something they did not have in abundance. Nonetheless, when she returned the spider, kneeling hidden near the Primal Point, she could be assured the Pokemon could still battle.

When the mysterious man appeared, Kaida tilted her head, eyes narrowed. "Know its place?" So was the god against this, originally? Arceus was the god of Pokemon, of everything, as far as Kaida was concerned. One would think this would make her back down. Surprises were everywhere, today.

"But I'm supposed to defend this place." That was it, in truth. If Arceus was the god of this world, it needed to take some responsibility and talk to her personally. Fix things before they went wrong. That's what a leader was supposed to do, and the insanity of expecting a god to follow her ideals of packleader was lost on her.

Tapu Bulu whooshed past her, and one of her Pokeballs was empowered. Without thinking, she released her Comfey, who swirled briefly in the air before balking at the sight of the draconic ruler of time.

"Let's teach another Pokemon." Indunn was a timid creature...but he was a fairy, being confronted with a dragon was no reason to disobey Kaida. Calming beasts was what they did. As Roar of Time screamed out, the Comfey launched out a Leech Seed, bristling with vines. The attack would attempt to hold the dragon fast, draining whatever power it could.
