Neither trainer nor Pokemon were fools. She would not be able to dodge the Bounce, and so Kaida jumped up, already throwing her next Pokemon. If she was going to lose a Pokemon in battle, she would trade blows. The Aradios didn't move after being blown back, unconscious.

"My people, my Pokemon...family. Is there anything else im supposed to protect?" Her face twisted, "Im not so cruel as to leave people in danger while I'm doing this, though." She had already said her part on keeping the Primal Point safe just in case. A Rocket likely wouldn't understand this...she was sure most Leaguers would have said for justice" or "to help everyone" but she didn't let such word flow from her lips. It was simple. As always.

And a simple attack was flung at the frog, an Ekans, fangs gleaming with Giga Drain.

Both Locke and Kaida threw themselves to the ground as a sudden Magnezone and it's Zap Cannon suddenly screamed through, momentarily convinced the attack was coming for them. Instead it was...a Leaguer...she didn't recognize him, but decided to accept the help anyway.

"Not tricked...I have something to protect, and this is wasting my time."

She wanted to believe the Rocket man fled, but she was no fool. No fleeing footsteps, but a deathly silence signaled his intent to battle among the smoke.

"Locke, find them." Her voice was just a whisper, hoping to obscure any intent. The Ariados was mostly physical, her claws and horn her main forms of attack. She kept one trick under wraps, her eyes glowing a piercing red before of pulse of Psychic whooshed around her, stripping the bark off of the trees. With Focus Energy coursing through her body, should the Psychic energy hit either trainer or Pokemon, it would hit hard.

Using his long body, Kjoll didn't slow, carving swaths in the race course as he made his turns. Kaida leaned against his horn as they turned, not certain how much her weight was helping, yet still trying.

Locke tried to skitter away as she noted the enemy she struck was an illusion, but the spider was not swift enough. Even a simple rock could be deadly if it pierced her exoskeleton. So she decided to make a sacrifice.

Her horn glowed with power, the Ariados crouching to maintain her stance as she used Megahorn. The Smack Down hit hard, shattering and smashing her back, but she survived with a chipped horn. Exoskeleton intact, her legs quivered with a Focus Energy.

Perhaps it was the last time she was in Littleroot, with that Leaguer who thought Rocket could want to help...and then she remembered the burned crops, and something hot like bile rose in her throat.

"Besides, if that happens, it will be my job to take Littleroot back. You never take proper care of things, and it's kinda my job to take care of things." She'd never be a people person, she couldn't. She could understand everyone needed food, security. It was her job to extend that as much as possible.

"I need to get back to the point. Apologies." Of course, she was apologizing to Elijah's Pokemon.

A harsh whistle filled the air, and Locke sprung from her perch, seemingly mindlessly for Elijah...and vanished with a Shadow Sneak, reappearing behind them in an attempt to strike them into the webs.

It was a cheap shot, but it wasn't her job to fight honorably.

As a figure approached, Kaida returned Munin, crouching next to her Ariados. The trees and webs between them provided them some protection and cover, but she still felt awfully vulnerable.

She didn't recognize the man, and stranger still she wasn't met with immediate attack. Even if he wasn't part of the League, was it possible for her to slither her way out of this?

"Stay away from here. The meteor is coming." She jerked her head up, praying this was a reasonable person, the deadly rock only getting closer in the sky, "We're going to stop it, I promise that. So stay away from me."

If only she knew there was a more battle hungry beast just out of her sight.

Munin burst from the ground, Kaida under an arm as they emerged. Ignoring the battles going on around her, Kaida knelt next to the gator as she collapsed, comfirming her fears. A shard of white stuck from the Krookidile's snout, sharply scarlet and obviously agonizing. It was an injury she'd have to tend to over weeks, if they survived today.

She was a beast of habit, however, and looked to survive the next few minutes rather than later. There were eyes on her, likely noticing her injured Pokemon and looking to finish them off.

"Locke! Let's eat!" The deadly order precured an Aradios bursting from a Pokeball, hissing as she weaved a Spider Web protectively around her master...or perhaps to capture her prey.

There is a great crack as the two attacks collide, one of the horse's hooves manage to slip through and snap against the Krookidile's jaws. Kaida didn't even need to look long to know it was broken.

A sharp whistle shot from her lips, and Kaida started to run. At this rate, it was going to end in permanent injury to the Krookidile. The Precipice Blades had made for difficult terrain, and she was sure there was another combatant who could finish the battle here.

"I...I have a problem here, assistance needed." She spoke into the comms, hoping to alert any League fighter to the situation.

Munin shoved the horse away as they clashed, already feeling her wound start to swell. This jig was up. With a snarl of no doubt terrible words, she stomped again, rumbling even the dirt as Kaida reached the gator. The Earthquake churned the earth, allowing the Pokemon and Kaida to disappear into it for a quick escape.

With her jaws broken, Kaida reluctantly decided that Munin would no longer battle today. She only hoped someone heard her message.

As the horse vanished once again, Munin paused, and sank onto all fours. Ghosts were a deadly stranger to most kinds, but not her. Dark-types sank their teeth into the mysteries of ghost and psychic types. While most would have no clue where the enemy went, she sought for clues. Her eyes seemed to shrink like binoculars, and she could feel every movement in the earth. Quiet as a statue, she waited for emergence.

"No, I am not very bold at all." Kaida mumbled, suddenly leaving her stance as she lurched forward and...flung the shard? The stony projectile shattered at Lex's feet, a total miss that sounded like a bullet as it hit the floor.

And then Munin leapt for her prey. The horse could not stay put forever, and wherever it emerged, she sprang for, twisting to swing her tail. Her stripes crackled with dark energy, deathly physical to even ghosts. Power Trip, boosted by Anger Point, by Bulk Up, sought to fling the horse right for the sound Kaida created, right where the enemy was.

The wave of Bulldoze ripples across the ground, ripping across the copies until one stays, breathing out a fog of breath. She was closer to the horse, and only got closer, veins popping with another Bulk Up. Closer, closer still. She roared, challenging the horse to show what made strength real with audacious fever.

Kaida stalked closer, unwilling to lose sight of Alex or the battle. Her hand hurt, but she refused to let go of her makeshift weapon. As long as Muni knew where she was, she could reckless in her own way.
