""No casualties", tch!" Kaida grumbled under her breath as the group set out once more, the nagging feeling that reporting had been a significant waste of time weighing on the back of her mind. She had only managed to save some Pokemon they had found, the other's had undoubtedly passed...and now they set out once more to prevent more such casualties.

She grunted in recognition of the cuts scattered around as well, but her attention was better served somewhere else, somewhere familiar. A frantic mission to save the region, followed by the terrible Three Day War, "This poison...it isn't a Pokemon's, I know. Watch out for Beasts. If you encounter one, do not hesitate. They are powerful." She didn't dare imagine what might happen if they encountered one even more powerful through training.

"What even happened?" She hissed under her breath, still not entirely clear what had caused the rampage, even if she was certain of the perpetrator.

TLDR: Kaida is a part of the Ranger's group, and begins grumbling about how there were casualties, despite being told none happened. She notices the posion, and mentions the subject of the Poison Patrol, warning the other's to beware. She questions what even caused all this.

This place have been an oasis the thedesert of life, but enough of being poetic! Everyone here is a great group of friends that I'm lucky to have, and I wanna thank SHIV and Spiral in particular! You guys made a great and engaging site, and I only hope we continue onwards with whatever you make!

There's...there's always a way out. Holes to slither through. Cracks to blast through. Drafts that you can sniff, can sense that, there is a way out. You just have...wait, you were thinking only of your Pokemon...there's nothing more to do then, except search with weak human hands, and howl like an animal. Perhaps you will be heard.

There's a difference between tears and crying, you think. You certainly shed tears on occassion, when your flesh tore, and bones broke...but you have never cried. Not when civilians (and battle partners) died, not when Orion was hurt, not when you died...it all lies in your stomach, desperately melting away, before it can overflow. You have not cried.

Answer IC - What would you be if you could be different?: Much would be different if you had a choice. You certainly wouldn't be yourself anymore. More pure, more powerful, you wouldn't need confusing speech to make yourself known. If there was one sticking point, you aren't certain you'd have your partners. Lars, Illeana, the Rangers...it likely wouldn't matter to them. [break][break]
Answer IC - Tempus Fugit: Time, and then something? Words always flew through your head, but this one is particularly bad. If only you had more time to understand...anything...

Kaida released a breath she didn't realize she was holding, lips breaking into a soft smile, though her teeth remained hidden, it was the largest smile she would manage. "Thank you, Rangers, let us go, we need to hurry." Perhaps if they made quickly, it was possible they could resolve the problem at base, and then head out after the potential Ultra Beast.

As the Rangers returned, she took out a device and started typing on it. It was only fair that she make the report, given she was the one who lead this decision...

Rangers reported to the scene of the accident, potential crime scene. It was noticed that the scene did not match an accident, having footsteps. The escaped Pokemon were from the former Champion, Bailey, and the present Rangers made to follow the escaped Pokemon as it was potentially dangerous.

The Rangers came across injured and dead Pokemon, and worked to save what Pokemon could be saved. The site of damage featured signs of a battle, and the two battlers spit up, one heading to Mt Pyre and one heading to Route 120. The Rangers decided to choose pursuit of the Route 120 escapee, as it is possible that it was an Ultra Beast. Due to circumstances, return to the Ranger base was necessary before pursuit can continue.

It has been noted, there were human-like footprints at the scene, heading to Lilycove. There is the possibility of an interloper.

TLDR: Kaida thanks the others for following her lead, and brings up a device to make a report. Route 120 is chosen, but it seems there's danger afoot in the Ranger Base, though she emphasizes the severe danger in the route they need to investigate.

As the other's spoke, Kaida's vision expanded outwards, noticing everything else they pointed out. It was true that another Pokemon was clearly involved in the situation, but she shook her head nonetheless, "Perhaps our Mt Pyre friend was the one fighting our escapee...I don't like how they split up, can't catch both of them now..." Judging by the injuries on the Pokemon they found, a dinosaurian, huge Pokemon didn't seem like their culprit...or at least not their most dangerous target...her certainty only increased when Boruta brought up the Ultra Beasts.

"I fought them...many of them, but I heard they were weakened in our world." Swallowing, she indicated to the recuperating Pokemon, "It was like this, poisoned and killed Pokemon everywhere...just one is bad news for all Pokemon in the area." Their culprit was hyperagressive, poisonous, and if they were right, an Ultra Beast. It had to be stopped.

Elaine's note got Kaida to narrow her eyes, "Of course, an explosion was set off, but our target haven't shown any similar attacks...perhaps their the one who freed it." She didn't show as much interest in the discovery as one would expect, however, starting to write a report as she spoke, "We need to report that, so others can catch them...we protect Pokemon, and our attacker is still free." We deal with Pokemon problems, not people problems, wasn't that right, Laurence Anderson? Her leader's orders obeyed, Kaida looked towards Route 120, nodding, "I want to hunt our poisonous attacker, but I won't leave any of you alone. What say you?" Even if they didn't find an attacker, sucuring the forest was a help, and the woman would support the group's decision.

TLDR: Kaida looks over the scene and verbalizes that the Pokemon escaping to Mt Pyre may have been the one fighting the escapee, and at least doesn't seem like their most dangerous target. She tells of her involvement in the 3-day War, and tells that the Rangers deal with Pokemon problems, not human problems, and if there is a third party, to put it in the report. Votes for Route 120!

Kaida's earpiece crackles, and the woman tilted her head, shooting a breath through her teeth. "We need to go back. Some kind of situation." She speaks loud enough for everyone to hear, "Finish your first-aid before we go, we can't let anyone else be killed by this."

Her eyes don't look for any other options, glaring after the obvious cuts and poisonous sludge cutting through the trees, "Seems the attacker went that way." She hisses, "Its going towards Route 120." Another populated zone, and one possibly occupied by trainers looking for Pokemon to catch, a very bad situation, if there was any. "We can't let it harm any more Pokemon." She demanded attention as she finished her own assistance or the injured Pokemon, standing and calling her Yamega and Snubble back, "They don't know what we know yet. We have to report that the Pokemon of an old Champion escaped, and it is aggressive to the point of attacking everything around it, regardless of threat."

Her Pokemon never relaxed, keeping a watchful eye out to allow the Rangers time to think.

TLDR: Kaida receives a call from base and informs the others. She notes the destruction going towards Route 120 and hypothesized that the destructive Pokemon went that way. She says she is going to report that the previous Champion's Pokemon escaped and seems to be attacking all around it.

Names? Kaida's eyes widened slightly, suddenly aware that she didn't know any of their names, nor the other way around. Should they enter a dangerous situation, they would need ways to identify each other, "Oh. I forgot...I'm Kaida Adachi. It is good to meet you all." She didn't speak of her experience, feeling it was uneeded...besides, there had been more than enough incidents she'd been a part of that she was at least aware that the way she carried herself was one with confidence.

Abruptly, she raised her arm to her Pokemon, continuing the introduction with a...smile? "And this is Ormr, Garmr, and Svart...they are all my pack. As long as you are with us, I will protect all of you." A bold promise, but one she spoke with confidence. "Now let us go...I don't think this is good." She'd soon find that was the mother of all understatements.

It was worse than Kaida could have imagined. She would have thought a normal Pokemon would have found a place to hide, or sought out other humans...at its most destructive, it should have challenged any Pokemon that got in its way. This was no normal Pokemon. Her Ekans drew back in shock at the sight before them, tail rattling in instinctive fear. Boldly, her Yamega zipped forward, insectoid eyes roving over the carnage, watching for any movement before screeching Kaida over to several moving Pokemon.

The dead were dead. They had to focus upon the living.

Kaida's face, which had turned white briefly at the sight, tried to twist itself into normalcy, but found itself grimacing and twitching, just avoiding grief. "Help the living! You, er, Boruta, have your partner found anything else?" Something this destructive would be visible from the skies, surely, especially if this was the evidence of a fight that it looked like. While her Yamega was handling the general area and defense of the injured, she was ready to trust boruta maher 's Fearow to scouting. Elaine Highland's question got a shake of her head, "I don't know. The most we know is that it can't fly...hopefully..." She could only imagine how far this beast would have gotten if it could, but for all they knew, it was choosing this route on purpose.

The Electrike under her hand cried out in pain, internal injuries shifting under the slightest touch...it's leg hung on from the cleanest cut Kaida had ever seen. "Tch. Come here, my friend." She whispered, taking out a Pokeball and capturing the electric pup, it was dead unless she got it medical intervention, that much was clear. She only hoped that wasn't the case for the others, she sucked in a breath as she reached into her pack for bandages, her Snubble guiding her over to a Zigzagoon that attempted to limp away. She was no healer, so first aid would have to do.

TLDR: Kaida introduces her team before heading into the forest. She notes the damage and tries to help any live Pokemon. She tries to order others around her to help anything alive. She captures an Electrike.

"You said Bailey? I heard of her." Kaida perked her ears up, hearing Elaine's muttering. Really, it would be strange to have not heard of her, but with Kaida, it was a special case. The woman barely paid attention to anything outside of her sight, but said Champion had been big, big enough for even Kaida to have heard of her power, following her death.

As Pace and Boruta's own investigations started to reveal the culprit of the escape was certainly the Champion's Pokemon, Kaida abruptly shifted gears, "We need to go." She hastily whistled and beckoned her Pokemon, cutting them off from investigating the cause, "I heard of her Pokemon, they're strong, dangerous too." She hoped the forest Pokemon knew to stay out of its way, "Even if it didn't escape on its own, I wouldn't trust its emotional state." Elaine had to be right about the Pokemon being upset, and a powerful, trainer taught Pokemon being released in grief in the wild? Kaida didn't want to leave it to its own devices...it could destroy ecosystems that were only now starting to recover, should it rampage.

"I'd like to get them in a safe place fast. Just in case." A normal Pokemon would likely wander, but be fine eventually, maybe even find its own way home...after her encounters, Kaida didn't trust in the idea of a "normal" Pokemon just happening to be involved. "Let's follow the escaped one, it cannot be far."

TLDR: Kaida takes in the information, and concludes its a Champion's Pokemon. Remembering how powerful they supposedly were, and agreeing with the fact that it might be emotional, Kaida urges the others into the forest after it.
