When she recalls her Stakataka, she does so moments before slipping into a SHADOW FORCE portal, conjured merely through a concentrated stare at the space between them. She steps into the shadowy rift, allowing it to seal immediately after she leaves.

The fired boulders collide with a barrier of PROTECT issued by the Ultra Beast. It acts on its own accord, not requiring a command in the slightest. This was its job, after all. It was a Pokemon built and best equipped for defence, not offence. Much like Wlash, Katherine reluctantly accepted that victory was beyond reach.

"Exchanging advice now, are we? Mm, I suppose it's only fair if I return the favour..."

"You should seriously consider tightening the leash on your people," how vague and ultimately unhelpful, "more plan to leave you. More plan are trying to emulate me." Of course, it's about her.

Then, a familiar glimmer of a GRISEOUS SHARD catches her eye. Katherine recognizes it, indignation already burning within. Avarice coils around her heart, sinking its fangs into her. And just like that, Logic is thrown to the winds. Giratina threatens to free itself from its vassal-- until Walsh speaks again.

She's in disbelief at the sound of his words, and her mouth opens slightly when the shard is tossed to her free of charge. "I'll sleep on it," is all she says at the mention of his invite, opting to keep her answer to herself.

It survives, barely-- if only because both parties are forced to retreat by the rapidly approaching swarm of Nihilegos. The Gengar is eyed with suspicion. Katherine silently questions where it was summoned to target Giratina...

Until Zev disappears. Why? Where did they plan to attack her from? They couldn't flee-- he wouldn't. The Nihilego-- and then it dawns upon her. Realization sets in when her scarlet eyes meet one of the closer Nihilego.

They weren't here with Rocket.

Recalling her Stakataka, Katherine is whisked away by a SHADOW FORCE to her god's back, mounting him before the two of them fly off. A final deafening roar rattles the area before they're gone.

Of course he's alive, Katherine complains silently, cursing both Darkrai and the man he chose for its avatar. Knowing how difficult Declan Walsh was to kill only served to further demotivate the Malevolent from committing more tools and Pokemon into this battle.

It would be an agonizing battle to have and an even harder one to win. By the end, she'd likely regret participating in it, even if he were to die.

"Mm. Maybe," Katherine agrees with his assessment, mimicking the movement of his hand to free a Pokemon from a capsule in turn. Stakataka cubes fall into place around her, forming a fortress to protect her from the SLUDGE WAVE.

"But it doesn't matter. When I've gathered all I need, there won't be a single universe where I'm out of place. You and the rest of your pawns will bear the same insignificance as you always have," neither a threat nor a warning, it's a promise. A prophecy.

The cubes form a small flight of stairs for her to climb, leading her to a position at the Stakataka's core whilst its MAGNET RISE is executed. They rise into the air, clearly still undisturbed by the poisonous sludge.

"You've set your eyes on something as small as Hoenn, Walsh. I've set mine on something much bigger."

Her safety was assured, but she wasn't confident she could help boruta maher if things happened to go south.

"..It's just best we don't. Besides, we have plenty of other things worth tackling right now," namely, Rocket. "Good idea. I'll also warn whoever I run into." It's the right thing to do, which Katherine doesn't care about, but it could help them achieve victory-- which she does care about.

"Be safe, alright?" are the words she leaves him with before tapping on her Nihilego's head, instructing it to fly off.

As soon as she realizes that the coast is clear and BARNABY FINCH was indeed gone, then, and only then, does Katherine allow herself to split from the Ultra Beast, coughing out some of the liquid she had almost swallowed while inside it.

It hurts. Every time she does this, it hurts. She is only comforted by the fact the admin didn't get to see her experience this pain.

Although Katherine's scarlet gaze maintains its focus on the shadow-obscured Gliscor, words continue to spill past her lips, her voice soft and joyous. "It really isn't fair that you didn't get to see me during the attack on Sootopolis. You missed out on all the fun!"

Blacephalon attempts to nimbly evade the NIGHT SLASH and succeeds in doing so - but only for the first of them. The second catches it, easily drawing blood. "Let's rectify that, mm?" Without warning, the jester's head grows in size. Each breath it takes causes it to grow further; each drop of blood drawn fuels it with more power.

When it throws its head, it becomes clear that this is no mere MIND BLOWN. The Z-Move version of the move is meant to punish the boss and its Pokemon, just as Katherine's powers are harnessed to pull the Gliscor towards its trainer-- where the bomb had been thrown to.

The Blacephalon, naturally, succumbs to its injuries during this exchange. Katherine recalls it then and there, watching the explosion illuminate the area through a half-lidded stare.

No sound is made when the EARTH POWER connects with the Ultra Beast/hot woman combo. No expression of pain washes over the Nihilego's face-- for it has none, to begin with. The only indication of pain, slight as it may be, comes when Katherine bites her lip, suppressing a hiss of pain.

The sight of the corrosive toxin coming into contact with the Steelix is enough to soothe the pain. It shouldn't take much longer now, Katherine. A mystical force surge through her before the Nihilego casts a HEX on the serpent, utilizing the poison to double the move's damage.

"Despite what you and other Rockets may think, my allegiance never wavered," her loyalty to Giratina was unmatched and could never be contested. The League and Team Rocket will forever be a means to an end.

The Malevolent is whisked away by a SHADOW FORCE when the earth begins to tremble, leaving the clown behind to endure it. Through the quakes and in spite of the treacherous terrain, the jester still manages to hurl its head towards the Gliscor. The MIND BLOWN explosion is guaranteed to follow.

No direct attempt on Declan's life is made, however. Katherine knows better than to mistake Darkrai's avatar for an easy picking.

The distraction the DAZZLING GLEAM provides is, in fact, only temporary. It succeeds in blinding the dragon and, in turn, earns its ire. A JAW LOCK secures the Ribombee in a tight hold before it is easily beheaded and discarded.

The fairy's frail body was not equipped to deal with such a threat, nor was the Pokemon trained to. Its body lands on the ground elsewhere, far from where Katherine can see in the mist-- but this is already a disaster. Her only ally here was down one Pokemon already. That couldn't bode well for them, could it?

Where the SCATTERBANGS may prove useless, Katherine hopes to slow the Iron Valiant with a STICKY GLOB.

"This is bad-- we can't even see them! Retreat! It's better we deal with each one alone!" She does just that, regardless of THEO BECKETT's response. The roaring moon trails after her, likely to a place outside of the interdream zone.

The Stakataka alone is not enough to handle whatever this Paradox Pokemon is, but thankfully, it isn't. THEO BECKETT's Duraludon provides the distraction and cover they need to land cheap hits. What the two of them aren't enough for, however, is the second Paradox Pokemon in the skies.

The Gallade-looking Pokemon is examined briefly, but a familiar roar steals Katherine's focus. Another one of those..?

"Fuck. There's another one up here! It's one of those weird-looking Salamences!" She recognized its roar. A second capsule is found, and from within it, a Ribombee emerges. "Find it and do something about it," she instructs the fae, prompting it to ascend in height and rise past the mist to find its opponent.

There, a simple DAZZLING GLEAM seeks to blind and distract the dragon while further blows are exchanged on the ground with Gallade.

All they need is time.
