June went over the details of the case in her head as she stood in front of the door to a house belonging to a resident of the cozy town of Verdanturf.

Lately, the town has been nightly terrorized, claw markings on buildings, doors, and entryways covered in ice and snow, and all done by mystery forces.

Of course, the townspeople had their own sort of ideas as to what might be the cause of this. Some believed it to be evil spirits; others figure it was the result of some Pokémon while others believed it’s just some punks up to no good.

All plausible theories but they were here to get to the bottom of it. She wanted to start at the first place attacked to compare the damages there to this building. Claw markings on the walls and door, which she could only barely see through the sheets of ice and snow covering it.

Sure did look like the handiwork of someone or thing that's upset.

”Don’t praise him too much it’ll go straight to his head.” June laughed, knowing full well that the Boltund had no shred of modesty.

Whatever lighthearted mood had been established was quickly distorted when Fernando’s beast attacked the Natu with a disturbing lack of control.

”That was a bit brutal, don’t you think?” There were Pokémon nearby but she had no interest them in outside of some concern as to whether or not this Null thing was going to beat them senseless too.

”You sure you got a good handle on that thing?”

June pulled her hand back, wondering to herself what was this lady’s problem, as the mud drenched woman then started to go on a tirade about the Mareep.

At this point June was only half paying attention to her raving, after being slighted by the woman’s refusal to take her help and then snarling at her, June felt a bit justified in her indifference.

The other reason was to focus on her Pokémon, both of which were chasing the Mareep, the Pokémon going around in one big arc back towards the two women.

”Beast? Put down? Well that’s going a bit overboard, isn’t it? It’s just a coat.” June pulled out a pair of insulated gloves, putting them on and then grabbing the sheep as it got close.

”Gotcha!” She held the Mareep out and away from her body as it wasn’t protected like her hands. In the event the little bastard wanted to shock her she had some type of protection.

”Look at this cutie! I’m sure it didn’t mean any harm. Isn’t that right?” She'd hug the Mareep if it wasn't for the aforementioned chance of getting shocked.

June followed behind her Growlithe and Herdier, the two Pokémon coming to a stop to witness a woman’s struggle with a Mareep.

By the time they had appeared seconds later the woman ended up taking a dip into some muddy water, the whole ordeal making June snicker a bit as she had no doubt the Mareep did that on purpose.

It was no surprise that it was urgent they got these sheep back home given how mischievous they can be.

An entire flock of these would probably terrorize the city. This was just munching on clothes, June could only imagine the sorts of problems that could happen if they started to get into electrical shenanigans.

"You two keep an eye on that Mareep." She decided to help the lady out but didn't want to lose track of the Mareep and have to chase it down again. Both of her hounds nodded and focused on the Mareep, ready to chance it down if it came to that.


”Hey do you need a hand?” June would call out, offering a hand to help her up if need be.

”You okay?”

The other one her Urshifu was fighting still stood but with the other one out of the way all her Pokémon can focus on the one and finish this rather quickly.

”My end is fine but we’re going to have to have a talk about that stunt you just pulled!” June quickly replied before ordering her Pokémon to attack. A combination of blows from Urshifu, Inteleon, Mr. Mime, and Dragapult overwhelmed the Ultra Beast and the battling was over.

A wave of relief swept over the young woman as her Pokémon gathered around her.

”You all did great.” No serious injuries or anything, this was a job well done.

”As for you!” She roared, turning to Noah with half a mind to choke him out.

”Don’t you ever pull a stunt like that again, you hear me?! That was way too reckless!” June was still annoyed with him but nonetheless she appreciated him.

”Thanks though.” She then folded her arms and looked at the scene around them.

”Alright then! Let’s take care of this mess and then get out of here. Think we both deserve a nice relaxing break after this one.”
