June immediately began scrambling for the controls, the boat engine was still humming so there was no worry about trying to figure out how to make it but start but there was another problem.

June Fair had absolutely no idea how to operate a speed boat but on god she was going to figure it out. It didn’t take a genius to notice the steering wheel and some sort of lever which June assumed to be the throttle.

”Alright, hang on!” Once everyone was onboard, people and Pokémon alike, and secured June pushed up on the throttle as much as she could to make the boat book it to the town.

Despite their inexperienced driver, the ride went surprisingly smooth with no hiccups outside of the dark aura that race across the sky.

June looked back to the group and was about to ask if everyone was alright but it didn’t seem to have any effect on anyone or the boat so June put it to the side for now.

Just as June didn’t really know how to take off she also did not really know how to make a smooth stop so much like their takeoff their arrival was rocky.

Instead of a slow crawl towards the beach and coming to a nice stop just as the waters were getting shallow and despite June’s best effort to slow the boat down it came right upland throwing sand everywhere as it was used to slow the boat down.

It was rough but not serious enough to cause any injuries outside of making someone nauseous and a bit shook up. The town was in a horrid state, Megalopolans everywhere and that was just outside.

There was no telling how many were hiding indoors, she might not have even thought about that at first if she didn’t see a few peeking out from the windows.

”Everyone alright?” June hopped out of the boat and onto land, quickly followed by her Pokémon. The first order of business needed to be clearing out those houses, advancing any further could result in getting shot in the back.

”We need to get into those houses, there might be hostages in there. Let's split into pairs, a group to go into the building while the other two keep the forces outside preoccupied. I'll take charge of the first building.” She pointed to some of the Megalopolans that gathered about around and inside the building which she could see from the windows.

”Fisher, take out anyone near or in the houses if you got a clear shot. Mime, give us some protection. Ghost and Urshifu start clearing a path.” Her Pokémon nodded once the orders were given out, moving beyond the boat and deeper into the town.

Inteleon used SNIPE SHOT on Megalopolans within sight around on in the house while her Mr. Mime used WIDE GUARD to protect the groups approach.

DRAGON DARTS was fired from her Dragapult while anyone who got close enough was met with SURGING STRIKES from her Urshifu. Things would be carried out as normal but the earth shaking and the sight of a giant monster stopped June in her tracks.

”What the fucking hell is that?” Why was the structure they were here to destroy now walking towards them? That thing would completely level this town, they needed to hurry.

”Hmm?” June looked up from the Mareep and to the source of a voice that had called out to them.

The sheep didn’t seem bothered by the new appearance, it was probably too distracted by the treats to notice.

”Oh great you’re here! My name’s June and this Boltund here is Touma. Nice to meet you” June walked over to Aurum, spotting the little ghost type hiding behind Aurum’s legs.

”A bit shy, huh? Don’t worry we don’t bite.” She’d give the little ghost Pokémon a wave.

”Have much experience herding Mareep?” A question she felt she already knew the answer to given the likelihood of it being no.

”There’s no need to worry about it though if you haven’t. Touma and I have plenty of experience in this sort of thing! He was practically bred for this.” She’d do one last check on the Mareep to make sure it was safe and secured before motioning that Aurum should follow her.

”Let’s get started.”

A job like this would normally not pique June’s interest as it reminded her too much of the type of shenanigans she’d have to deal with at home.

No her days of helping a farm and its sheep wrangling were over……or at least that’s what she thought until she for whatever reason ended up taking this job and went to Oldale.

The storm did quite a number on the farmer’s land, completely annihilating the pin that was holding all of their sheep Pokémon and doing a good amount of damage on the barn too.

With all that destruction and chaos it wasn’t a surprise that they all either ran away in fear or got swept away by the storm. While June and her Boltund were inspecting the grounds they actually managed to find their first Mareep, which was scared out of its poor little mind.

”Don’t worry little guy, we’ve got you.” Coaxing the creature with a treat, June managed to lead the Pokémon back to the farm where she was playing with it to make sure the Pokémon was calm and await whoever else was on this job.

The faint pressure on her shoulder had June quickly, only for a second, glance at Noah’s hand and then to him.

Her mind had been so preoccupied with the planning that she really hadn’t put too much thought into what it was they were doing and how dangerous it was.

Definitely nerve-racking, but she’d be lying if a part of her wasn’t excited.

”Yeah, you too! No crazy stunts! Don’t worry though, we’ve got this.” She’d give him a bright smile before hopping onto her dragon.

”Alright Ghost, Phantom Force here.” She’d show the dragon the tablet and their targets on the screen before putting it away.

The dragon then opened a portal and the two flew into it. While Noah was making his move the duo of June and her dragon would reappear via a portal that opened up near the two Megalopolans that were separated from the rest of the group.

June’s Dragapult bulldozed through the group, coming to a stop and turn afterward.

The entire sequence was definitely disorientating but for this next part, she didn’t really need to be that accurate.

”Aqua Jet!” She’d released two Pokémon, her Inteleon and Urshifu, who both once out of their capsules struck the Megalopolans with aqua jets.

Despite the distance between June and her group in comparison to Noah, she could still feel the heat that was a result of Turtonator’s attack which gave June some relief. He was doing fine.

Things on her end were going good and she was about to wrap up her work here before Kyle then came running.

”W-Wait! Why?!” As soon as she spoke she knew that she wasn’t going to get any questions and given Kyle’s apparent rush to get out of her June figured it was best to follow his lead and join him in making their way out of the hideout.

She had absolutely no idea what the man had been up to this entire time but the way he said they all needed to get out had her beginning to assume the worst.

Not even the remaining pirates really bothered to put up much of a fight.

With the way, the two intruders were rushing out of the place and the smoke they decided that living and escape were much more important. Once outside June had already begun calling this in to get back up with moving the captured pirates.

”So what was that all about? And what was in the bag anyway?”

”Depressing?” She looked around, folding her arms as she mulled it over.

”I guess?” Her rather wishy-washy reply was partly influenced by the sudden notice of an Alolan Marowak.

”The wild Pokémon roaming around and attacking kind of take me out of it though.” She shrugged, releasing her Inteleon.

The Pokémon was then ordered to use SNIPE SHOT on the ghost Pokémon to damage it enough so that June could toss a capsule for capture.

June’s Mr. Mime, in response to the attacks coming from the speedboats, erected a barrier via WIDE GUARD to help protect the group from any attacks alongside Noelle Lane ’s Blastoise Protect and @iris ’s Light Screen.

Her Inteleon fired off SNIPE SHOTS from a distance away from the group of soldiers that were coming ashore, staying close to the barriers that were created.

June turned to Noah as he called out to her, eyes then following to where he was pointing and she then smiled.

”On it!” They had already done some damage to the troops that came ashore and with Noelle’s combination attack there’d be enough cover for June, on the back of her Dragapult, to fly over to one of the boats.

On her way over there any Megalopolans that managed to escape all the previous attacks would be met by Dragapult’s DRAGON DARTS and Urshifu’s SURGING STRIKES.

She’d go to land on one of the boats and make sure it was in working condition.

"Let's make this quick and check the boat, make sure there are no surprises." June would check the helm while her two Pokemon surveyed the rest of the boat before June turned to her group.

”Let’s get the hell out of here!”

All their effort amounted to was delaying the inevitable realization that they were completely outmatched by this monster. It showed it how easy it was for it to shake off their attacks and proceed to launch its own assault, sending multiple Pokémon flying.

A terrifying demonstration in how much of a gap there was in strength…..and it cost them a life.

She was racked with such an intense feeling of guilt and anger that her immediate thought was to retaliate with more pointless and fruitless attempts at dealing damage but luckily she calmed herself before doing something so irresponsibly rash.

Instead, she turned her focus to her allies, her gaze lingering on Noah for a moment longer than the others to gauge how he was responding. Whatever June could be feeling would be worse for him especially. But there was no time to dwell on it, they had to move.

June would hop back onto her Dragapult, releasing her Urshifu in the process to help assist the now healed Inteleon regroup and keep up.

She’d keep an eye on her water-type, as while Noelle’s Blissey did heal it the Pokémon took quite the blow and if it showed signs of slowing down she would return it.

Any straggling Megalopolans along their path would be met with June’s Dragapult’s DRAGON DARTS. And any that managed to survive behind that would be deal with Urshifu’s SURGING STRIKES. Meanwhile, June’s Mr. Mime was on standby to use PROTECT should the situation require it.

”What the hell is that?!” June stopped in her tracks shortly after Iris, trying to wrap her head around what kind of horror nightmare monster was coming straight for them.

The purple dragons, floating squid things, and giant mouth monsters were apparently not enough for these cannibal psychos but they needed a muscle-bound mosquito man too? She was more than happy to send these things back to whatever hell hole they came from.


”Psychic! Hold that thing in place!” At the behest of his trainer, June’s Mr. Mime would use it's PSYCHIC telekinetic abilities to place a sudden and large amount of pressure on the Ultra Beast in an attempt to hold it in place and make it hard to move.

”Keep your distance from that thing! Dragon Darts! Snipe Shot!” Her dragon flew overhead, passing by the Buzzwole and firing off its Dragon Pulse attack while her Inteleon used SNIPE SHOT.

Her focus was too much on the crazy bug alien to give bother to the new arrivals that appeared outside of being glad they were assisting in dealing with the alien.
