For a brief moment June took her eyes off of the equipment and towards Noah, a brow raised at his comment about watching a video of people being eaten.

She shook her head, a small smile on her face from finding the fact that he suggested that humorous given how out of character it’d be for him to suggest someone watch that and at how quick he was to take it back.

His words painted a map of the Megalopolan camp in her mind, and just in time for her to be ready to take this drone for a spin.

”I’ll take the campsite but hold on a second I want to check something out.” And with a press of a button on a tablet she was holding and the drone took flight. She was amazed at out quite the thing was technology at its finest she supposed. The machine took off into the air, June watching the screen in her hands to see what the drone could see.

”There’s our man-eating aliens alright.” And they were at exactly where Noah had said they were but something was off. A little bit a way off from the camp there was another group of Megalopolans approaching the camp. If it wasn’t for the night vision on the drone it was possible they might’ve completely missed this group.

”Situation has gotten more complicated.” June would hand over the tablet to Noah to show him the incoming group as she then took out some capsules from her belt.

”I think one of us should take care of this group right here while the other takes care of the approaching group. I’ve got a plan for the extra party so if you can make a lot of noise and hit them with a bang I think we could pull this off, can even borrow some of my team if you’d like.” She released one Pokémon, her Dragapult, and readied the dragon for her plan.

”Ghost and I will launch a surprise attack on the incoming group and take them down fast and hard. An attack on both sides, how’s that sound?”

Now this Pokémon was much more June’s speed and it looked like the Pokémon was itching for a fight too so she decided to oblige it. June released her Lycanroc to fight, allowing the Sneasel to make the first move.

Damn little thing was much faster than she or Blue expected, the wolf barely dodging the Sneasel’s metal claw.

But these Pokémon were the truest definition of a glass cannon and after one Drill Run attack by Blue the battle was over and June went for the capture.

Capture Attempt

Prior to the League having mobilized their troops onto the beaches of Lilycove to fend off the ensuing hordes of the Megalopolan forces June had managed to meet up with some familiar faces, forming a small unit of their own once they headed out.

Once on the beach June’s Mr. Mime popped a WIDE GUARD to protect the group from the wide ranged attacks.

And with the chaos ensuing the battling going on would be enough cover for them to put their plan into motion and make their way to the northern coast.

”Alright everyone remember the plan? Let’s get-“ Words interrupted by the sounds of a Naganadel’s cry as it and its rider came down to attack.

The rider was shot off by Inteleon’s SNIPE SHOT while the combination of Urshifu’s AQUA JET and Dragapult’s DRAGON PULSE dealt with the Naganadel. ”The hell out of here and moving.” She finished, hoping onto her Dragapult while returning her Inteleon and Urshifu.

”Could someone give Mime a lift and Noah can you give us a boost?” Once those things were situated she’d get moving along the northern path using the rocks and other land formations in the water as cover while also being in range to protect the north boat should it start moving.

- With a group consisting of herself, Noah, Noelle and Iris on the northern part of the beach

- Hopes onto Dragapult to fly threw the upper path, staying low and using rocks to cover their approach.

”Faint wailing?” June hadn’t heard anything like that out here so maybe this woman was haunted. Or she was nuts and June should keep her distance from her.

That aside June walked over to the now freshly captured Duosion and picked the capsule up from the ground.

”Maybe you are. I haven’t heard anything since I’ve been here.” Nothing more than the footsteps of her and her Pokémon. Speaking of hearing things the low growling of her Lycanroc grabbed her attention, making her turn towards the canine.

”Huh well would you look at that, didn’t expect to find one of these.” She was referring to a Sinistea that was bothering her Lycanroc.

”Blue take care of it.” There was a part of her that felt like the Lycanroc was going to attack regardless if she said anything given how annoyed it looked.

And once the floating teacup was down June would throw an empty capsule at it.

This Pokémon was cute but again it wasn’t one that June was all that interested in outside of appreciating its cuteness.

The Pokémon had waddled up to her due to its curiosity and was rewarded with a little treat and a pat on its head. She waved as the Pokémon then waddled away.

When asked about her Pokémon June gestured to the capsules that were on her belt.

”Yeah I brought some with me.” And what a relief it was that the job allowed them to bring their Pokémon. It was going to make things a lot easier for them to deal with.

She proceeded to take two capsules from her belt and release the two flying Pokémon from within, Noivern and Staraptor.

”I’ll have these two scout the island out for a water source.” She relayed to Orion as she then turned to her two Pokémon.

”Stick together and get back to us as soon as you can, okay?” The two Pokémon nodded before taking off.

Once her two Pokémon were on their way she took off another Pokéball and released yet another Pokémon, this time her Sirfetch’d.

”We’ll probably need some wood to start a fire or something.” This would be her reasoning for having the fighting type out.

This had also got her thinking about what they were going to be eating later as she flowed Orion and his Absol.

Orion Lykos

The sudden appearance of a blue light in the distance was enough reason to have June consider continuing with a bit of caution.

There wasn’t much telling if it was a Pokémon or just another passerby from this distance. So when it was eventually revealed to just be a passerby and their Ninetails June relaxed.

”The feeling’s mutual, I’m starting to think this place isn’t as popular as I was told.” She crossed her arms, tapping a finger against one of her arms. Their brief interaction would be interrupted when June noticed her Charmander acting odd.

Looking around it was easy to spot what was making the little lizard feel that way.

Two wild Pokémon were nearby and they were a welcome distraction.

”No I think I’m right where I need to be.” June quickly pulled out a Pokéball and released her Lycanroc, then ordering the wolf to take down the Duosion with a Drill Run.

When the Pokémon was down June would throw an empty Pokéball at it.

”First thing I’ve encountered all day. Have you had better luck?”

So far it was nothing but water, sand and rock in this cave with little anything else of interest.

The one thing that she did find that wasn’t the previous three mentioned or some mix of it was a wild Pokémon that unfortunately she did not have much interest in and seeing as it wasn’t bothering her she decided to leave it alone as well and keep moving.

Getting to the island went smoothly, the duo having used the cover of night to help hide their landing.

They landed a good distance away from the camp, hiding behind a rock formation while they got situated and planned their next move.

June tinkered with some equipment, a drone she planned on using to get footage of the camp from a safe distance.

”We’re seriously about to do this, huh? Fend off bloody man-eating aliens from some sort of hell dimension? Alright then.” Despite knowing it was all completely real the absurdity to it all was still hard to wrap her head around.

”What’s the play here, Noah?”

She adjusted her coat as she continued he trek deeper into Shoal Cave.

June had come here on a whim, having passed the entrance to the cave as she swam on the back of her Drednaw which was currently accompanying her through the cave.

She walked along the exterior of Mt. Pyre with her Charmander, the Pokémon acting as their light for the fog.

June had come here out of curiosity and being told that the hike up the mountain was a fun and difficult challenge but was so far finding it rather lackluster.

But even with that being a bit of a bummer there was always the possibility of finding some interesting Pokémon and or a trainer to battle as she heard those were pretty common too.

But so far this was just boring.
