He had a limited amount of time to find what he needed to.

He still owed Dross a wailbaby and he likened to keep one for himself.

More dratini were worth the catch and of course all shinies were fair game.

He walked the shoreline carefully. His eyes alert and 'Baby' at his side again.

With a buggy opponent it seemed the luck of the battle was swinging his way.

He kissed the pokeball for good luck.

It wasn't normal behavior for him but this a pokémon he trusted to win at all costs.

One he didn't want to lose faith in.

He appeared in the battle and Sénon wasted no time, nor do his opponent.

It was really Sénon's bad for forgetting how fast and determined Riolu could be.
Debate-ably, Jūken was his most disciplined fighter. ()

Seviper had guts and she tried hard but she lacked a Riolu/Lucario's battle awareness.

She never saw the kick coming.

One minute she's trying to keep her team together, the next minute she's flying and confused on how it happened.

Seviper is confused!

She wasn't knocked out but she couldn't fight while being shot through the air either. With any luck, the paralysis wasn't done ravaging their nerves just yet.

Take a power and then double it.

Then double it again every time you use it consecutively.

By the third time you used it, it would be sixteen times its normal power.

That was kind of force Scolipede was rolling with now, augmented even further by its natural ability to gain speed the longer a battle went on.

It was nearing the height of its speed potential and damage output and that was just as well given the mega evolution at play.

Sénon had seen it in action plenty of times but never had to battle against it until now. It seemed that power was more common than he thought.

He scratched his wrist, subconious thinking of his small collection of unused megastones.

Scolipede was gone from the rubble of the unfezant's landing crash before the smoke cleared barrelling down the mini mt. chimney.

With the last trainer raising the stakes with a Mega-stage they needed ROLLOUT, to holdout!

Scolipede used 3rd ROLLOUT!

When Seviper had the chance to turn the battle to her side she wasted no time.

She had been traded away once before.

For a cold-blooded thing she didn't like being sent away with a new human.

She didn't understand what she had done to get her human back, but she wasn't going to make any mistakes.

Seviper used BELCH!

Quickly she blasted the Riolu with the putrid stench of her belch accompanied by a small misting of her stomach bile, which smelled worse actually.

Not stopping there with the other pokémon still trying to get back to their feet she slithered over to her Crobat 'friend' to use the same BELCH attack, which was the strongest she had, even if the crobat had a resistance.

Seviper used BELCH!

A bit of messy coordination send the coal and the bird into a collision. Sénon and Doug were literally running circles around their opponents.

Every second they wasted the battle fell further from their hands. It would have been prudent for the guys on the other side to try to go back to fire on bug and flying on fighting tactics.

They didn't which freed up Scolipede to keep ripping about battlefield, what damage HURRICANE did also only proved to push along that bugged-out speed.

Rolling through the hurricane's eye Scolipede collided with the unfezant again; crashing it into the battle floor.

The power of its rocky ROLLOUT now roughly eight times the standard, and its speed growing rapidly.

The sun didn't seem to wane on the day that didn't seem to end.

Noon was hours ago but that yellow ball of gas in the sky just wouldn't let up.

He said he was going to battle until 'the sun burned out'.

Battling until moonlight was a less extreme adjustment.

His current opponent hadn't given him much room to get ahead; a double battle that was halfway over.
Numel had been knocked out. ()

But one remained.

Another underwater match?

How could he say no.

This was a new format on top of that. Rather than two pokemon versus two pokemon each with their own trainer it was going to be three pokemon versus three with only two trainers in the battle.

'a Submerged Triple' he heard one of the staff say as they handed him his diving gear and air tank.

He didn't know who he was matched against as he swam into the battle area.

He just know he was here for a good time.

It put him at ease to hear her words of affirmation.

It was one of his love languages after all.

Although he couldn't shake the thought that she was disappointed in him somewhere deep down. There was a work ethic to the both of them that seemed to be in the spirit of the working class; humble beginnings.

Sénon's beginnings were humble still.

His family lived on the wages of his working parents. Being 'rich' was something that sat in the background of his mind and was much less 'rich' twenty-something years ago.

It only ever came up when it was relevant and when it was in discussion with someone trustworthy.

In actuality the only times he lived it up like a rich kid was when he celebrated his birthdays with his uncle.

Having access to the money wasn't what he was worried about concerning Cait.

He narrowed his eyes at her. "Do you know what the Game Corner is?"

-it was how the family business fit in with Cait's...

The Coalossal doubled down on fire attacks on a bug.

Now Sénon knew how that felt.

Luckily all the preparations had been made and Scolipede was reaching hard to follow speeds.

Leaving the Coal attacker in the dust the rolling bug smashed into the unfezant while it was unsuspecting.

Sénon queue'd up for a new tactic. They were perfectly set up to dominate the battle if they just changed targets.

"Lets switch dance partners J.D." He was improving when he said J.D. but nicknames were organic like that.

The idea of a more serious battle between peers in the woods sounded like fun.

He couldn't imagine hanging out with Zac in the woods without someone breaking out the smores.

"I'm gonna hold you to that Ramsay."

If the best of Zac's pokémon had already been worn out during this tournament he wondered if the footage of these battles was going to be cut and edited for sale.

He could have liked to see who Zac gave his all to take down. Shaking his hand until they next met, he parted ways with the other redhead for now.

As the Seviper and Riolu closed in on each other having put their previous opponents into paralysis.

Seviper went for the cheaper tactic; paralyze everything and take her time wearing them down.

When the riolu was close enough the Seviper welled back on its belly showing the unsettling colors of its bands as this time its teeth flashed purple and dripped burning poisons.

Seviper used GLARE!

A submerged tag battle.

He'd never heard of such a thing but it sounded fun as hell.

He didn't know who his partner was. They roster didn't name them by, name, only by color.

Sénon and this guy (MATIAS SILPH) were on the yellow team in yellow scuba gear and the other guys were in white scuba gear on the white team.

Simple stuff.

But as one of the challenging trainers sent out a Ferligatr. Sénon looked to the other guy in yellow before making his own choice.
