The Riolu was mildly baffled that his COPYCAT had missed.

He barely had time to question it before a whiplash of winds began to whip and lash about his proximity.

He couldn't take much more damage given his type-disadvantage. He could have tried to dodge the HURRICANE coming his way but he knew to win he had to land his own attacks not just dodge the opponent.

In a bid to see who could take more damage the Riolu was hit with the flying-type attack and sent flying himself.

However he made his own move in perfect space to land the hit, though he had to take a hit to land his own.

With a maximum effort full jab he punched at the oricorio sending a shockwave too strong to be lost in the hurricane.

Jūken used FORCE PALM!

There was no getting out of this shit elegantly.

Crazily he grabbed a handful of nuts sitting on the bar and shoved them in his mouth to mask the scent of upchuck.

He chewed cashews or pistachios or whatever the hell they were.

Internally enraged at the savory salty taste ridding his tongue of the taste of vomit. The plastic-like texture of what he was forcibly eating was just a pleasant little 'bee sting' adding insult to injury.

Because Sénon Game fucking hated peanuts.

Swallowing them down to commit to his secret he ignored Adrian's drunken input. How long had he been drinking to be slurring like that?

Sénon had just threw up in his own mouth sure, but Sénon had an tummy from drinking 5 doubles at once not that long ago. He wasn't actually drunk yet.

In fact, he was just tipsy enough to adjust his lap to make room as Lulu made herself comfortable. "Yeah no why not." He wasn't going to back down from her.

Although, he did look at her with squinted eyes like she was hiding something.

Considering she was hanging off of him despite being back in Hoenn long enough to know Adrian Malcolm and apparently FERNANDO SILPH (given that sloppy tipsy wink she gave him that he totally just saw); she hadn't hacked or shot her way back into his life until just now.

"Just sit in my lap, and we can talk about the first thing that pops up."

He ordered apple juice with a straw and sipped away, looking through her eyes. Until the insult of 'coward' is thrown Lulu Flint's way.

Terawr was special. Sénon intended to make him a champion Hoenn would never forget.

But as he watched the tyrunt eat sand and stomp about the shallow waves he understood the tyke would need the steadiest of hands and discipline in excess.

When it came to battles the inclination he got was that she seemed to have it all together.

Yet... "What about you?" He put his arms behind his back at-the-wrist in poise. "Whose providing the 'strict hand' you need?"

If he wasn't given any further orders Jūken would fight with his own tactics.

Of course given he was well trained and additive to that he believed in his training; his tactics were Sénon's tactics.

He took the air slash and resisted the pain as it cut an X into his chest.

Curious about the ease of performance of such a technique he tried it himself on the bird. Bringing his arms into X over his chest he aimed for his opponent ripping his arms from their fixed position. As 'X' shaped blast of cutting force flying back at its original practitioner.

He was off to a good start finding a dratini right away.

He wasn't dumb kid from Cinnabar poking around the pools of Fuchsia City's Safari Zone with his busted-ass Old Rod.

Now he was dumb man from Cinnabar with two fancy titles, PKD in the bank and the love of a demi-goddess at his back.

At this point, he was the catch for any dratini.

When the little one surfaced and slid his way he crouched to his knees in the dry sands on the shore ripping a small chunk of meat into smaller tini-dratini sized bites. So that she didn't have to eat sand he let her eat the morsels from his hand.

She cried in what could only be joy from the taste and even seemed to smile at him and for a moment he felt good.

Like he was that dumb kid again.

Crimsen attempted to capture Dratini!

It made him second guess what he'd spent his time doing the day Zac Ramsay became an avatar.

To be able to induce healing unto others and to sow the life of flora at will. With those gifts he and Cait would have made a power couple in terms of their potential as humanitarians.

Where the hell was the god of stampeding Tauros to throw a blessing or two his way?

With a playful sternness to his voice he called short the reminder of how damned hot it was out here. "Now focus up Ranger. . ." Zac had built up such a reputation as a gym leader Sénon sometimes forgot he was a ranger too. That happened despite the fact that Ramsay's Biome Badges were all about nature and the habitats pokémon made home.

He couldn't think of a badge nor gym theme more fitting for a ranger.

"-the battles on." Of course he wasn't so battle crazy that he couldn't at least confirm the social invite. "Butyeahwe'll -we'llthrowafewbacktonight."

Bubblebeam did its job as effectively as it did whenever Sénon used it himself. It was actually one of his favorite water-type attacks growing up.

Haunter took damage but didn't falter sending a HEX at the compromised jellyfish.

INTELEON SWARM (SEASIDE SUMMER)

He hardly spent much time with his Lucario, Jūken being his longer trained and more familiar pokémon the Riolu was used 10 times for every time the Lucario was used once.

Still despite his own faltered training of the pokémon Lucario was quite the good sport and tonight sought to prove it.

Catching the aura of a gathering of Inteleon, Lucario joined the game seeking to impress her trainer and test her physicality.

At first the lizards were hesitant to let her join and a quick 1v1 allowed the unnamed Lucario to show her skills.

Before long she was a key player in a 3v3 pick up game.

Sénon watched carefully, enjoying her performance and their bonding time. Still, he kept an eye out for the Shiny one in the bunch. There always seemed to be at least one in these mass gatherings.

So anyway... this post and the idea of a dunking lucario was brought to you by POKEMON UNITE.

The heave came on so suddenly he doubted any of the bombed fatigued trainers in here noticed.

But now Adrian Malcolm was waving over Lulu Flint and he had a mouthful of stomach rejects sitting on his tongue.

He didn't have a choice really, there was only just enough alcohol in his blood to will him through it.

Silently, with subtlety, he mechanically swallowed back down the cold chunks that came up, with no outward indication of such.

...and immediately felt terrible. "Hngggggggghhhh."

He was shocked to see a vulpix actually.

They were rare in the wild even back in the old days of the Kanto 140's.

"Come here, little one." He kept the timber in his voice soft. When the mammal approached he offered it piece of meat from the pouch on his side; a aluminum-lined container with fresh (and sometimes freshly-cooked) meat chunks.

It wasn't exactly the best idea to carry around warm meat on your person in general, let alone in the pokémon wilds. Luckily, the ranger elite were a differently built lot. Their ability to commune and consider nature and pokémon made them just balanced enough to
get away with such precarious circumstances.

As the Vulpix lunged for the meat he snatched it away, straightening up his form as he hoisted up the meaty chunk the vulpix licked its mouth mimicking the humans poised formed. When he tossed the chunk the fire-type caught it without moving its four paws.

The alcohol hit him harder than he probably realized considering just a second or two later it was Adrian Malcolm 's conversational stimuli Sénon missed out on finally catching the likes of Lulu Flint across the way.

He didn't avert his eyes, despite his aloof behavior during their beach battle earlier today.

Taking the last five sips it took to finish his Rum Island Iced Tea he savored the splashing of sweets and bitters on his tongue.

He wasn't going to go talk to her, but he couldn't just ignore her either. He did find it strange she seemed to be so familiar with so many big names and heavy hitters of Hoenn.

How long had she been back around exactly?

He enjoyed the sight of her while she faced away from him, still hours later bewildered by the "new Lulu".

It was only in this moment studying her face and looking into the jaded color of her 'side-eye' that he realized he clearly had a type and it showed in the lineup of his paramours.

sagira mosse (green hair), Lulu Flint (green eyes, apparently), Sabine Calcifet (green eyes), and cait alfric (green hair and eyes!) hell @tallulah was his right hand rather than a paramour and even she fit the profile.

Was he really so predictable?

The thought of it seemed to make his stomach flip but as his mouth salivated with bitter aftertastes he remembered how many shots he'd taken less than twenty minutes ago.

He'd nearly flown in as fast as he could when he learned the Safari Zone had a surplus of Dratini for the new zone.

skyler dross had him on tap for a fletchling she had in exchange for one of those baby wailord.

Not to mention Inkay, Clobbopus and Wishiwashi were three interesting enough species to acquire for training.

If nothing else Wishiwashi given how numerously they spawned during mating seasons, would make for a good food source for all the Talonflame he was going to end up with. The one from Dross made four. He tried not to think of the one he'd lost to that thing.

As she closed in his pivot foot stayed planted but the other stepped back a bit.

He was more backing away from himself than her.

Here he was with a 'new game' in the works and the moment Lulu was within arms reach he could remember her scent. As much as he could have romanticized the memory of their brief time together...

It wasn't romance that kept him weary of her.

Cait made him feel like the world was at peace, she complimented his natural state. She was a lush and giving tree. Offering herself willingly to his fire; too full of life to be consumed by it.

Sabine made him feel like a predator. The way he saw it; she recognized the hunter in him and fancied herself his prey. Of course it was only because Sabine Calcifet herself was a predator with a love for dominance that she recognized him as someone worth being dominated by.

Lulu. She made him feel like he was under a signal-jammer, leaving him with nothing but impulses. If she had been on the League side of law her trouble-making ass might have locked him down before cait alfric had the chance.

But fate wove its threads as it saw fit and here they currently were, with Sénon having no intentions of changing the status quo.

Despite that, he was quite shook by her new look and the last thing he needed was to be getting back in the saddle with trouble. Which is exactly what Lulu was. Conventionally, she had been the conventional kind of trouble; bullets, explosions, fraud and alleged security breaches.

Now she seemed to be teeming with the more common kind of 'trouble' a woman came at a man with. A suggestive, warm, slippery kind of trouble.

She seemed so healthy and renewed; so unlike the her he'd briefly come to know. It made him feel shitty to even hypothesize that the 'Lulu he knew' was her natural state.

"Promotions, engagements, acquisitions." He wasn't really sure how to feel about the new her. "I can't complain."

It wasn't the purest triumph of skill nor strength.

By and large the match was determined by luck. If the other trainer was any kind of battle maniac, they would surely have a rematch at some point.

Not that even that would be possible if he let her go without getting her name.

Following her along he signed off on the battle results for the sake of updating the ledger. "Don't give me too much credit. It was basically my unruly kid throwing a tantrum." He crossed his arms. "-and then still getting his way by the end of it all."

At that moment he made it his point to push the little brat to his limits before he could rest again.

As for his battle partner, he couldn't say he was ready for her to make her leave. He found intrigue in her temperament.

She was as chilled as he was smoldering. His instincts pushed him to pursue study of such a dynamic.
