He missed the heat of Lulu Flint's gaze as Adrian Malcolm started letting out his inner diva again.

Sénon had long since lost the urge to roll his eyes at it. Adrian was a friend, he found it charming when the musician got in his 'performer bag'. The truth of it was that every man in the Game family could pay bass but Sénon was out of practice and who really had the time to commit to a band anyway.

Still, the names were nice, if not a bit off. "I'd have gone with; Gameboy, Graves, Gorgeous and Golden."

The popular archetypes of any music group. The wildcard, the spiritual, the prettyboy, and the frontman.

He sipped his drink six times over.

Okay, the headbutt was a little dirty but it gave him just enough time to keep up the pressure.

Somewhere inside regretted it as soon as he'd heard the 'crunch' of carbon on flesh. The fight was on now though, so he didn't have the luxury of guilt.

Rockets killed for less if this guy was one of them.

Maybe it was the taxing toll of that BRUTAL SWING nearly throwing him back and off his feet that made him smash face like that.

He'd held his ground successfully, but he could feel his arms still tense and a little tired from the one exchange.

His katana looked bent from the collision but the shit was being broken down and redistributed by the fan too fast to double check.

Coming off the headbutt Crimsen wouldn't allow any time for that likely broken nose, to send this dude into some rage-inducted untouchable state.

He shot a thought to Tsukuyomi, who was non-responsive.

Beating his chest he signaled for Amaterasu to blast through his standing location "INFERNO!" sending her flames straight at the little Bronzor.

Amaterasu used Inferno!

Sheathing, the vigilante recalled his psychic to its pokéball; Kadabra was too heavy to carry in an active fight.

Calling for another, Jennika was made to pour water on their teams proverbial grease-fire blasting the Honedge and its wielder with the most powerful water move a pokémon could master.

Tsukuyomi was returned!
Jennika used Water Spout!

HA fresh ball rolled in the mist leaving a second non-dragon-typed Dragon in its wake.

Gan, already removed from its jelly-form took on the battle malice of a true Charizard; burning viscous flames intended to pour over Honedge and force the Skullmask to drop it.

Gan used Inferno!

Yeesh, he wasn't even going to try to talk his way out of it? Barely had someone on his ass and he attacked. True Crimsen was armed with swords and clearly dressed for confrontation. Who wouldn't run from someone like that?

It was a vague disappointment he didn't even get to try to infiltrate the Rockets. Assuming this guy was one.

Skullcandy over here was running away from the evac and he was hiding his identity which meant he likely wasn't league.

Sénon was here under a cover as well, but he wasn't league tonight so much as he was anti-rocket. He was a decoy for their ire, a countermeasure.

A living flare.

"Yeah 'dont talk to strangers' I get it."

Given the linger effects of the first performance had all but disappeared; he offered up an encore.

Telepathically, Tsukuyomi once again received and relayed orders and the trio moved sun, heaven and earth into one space.

Tsukuyomi used Sunny Day!
Jennika used Water Pledge!
Amaterasu used Fire Pledge!

The Kadabra's eyes glowed yellow as his psychic machinations sweltered the humidity and the heat, birthing yet another false "sun" in their vicinity.

Black scales expanded as Amateru popped her wings hissing for only a half-second before spewing a thin focused flame at the advancing Bronzor. Standing before the Charizard's belly, Jennika touted her head back blowing a wide stream of water straight upwards.

The purposed two attacks made a precise collision, causing two effects. First, another rainbow formed over the vigilante's side of the battlefield, excessive mist sweeping past the two at the shins. Their own personal fog of war.

"Serious question."

He lost time for any further quips as the other wielded his honedge forcing the vigilante to block with a quickdraw of his own blade.

Given the physical strength of man and pokemon combined, Crimsen was forced back by holding a block against the combined force of their attack. Trying to fight back against the combined force made his arms feel heavy.

The slighted voice modulator in his helmet kept his voice unfamiliar, his slighted history with Rocket and itch for vindication kept his words unfiltered. "You don't think you fuckwads are gonna win tonight do you?"

Lowly, he went in for a headbutt against his opponent.

Ever since Ranton had learned to will the winds to acheive flight. Hiei had become less used a mount and had begun developing a jealousy of the gyarados.

To keep his dragons from tearing each other apart he wasn't left with much choice but to start including Hiei in his trips again.

Of course landing at the peak-end of the Fiery Path, a stolen glance on his salamence exposed its scaly 'smile'.

The fact that Hiei was openly expressing joy at all was a testament to how far they had come in their bond.

Making their way down the path the man and the dragon stayed alert to what the path might this week provide.

It seemed those who dabbled in time had understandings of the boundaries of time travel and its paradoxes better than he did. "Well then I guess I take back what I said." Go figure.

"Still, I'm not willing to just throw my eggs in the basket that has you dying of some side effect of being a chosen one."

If mind truly was over matter he willed himself to will her to good health. "I reject that reality." The affirming confidence in his voice made it sound like he actually had a choice.

He kneaded life back into her as he broke down the stress in her shoulders and brushed his lips over the back of her neck.

The babies all were too young to understand the subtle undertones of their proximity but they were impressionable enough to watch the human couple and learn socializing and affection.

They were rubbing off good on the babies in terms of development. Good for the babies, better for them.

More practice before their inevitable little monster came into the world. Which, going off of how nice Cait smelled, could very well be this year.

Summer Battle Solstice 01 (H✩T)

HORN DRILL was a strategic last resort. A great neutralizer that defied type disadvantages, ultimate defenses and even ridiculous experience gaps.

A deadly move that less than ten evolutionary lines of pokémon were capable of learning, (according to his most recent cross referencing of DEXapp). Aside from being largely obscure it was also largely inaccurate.

Yet... three out of ten times. It was a hit.

The tyrunt came down with all his body weight crushing the Luxray down into the sands with a sand-quaking boom.

With a clawed foot on the Luxray's shoulder the Tyrunt perched over its opponent roaring in a high-pitch.

It was true that he seemed to disappear from the rangers with no word. It was additive to his pride to know they carried on and protected the lands even when one of the leaders was vacant.

"I had a bit of an injury, from that excursion business in Meteor Falls." It was painful but nothing gnarly, he'd just sprained his ankle and broken a bone in his foot. "Shortly after I was needed in Kanto in my capacity as Ambassador."

He'd only gotten back today, and today was only about one thing. "Let get a drink when the battles are done." With a downward swipe of his arm to his side, he gestured Haunter to attack.

"CONFUSE RAY!"

He'd only just barely missed kim cole-essam teleport away as he himself arrived.

He wondered if the councilman saw him. Seemingly he'd be back if he left his torterra here to...

-shepherd the civilians to safety from the looks of it. It was admirable to see his first move was to set efforts to save people.

Upstanding gents aside, Kim Cole was small beans compared to the admiration he felt for the titan soaring over the skies. Despite being from Cinnabar right under the (alleged) nesting place Moltres, it was Lugia who commanded his fascination and favor.

Why was it here? If anyone could see under Crimsen's helmet they would see Sénon Game's mouth agape from the sight. Seeing Lugia in the distance was more of a shock than seeing Celebi nearly face to face.

The way it roamed the skies like it was patrolling, was Lugia here on the behest of some avatar it had chosen?

He stared at Lugia for what seemed like an eternity for an emergency combat situation. Kadabra seemed to notice other presences in the night sky. Calling two more of his team to his side he waved on the coming civilians in affirmation of the grass type Kim had left behind.

"I hope you two are rested up." The Kantonian starters nodded in cool and smoldering body languages, respectively. "Good. Lets mark our territory."

Turning to the psychic Crimsen communicated the team orders that the Kadabra would relay telepathically.

Through their mixed effort the Sootopolis' upper northside would be covered in an expansion of mist from water and fire colliding just clear of the civilians, causing a rainbow over the backdrop of a blaring pokémon-made 'sunlight'.

Moving down the stairs to the next level the vigilante traced in red called a stop to another 'hooded' figure running in the wrong direction.

Kadabra picking up the redhead's thoughts was given strict orders that no 'third-eye' of any nosy psychics be allowed to peek under his helmet.

Descending the steps he approached with an even stride. The Sunny Day of area 3B behind him acting as his backlighting.

Crimsen wants to battle!

"Slow down 'Skully'," He flashed a smirk but this guy wouldn't see it. "where's the fire?"

He couldn't blame her, a lot had just happened in the last two minutes.

Peeing on a stick told her she was expecting. No doctor to confirm but the sticks were right more often than not.

"If I wasn't clear about this." He cleared his throat like it was full of literal doubt, leaving nothing in his voice but reassurance and conviction. "There ain't no getting rid of me now." He was sure she could feel him smiling through the phone.

His voice cut down from teasing to warm... "I love you Cai..." then lovingly stern. "I want you on that helicopter by tomorrow night."

He was probably being sentimental since getting back to Hoenn but he pulled Adrian in for a hug from the handshake anyway.

With where his life was going battles would become a thing of the past and leisure time with friends would be far more of a gift than a common past time.

Todemaru seemed too fatigued to question the exchange.

He didn't have the words to express himself but the hug would say enough.

It was easier to take a hit when you knew you had a nasty retaliation coming. Jūken seemed to take that beak stab in stride and when the attack was over-

"Countercat!"

Countercat was a catch all term in which the riolu was ordered to counter any move that came its way through Counter for physical attacks or Copycat for any other kind.

It was just part of the riolu's battle education to be left to discern which moves could be responded with by Counter and which Copycat.

By now he was quite good at it.

Jūken used Counter!

-The ethereal blaze spread to his legs as he delivered a powerful COUNTER to PECK, sending double the damage he took back at the bird in the form of an axe-kick.

The Riolu was took the gesture in stride touching his paws his sides and bowing in deep respect.

It was important to him that his opponents know he wasn't a cruel combatant, only dedicated.

"Stay loose and take your time. That bird is bad match up for you."

Jūken nodded in silence. He wouldn't just roll over, he didn't want to lose.

"Start with FORESIGHT."

This girl was no novice. She must have had some experience not only to call upon a pokémon to perfectly neutralize his choice but the fact that she even had such a pokemon in the first place spoke to her resources, or her luck.

Clapping his mits together the riolu's body lit ablaze with an ethereal blazing blue aura that seemed to be pulled into its eyes. Its burning blue gaze fixed on the flyer.

Oh wow.

Such a sweet and classy woman. You find could find plenty of each in other trainers but not usually both in one person.

It was refreshing actually.

Truly he did, which was why he was sending out probably his most diligent and respectful pokemon.

Jūken, the one that if nothing else the ranger had a swelling amount of pride in.

Before long the sun would be setting and creeping in.

"Before long" meaning in several hours it was past noon, but the summer days were the longest days.

With his arms crossed he welcomed a new opponent. If he paced himself, maybe he could get to twenty battles after all. If not, ten was good a benchmark for a temporary set up as any number.

Before match ten however, he was granted a moment of cathartic reprieve through wanton destruction.

He was even given an 'opponent' to partake in this challenge.

"How many battles have you had since this thing started?"
