the lucario dashed around the grass as his eyes glowed a light blue hue as it scanned its surroundings. not too far from it it could detect the prescence of two stunfisk that were just lying on the ground. it had been tasked with hunting them down as they were not part of the usual group of pokemon that lived in the park and belonged to a group of poachers that decided to snatch up pokemon without going through the proper channels. skywalker didn't really get the specifics but he did know that he had to snatch up those stunfisk in retaliation so that no one else would get hurt. with deft hands and feet he dashed over them and grabbed them by their tails before running off with one in each paw and dropped them off at the office where people were waiting to just set them free or hand them to the police.

The Treecko was bummed out, having stuck himself to one of the overhanging trees, acting as an extra pair of ‘eyes in the sky’ or whatever the hell that was supposed to mean.

All he was sure was that his Detecting skills would come in great handy here, and—

And there it was! One, two, three…

The Treecko’s eyes nearly popped out of its sockets as it saw no less than five of those weird-looking pancake Pokémon, smirking and cackling to themselves as they hid in the dirt.

Not only did they look ugly, they were downright—well the Treecko had no other words for this strange phenomena. At the moment, though, he quickly jumped down and began hauling back one of the stubborn, ugly-looking pancake-like Pokémon back with him.

Why was it so fucking heavy?!

This was going to take a while…

clobbopus can tell his owner does not like him that much. heck, the octopus doesn't even have his own name! but opportunities like this rarely comes and he needs to show how a fighter like him can do as much as his dragons.[break][break]

the job is simple: detect all galarian stunfisks around the safari and return them to the owner. the lucario and treecko may have done a good job fending of these trap-creatures. but clobbopus has eight arms and he can do just as much![break][break]

Lucario had been raised in Galar, trained by its master to avoid the deceptive Stunfisk unique to the region. Their fins resembled a serrated bear trap, eager to snap shut around the ankles of unsuspecting safari-goers and their Pokemon.

Lucario closes its eyes as it takes in the aura of its surroundings, detecting anomalies in the area. Some turn out to be Pokemon from the current safari selection, and others Pokemon working alongside Lucario, but it isn't long before the canine's nose twitches and his ears perk up. Lucario opens its eyes to survey the patch of grass nearby, seeing no disturbance and yet knowing that something was there.

He is not to interact with the Stunfisk; others will be sent to pick them up. He barks, a sharp sound that rings out across the Safari, and indicates the anomaly when a partner comes to investigate.

the flareon only has one job and it was the same as everyone else. there's no point on learning the specifics if it can just copy what everyone was doing and then appear busy with them.

when he sees one of the group pick out their targets, the flareon attempts to detect the traps as well. it manages to pick out the stunfisks in the hiding with its careful eyes as it sets off to disarm them for the others to clean up.

it runs across the field, coating itself with flames, as it flare blitzes throughout a winding path. it sets off each stunfisk, only for them to yield when met with their weakness.

Sirfetch'd was a strange bird he was still getting used to. "Use DETECT to find the stunfisk traps." He seldom had to be told what to do more than once. He followed order beyond well and carried himself with a sort of personal pride. The others followed his orders because the loved and respected him.

Sirfetch'd being so new to the team that love wasn't likely, followed his orders seemingly because he'd lost to the trainer in battle and succumb to a superior force. Yet, there wasn't an a feeling of begrudging from the duck. It didn't hate his trainer for capturing it but followed orders so diligently and without joy.

It was the first pokémon he'd encountered that followed orders simply because it had them.

"Pick them up but don't eat them." With a nod it walked the Safari Zone grounds with him. Encountering the Stunfisk traps and using DETECT to not set them off he'd remove them from the grounds by sliding his leek lance underneath and lifting them from the ground rending them inert.

Using his own shield as a collection plate it piled the collection of stunfisk upside down on the shield which it dragged behind himself the whole way. He'd even managed to stop Sénon from stepping one trap.

He didn't seem to want for praise likely too proud or embarrassed and that was something they would have to work on moving forward.

waddling closer, the pokemon strikes the pokemon with a single hit. the stunfisk slams shut around the vegetable stalk and keeps its grip firm. frantically, the farfetch'd attempts to shake it free.

The Sceptile nods in agreeance, more than happy to comply if it means some exposure to the outside world. A life full of lavish grows dull with time. Slateport's Gym is outfitted with every amenity known to Pokemon but it fails to capture the excitement of adventure. It makes Fernando's Pokemon restless. It makes them eager to unrust their blades.

"Battle routine set."

The reptile crouches, marking its position in preparation for the one meter dash. Both blades run parallel to its arms, dorsal fins to help it achieve better aerodynamics. It wants to run.

"Execute."

And it takes off like the wind, DETECTING anything unnatural it may have stepped on, retaliating with a preemptive LEAF BLADE.
