The SHADOW CLAW collides with thick, tangled furs, forcing the ANNIHILAPE to stumble backward. Shackles rattle around the ape's heels as they struggle to find footing on the canvas.[break][break]

Still, Noah does not look deterred. Rather, he seems quite pleased: the smile on his face brimming with a confidence almost frightening in the way that it shines beyond the stagelights that pour so generously into the ring.[break][break]

"Thing is, Elise." The gym leader says. "The more you hit my Annihilape. The stronger it'll get. Let's just see how long you and your Aegislash last. RAGE FIST!"[break][break]

Suddenly, the Annihilape's body straightens. Dark grey muscle tightens, veins throbbing with vengeful rage. Eyebrows billow above crimson moons as its arm, engorged with the memory of the Aegislash's claw, swings for the blade's hilt.

The move from her Aegislash hits the Annihiliape since she was down to the one Pokemon that could potentially make an even better impression in their match. Noah had been teaching her the importance of not giving up and she’d follow that to the bitter end. However, the gym leader tells her that Rage Fist had the unfortunate effect of making his Pokemon stronger when hit. The gym leader wanted to see how much she and her Aegislash could hold on as Noah calls out for his Annihiliape to use Rage Fist on the Royal Sword Pokemon.[break][break]

Before the Aegislash could react, the Annihiliape’s Rage Fist punches the blade’s hilt. Caliburn is thrown to the ground with the amount of force put into the other ghost type’s punch though the sword Pokemon gets up. “Even if your Annihiliape’s move gets stronger… I won’t give in.” The ambassador responds to the gym leader and gives him a resolute nod. “Caliburn, keep fighting with Shadow Claw!” [break][break]

A swing from the Aegislash’s blade tries to slash at the Annihiliape with his glowing purple blade.

Thinking that the Annihiliape would dodge her Aegislash’s Shadow Claw, she gets a bit of a surprise when Noah’s Annihiliape does not dodge and faints from the swing of the Aegislash’s glowing purple blade. The battle was over and with one of her Pokemon out of commission, the gym leader before her has successfully taught her what he wanted her to do during their match. As she hears the ring bell ding, Noah came over to congratulate her on her win.[break][break]

“Thank you, Noah. It was a splendid match and a bit of a close one as well.” The royal ambassador smiles as her Aegislash, a bit battered by the earlier attack, stands near her like a white knight serving his royal Galarian princess. “You’ve taught me well during our match. I’m grateful that I’ve gotten the chance to improve on my battling.”
