WHETHER IT WAS DISPLACED BENEATH LITTLEROOT DUE TO DIMENSIONAL ENTANGLEMENT, BROUGHT BACK TO FUNCTIONING ORDER DUE TO DIALGA, OR BOTH, can not be determined. However, this kingdom made entirely out of intricate mechanisms is void of human life. Clockwork gears, iron tunnels, and curious domes make up this kingdom that continues to function like an animatronic music box.[break][break]

Mechanical Pokemon like Magearna, Volcanion and others present in the kingdom seem to be robotic, set to a rhythm or programming like an animatronic figure.[break][break]

Several clock towers loom above the entire kingdom, though their machinery seems to be in disrepair.

🗺️ SPECIAL HUNT: Eris Halla will be able to encounter a VOLCANION that can speak. This is the same Volcanion that destroyed a humanmade tower and encountered Alexei Ivanov in an underwater cavern. You must win its trust in some way, for it is wary of humans due to an unknown reason, but perhaps related to the events that have transpired in this kingdom a long time ago.[break][break]

It guards several SOUL-HEARTS that it is attempting to repair. It will manage to repair one Soul-Hearts by chance as it transfers some of its INFINITY ENERGY to it, shortening the Volcanion's life. The Volcanion is doing this in an attempt to find the MAGEARNA it had sworn to protect a long time ago, believing itself to be the last surviving "knight" of the royal guard.[break][break]

Bringing one SOULLESS MAGEARNA to the Volcanion will allow Paxton to open a hatch on the Magearna's chest to install the Soul-Heart in order to grant it "life", which then can be captured.
🗺️ THE METAL GEAR can be used to activate a gate, machine, or any other gear-based mechanism to overcome an obstacle. doing so can help pursue and catch the fleeing ZYGARDE CELL for the LEAGUE to study.

Despite how shaky her playing has been, she's more or less managed to recreate the melodies in her head, filled the gaps in her memories with adlibs of her own and in turn, given life to new little ideas in her head.[break][break]

And with a good ruffle of Reiner's mane, she'll turn back to look at Amor. Perhaps, the time they've spent here has been enough for him to recover. Perhaps, he'll ask for a bit more time before they move on. Either way, she's willing to follow whatever call he has in mind, having had her fill of the piano and this room.

Watched, and listened to her play the notes, looking at the stained panes of glass as they told the story of her life, but he didn't comment on it. There was nothing to say, he just smiled at the small girl in front of him.

"You play well...." Came the simple compliment from his lips as he just marveled at the wonders of this place. There was so much to explore here, and so little time it felt like. Sometimes he wished eh could just freeze the world around him, and explore it to his hearts content. That however wasn't feasible for the moment. They had seen each other's hearts now....

"Vivienne...." Amor told Eris a name that only one other person had ever heard. The traitorous @isaac had heard him speak this name once while Amor was drunk. "She was my Princess...." The hurt tore at his chest his heart felt like it was bleeding out just to say this much. "It's why I want to help Knight...." Amor hadn't really told her his actual motivations for coming here so often....

Felt her tiny hand clamp on his, and he nodded. She was right, they were going to help the Knight. Amor use to love reading stories of knights, and superheroes as a child. Part of him always wanted to get strong enough to become one, one day, but that wasn't his destiny. Amor realized a fundamental fact, to become a hero you needed to make your ideals into a reality. To bend the world to your whim. Amor didn't have that kind of power on his own, but maybe the two of them together....Maybe Eris Halla, and himself could make the impossible possible together.

"I think that is the right course of action....The more information we gather, the more prepared we will be to save them both...." He expressed to her, and he thought about where they should go for more information. They hadn't been able to fully check out the throne room before, so they could start there? "We could go back to the throne room....Unless you had other ideas?" He'd say to her with a tilt of his head. They were in this together, and so he wouldn't jsut brush off any idea that she came up with.

Eris was one of the few people that had actually earned his respect, the other being @navy.

She adds a method onto the plan, tugging him along as Reiner takes his place by her left side. Whether to impress their majesty upon others, or simply intimidate them before silly ideas of treachery begin to fill their heads, she supposes that looking for more paintings of the past would help.[break][break]

And so they're off, her memory serving her well as she navigates these lengthy hallways to the best of her ability. New branches are noticed at each turn, each brief pause at a crossroad allowing her time for new obstacles and paths recorded into her notebook. Soon enough, she might just have this place mapped out - How exciting would that be?[break][break]

Her gaze wanders with wonder, stories of the kingdom breathing through these dusty and cracked walls. This corridor looks rather familiar, and she soon pieces it together that this must be that hallway linking the library to the throne room. Will they end up seeing another one of those little green creatures?[break][break]

"Oh."[break][break]

Or perhaps, a rather weathered painting of a once vividly-coloured Magearna, cradled ever so lovingly in the arms of a young girl. It's a rather lonely portrait seated upon these walls. The years have taken the shine from her eyes, her cheeks a sickly grey just like the rest of her skin. And yet-[break][break]

"She looks very..."[break][break]

Pursing her lips doesn't help her to produce any other words. Weird? Mysterious? No, that's not quite the description she's looking for.[break][break]

This time he was following once more, but he was close by, nothing would get to her while his Pokemon, and him were near again. Not again....So off they were, and after a while they were back into a familiar hallway. Curiously he saw the same painting she did, of a little girl in what appeared to be very noble clothing holding a doll in her clutches. The doll in her grasp looked very similar to his Magearna, but the colors were different. Where his was completely silvery white. This one had the color palette of white, and red. Almost like a pokeball. Amor stared at the faded painting, and he had an inkling of who it was, and a sense of dread filled him at the same time.

"That might be....The Princess...." he stated to her with a bit of a frown. Probably because they had been fighting mechanical demons each time he had come here he hadn't noticed the painting before. From the journals they had read, and the Knights own words....Amor wondered if they really had tried to transfer her soul. "She would be very pretty, if the colors weren't faded...." Amor found the words for Eris, at least in his opinion anyways.

Painting could bring out the true beauty of something, show it in a way that it could never been seen again. Amor marveled at the picture from an artists point of view, and he did his best to retain every detail that he could. Maybe he could recreate it, and bring it to the Knight in the future? Perhaps it would offer the Volcanion some small solace....

"What do you think?" he poses the question to his young companion eyes staying on the picture curiously wondering if there was some secret hidden there, that he didn't know.

Her hand instinctively reaches out to touch the canvas, but a quiet voice in her mind reminds her not to unintentionally destroy the past. "I used to hold Cory like that... Or perhaps, it had simply been the pose that the artist wished for the princess to strike. Even so, it couldn't have been easy for her to sit still. Heaven knows Eris would only sit still for a picture, then promptly begin running off again.[break][break]

"Maybe she's out there, looking for her doll?" She remembers having travelled across the war-torn region of Kanto, just hoping to get home to find her own. "I don't get why there's so many robots made to look just like it... A fantasy land where she can play with them forever?"

That was an interesting point something he had never considered before though there were many things that he didn't consider. Having a fresh perspective was helpful so that he didn't get lost in his own thoughts.

"You might be right....I think I've seen a few stray ones around, but it looks like my Magearna." He expressed holding the Pokeball that contained Princess. He had named it to honor the Knights search, but it felt like a bit in bad taste now. Still he furrowed his brow in thought. "We could go and ask the Knight again....Though I'm not sure what good it will do....What do you think?"

Amor nodded to her, and he thought for a moment they were going to have to Teleport again, and he knew that doing so, so rapidly when you weren't use to it could make someone sick. So before he just whisked her away he looked around to make sure the coast was clear, and he looked down at her.

"Do you need to rest a while longer before Belus takes us back? I don't know if there is an actual physical way down there. I've always just teleported, even the first time we got there was because of a primal shard. So if you need to rest a bit longer that's okay. We aren't necessarily in a rush." He said to her checking her over with a quick glance making sure there was nothing physically out of place on her. If she was harmed he would take things much slower.

At least for the moment all was quiet in the little chamber they were in, they weren't being attacked by guards, and there was nothing exploding around them for the moment. So if they needed they could recuperate a little more in this place, and then trudge forward.

The room was quiet to quiet for them since the last time they had come down here, and he looked around obviously on edge. Eris may not have truly needed his protection, but that wouldn't stop him from doing it regardless. Especially after last time. Shaking his head free as he trudged forward with her in tow they would enter the chamber, and it would be here where Eris would witness what Amor had been trying to tell her about their shared dilemna on how to heal Mesprit. There was a way to do it. They would happen upon the Volcanion with one of the Magearna dolls, the lifeless Soul Hearts around it, and Amor frowned.

It had been the same way when he had gotten Princess, he had watched the procedure from afar, and once he realized what it had done, pity had welled up in his chest. Holding out a hand to stop Eris he would kneel down to whisper to her, not wanting to disturb the Knight.

"Go talk to him, and watch what he does. It will help you understand how we can heal Mesprit." He explained to her perhaps a bit solemnly.

Eris was a good kid despite all her flaws, she was genuinely good. So he wondered how she would take the reality of the situation before them now, and in the future. To heal Mesprit something else had to suffer....

[attr="class","inner-finally"]Wishing and hoping is easy, but reality often is a hard pill to swallow. It'd barely been an hour since they'd left and yet, the Volcanion that lays before them seems so much more tired than before.[break][break]

Watch what he does, she is told. And so she listens, dropping her volume as she approaches the giant. Weary as he may be, his movements remain delicate and precise, cradling each heart-shaped component and watching as it slowly begins to glow. And then, he lifts a lifeless Magearna, carefully slotting the object into the chest hatch.[break][break]

Tick, tick.[break][break]

Infinity energy is essentially one's life force. She has always understood that attempting to transfer such energy would require sacrifices. And yet, as she listens to every laboured breath the Volcanion takes, watches how he attempts to hide his trembling, she realises that perhaps, she had never understood the extent of those sacrifices.[break][break]

The Magearna in his arms begins to twitch, jerking to life and articulating every joint she's made of. But as the Volcanion continues to watch them, a darkness crosses his gaze - A despair that stems from so deep within.[break][break]

She isn't the one.[break][break]

Another Magearna placed back onto the ground, another creation that he must abandon in his quest. He averts his gaze as she looks around, her gaze finally settling on him as she gracefully curtsies.[break][break]

"Take this one away from me and begone."[break][break]

His words are so cruel, but oh so fragile.[break][break]

"You can't keep this up." Ignorant to her place in the matter.[break][break]

"Who are you to tell me what I can or cannot do?"[break][break]

"It'll kill yo-" Growing oh so painfully aware of just what she sees.[break][break]

"So be it."[break][break]

Oh, to throw a tantrum in front of a being far larger than her.[break][break]

"She'd come back, but then you'd have to leave her! And then she'd be all alone! In this place, where everything feels so messed up!"[break][break]

Oh, to be so brazen as to question their choices. The Volcanion narrows his eyes, the arms on his back beginning to hiss with trails of steam.[break][break]

"You came here out of love, didn't you?" Undeterred by the growing threat, she continues to run her tongue. "You were the one who broke that tower. You were looking for the soul-heart for some reason. You had to have come here of your own will."[break][break]

He wouldn't have stayed if it didn't help him in the slightest. He wouldn't continue to search for the princess here if he didn't think he had a chance of finding her.[break][break]

"If you really cared for her, you'd take care of yourself. You'd make sure you'd be able to stay to protect her. That you won't ever fail her again. And if it gets too hard for you to do that, I can help." A hand on her chest lets her feel her pulse, her heart burning with sincerity as it begins to quicken.[break][break]

"I don't know what happened between you and people. But you don't have to trust me to use me. So use me, to help fix this place. To help keep you alive. Anything to get the princess back."
