After grabbing a snack bar to eat during the afternoon and throwing the wrapper in one of the trash cans, a notification on her smartphone tells her to go to the nearby arena for a match. Her opponent’s name was very familiar, it was the same guy that was her senior in the rangers’ division and a higher ranking police officer too. After not having the chance to work with Paxton again in the recent faction conflict, the female royal still remembered the way that the masked Rocket bested her in a Pokemon battle when they faced each other on the island’s shores.[break][break]

Wrapping herself up in her dark blue coat and putting on her black winter gloves, Elise heads inside the battling arena with her Mismagius following after her. When her opponent comes inside the arena, the royal ambassador gives him a little smile. “Hello again, sir. I would hope that I can train with you, so that I can grow stronger in future battles to come.”

As Paxton jokes a bit that she’ll have to try not tripping without her safety shoes and he smiles while saying it was good to see her again, the ambassador laughs a little at the blond man’s joke. “I will try, but I think the safety shoes you gave me are much better to walk in than heels.” She remembered that heels were not the best shoes to be wearing in combat and the safety shoes Paxton gave her were pretty nice to wear for her combat uniform.[break][break]

Alongside the blond man was his Mawile and he’d speak that he and his Mawile would like to see how much the Galarian royal had improved. “Well then, I’ll show you and your Mawile that we’ve improved too.” The royal gives the order to her Mismagius since this was her first time battling with Paxton. “I’d like you to start with Shadow Ball please.”[break][break]

Mana creates a dark sphere of her own ghostly energy and hurls it at the officer’s Mawile, she’ll like to see how the steel and fairy type would handle the first attack.[break][break]

Elise gives her superior a nod when he ends his reply with a snort, the move that his Mawile chooses to use first is an Iron Defense. A good defense made for a good offense after all and that was the beginning of their match where she could impress Paxton over her training with her Mismagius. Since the Mawile would be bracing herself, the floating purple ghost launches a Shadow Ball in an attempt to attack the defending Mawile first. [break][break]

Conibear can't brace against the SHADOW BALL and is knocked back. But before Paxton can order it she's up on her feet, rushing forward glowing rainbow. Paxton doesn't hold her back as she jumps at the ghost, one head splicing into two and both arching over the front head to clamp down on the Mismagius with CRUNCH. [break][break]
