First round is to Melody, as Genny watches the dirt soaked completely, mud and dust fly everywhere, and Genny covered her face... and then gets a rather disarming shot of Melody spitting out dirt from her mouth.[break][break]

With a bit of a sweat, she orders out. "Gordo, throw it back!" With one big slam, the big armadillo does just that, throwing down the gauntlet of a MAX QUAKE![break][break]

The MEGA energy now exuding from the Abomasnow has Genny's hazel eyes laser-focused, as she throws her hands both out.[break][break]

GYRO BALL hits true. "DOWN!" Genny orders, and with the immediate strike of the WOOD HAMMER, the armadillo flies, and dives into the ground. Digging in...[break][break]

To appear moments later beneath the Abomwsnow, with a DIG![break][break]

Oh. WHOA. Syah was able to get that DYNAMIC PUNCH, and quite literally knocked Gordo flying away, with the sounds of a flying armadillo filling the streets for a spell, as the redhead turned around, and looked almost perturbed.[break][break]

Her hazel eyes blinked, as she turned around towards Dr. Morales, and grins. "That was so cool!" Gordo was perfectly fine, but that one really socked the heck out of the armadillo. So in response?[break][break]

Now it was mono-y-mono, and both fighters had no more DYNAMAX. The final rounds, they would be whatever each fighter had left in the tank.[break][break]

Gordo was faster right now, and with a blind Pikachu, the armadillo attempts one very quick, very fast ROLLOUT to get the electric mouse down for the count![break][break]

Lucario were something else... Genny's eyes watched the jackal jump through the rocks and wreckage, and as she grins, she feels a pang in her chest.[break][break]

Her eyes focus, as the FLASH CANNON makes Gordo cry out, the giant armadillo reaching for himself.[break][break]

"Shake it off, Gordo! You got this, give them the quake!" The armadillo throws both hands downwards to smash the ground open with a MAX QUAKE![break][break]

This was new. Completely so. Genny could see the warring sand and snow, brushing along her forearm, as she holds it at the ready, pulling her hat down further.[break][break]

"Keep up the pressure, Gordo!"[break][break]

Spinning faster and faster, the Sandshrew is able to bounce off the arm, and back towards the face via their previous rollout, moving soon after, at the moment they can, a rebounding GYRO BALL to the back of the Abomasnow, intention to throw the yeti off their feet with some pain.[break][break]

Well this was a conundrum... Gordo really liked Sugar, and despite the fact that they both didn't want to, Gordo pat the Sylveon quietly, as he steps back.[break][break]

A quick strike with PSYSHOCK throws the Sandshrew backwards, but even so, Genny's eyes flash. "Don't worry about it, Gordo! Shake it off, and take'em where you want to take'em!" This meant simply, the start of the SANDSTORM, activating SAND RUSH, and by proxy, allowing Gordo to go faster.[break][break]

All for a quick, but light, ROLLOUT! He had to make sure his new friend fought back![break][break]

The blue MYSTICAL FIRE flies outwards to hit the shrinking green armadillo, an unfortunate strike made. But Gordo wasn't perturbed. In fact, with the Rockfall's SANDSTORM, this is where the duo really shined.[break][break]

"Spin dash!" with rip and tear, the armadillo speeds like crazy through the arena floor of the restaurant, the SAND RUSH upping his speed for a powerful ROLLOUT collision![break][break]

Melody seemed excited, and Genny was too! With a pull down of her hat, and Gordo having a bit of brain freeze, as the armadillo quickly spins in place.[break][break]

Did she do something with her hair? She felt on it. She HAD put some product in it for it to smell nice for uh-[break][break]

A little sheepish now, Genny twirls it around with a finger before snapping back to attention. Genny nods happily. "Absolutely, Melody! I hope you're ready to go!"[break][break]

So much can happen in moments of time. Genevieve feels her body lighter than air, and her stomach churns. She was dead to rights, the blade was just moments from her, Ky unable to be fast enough, thrown backwards by SACRED SWORD. This Rocket (Hitoshi Inoue) has her, and Genny's eyes look with despair.[break][break]

illeana reyes's PROTECT procs. Somehow, someway, Genny feels the blade seconds away from her body, and the redhead feels nothing. No pain, no problem, and as Ky speeds around with AGILITY, and pulls Genny away, as best as they can, the yellow thundercat not about to be divided and conquered.[break][break]

Blood... wait. What? Why is she...[break][break]

Genny looks at her shoulder. The protective energy went off... right? Seconds ago... just one second too late. Before the move made the wound fatal. Genny had quite literally cheated death by divine intervention alone, and as she moves to grip her bleeding shoulder to apply pressure, she glares at the Rocket.[break][break]

Battle lost, war won. Palkia was on their side.[break][break]

Ky gets back in stance, ready to fend the Ultra Beast, and Genny to the Dog. But she was in no shape to fight with one arm focused like this... worse, the adrenaline was leaving her. She has to focus on the pain, to stay awake.[break][break]

Desi... Yuina... Elise... Izzy... she's starting to lose consciousness. It's so much colder, as each face enters her tired, exhausted mind. She can see her girlygang at their end of the year party just weeks ago. DESIREE BLOOMS, Yuina Higashi, Elise Calcifet. Even those not closeby. luka chêne, marilee beaufort, Andrea Vaneau. Then she sees Isaac Merlo in her head. Smiling at her. Her hazel eyes begin to close.[break][break]

Be good, she fades, feeding it to the void of her mind. Too much blood. That strike was a lot deeper than she thought it had been.

A dog should know their place. But even as the kick comes in, attempting to slap into the dog, his shoulder absorbs it, and she feels the elbow dig into her stomach, the air pushed out of her lungs, as she takes the step back...[break][break]

"You'll find... I'm full of surprises," she wheezes for air, as she digs her boot heels into the ground, her hazel eyes filled with anger.[break][break]

And then Venus disappeared. In her place, a flash of lightning. A quick switched yellow cat bursting out of the ball. "Go." The yellow cat bounces like lightning, as Genny comes up towards the Rocket, intent to throw a punch. But the Zeraora comes in with the PLASMA FISTS, throwing hands with such agility. If he focuses too much on Genny, he gets hurt. If he focused on the yellow flash, Genny was getting an attack in.[break][break]

Unless Kusanagi stopped them. But Genny was betting on it. Just a little.

The problem, the unfortunate effect of using all of her quickness, was that that singular turn was really going to cost this race for her. But Genny didn't care so much about that. She was having fun. And that's what mattered. When Uzi looked bummed that even Kairi, Josh's own Vaporeon, was able to blur ahead with QUICK ATTACK, all he could think about was his inability.[break][break]

"Do your best, Uzi. That's all I ask." The little Vaporeon knew the race wasn't lost yet. So, with everything in his little body, he continues the race, knowing he has nothing left in the tank.[break][break]

"Okay. Aaaaaaaaaand, turn!" she yells, as the U-turns come in quick succession again, and again, and again. Each time, Genny made sure to note when to make the turn. Uzi could do it. She was certain, and even if he didn't?[break][break]

That's not what this was about.[break][break]

This whole Championship ambition, was made to get stronger to begin with. And so, as she slaps her tail to get the proper turns going... Genny knows her Vaporeon is strong. If only Serenity were here to see this too.[break][break]
