“Stupid traffic is being stupid, that’s all I can see. Thankfully… we’ve made reasonable time catching up to our target,” he began from the front-side passenger seat. He was busy looking out the window, mentally cursing the traffic in the back of his mind. Add to that the weather was making things even more difficult for everyone in general.

At least the information they were given was sound, and reliable. Now they had to be on the lookout for the truck and be ready to bust some jerks if needed.

Of course, they were unaware that the people they were going to be bringing merry hell down on weren’t the ones they were looking for. So for now, he kept his gaze outside the window, cheek resting against the cool metal of his prosthetic hand.

“They call me Duke. I used to have a sister. Her code name was Duchess. But she’s dead now,” he said shortly. He had been tangling with the possibility of leaving for some time now, but until he had a solid reason to actually do the shenanigans he was stuck.

As this was the only place that offered him a roof over his head, and food to eat.

If there was one thing he hated more than sand, it was this.

Snow made his metallic limbs malfunction, and boy he was sorely mistaken as he sought refuge in one of the hottest places in the region, only to be met with the white stuff falling from the sky.

Shivering, he sincerely hoped he would last this month, because frostbite was a very real danger for him! Seeing that there was something swarming, he wondered if his sister could see him now. He knew she liked these Pokémon, but... well...

He then plucks out an empty Pokéball and takes aim, hoping to get the hell away from the cold as fast as he can!

How he hated being stuck behind bars.

Was it because he was just a “kid who turned out be a petty thief” he was stuck here?! Behind the cold steel that kept him separated from the rest of the world. Even if he wasn’t old enough to be officially judged in adult court yet, the time he spent here was more time wasted trying to get away.

But… there was a reason why he had to stay put. He was informed that someone was coming to get him out because he’d managed to get his hands on some top-secret information that would undermine the League’s efforts?

Or… was he better off in here? Honestly, he would take freedom over tasteless food, thank you very much! How was he going to get out if he didn’t even have his Pokémon companions with him?! This was terrible.

It sucked being stuck here.

At least the wardens had mercy not to put him in the cell that held the older prisoners. He was going to be roasted alive if he ever wound up in there.

They’d even attempted to take his limbs away from him, but after seeing what happened to him when they tried, it was best they left it on the poor boy… man.

Whatever.



He stuck in jail, someone come rescue him pls

He had no idea how and why he was roped into this.

Maybe because they thought he looked like an absolute farm boy?! Was it because he looked so… so young…

Well, excuse this buster, he’s sixteen and he’s very much a teenager! …only, he’s still stuck at 4’11” and it really sucked to be short.

He was a little desperate for money, and so he decided to help out this sheep farm near one of the backwater towns, some place called Littleroot. It was of no consequence. But to be honest, it had been a while since he’d actually done something productive. Something worthwhile.

Something… worth fighting for.

He wasn’t expecting to play baby-sitter to a whole bunch of sheep, though! Even if they were adorable and were now nipping around Alfons’s limbs as the Golurk was lying down on the grass, being a huge-ass, quiet sentinel that he needed lounging around.

He knew the Golurk could handle himself, and for him, this was more than enough to have around. At least for this baby-sitting gig.

At least the pay was nice, or so he hoped.

There were so many turbulent thoughts going through his head right now.

Was it… really worth staying where he was at the moment? He knew he wasn’t going to get anything out of it further, what with his sister gone (and most likely dead) and nobody else to defend. Now that he was on his own, he was forced to turn to his ‘real’ identity, the one he’d hidden.

He’d gone by Duke for so long, being called Arashi again was still jarring and disconcerting for him. Well…

He had stayed up too late watching Ghidorah, some three-headed monster think that went up against a ‘kaiju’ of some sort that looked like a… wow.

He wanted one of these bad boys.

The question is how lucky would he be? Or how UNlucky would his ass be?

Sighing, he decides to approach from one side and toss a Pokéball randomly into the crowd of converging Tyranitar, his eyes shining with want.
