the last time valerio scouted the lands outside fallabor, he only got the slightest of chance to encounter other hordes in the wild. but then apart from the fighting-types, he learns steel pokémons crawl through the ashen grounds as well. he realizes this might be the perfect place to train zeus, considering how he still has no coordination with his more recent dragon-type hauls.[break][break]

"nice bird you got there. She's a real beauty." a voice called out to him belonging to one blonde man who came up the side of the road and noticed the pair. It looked like they were searching for something from faraway but now that he was upclose kaz had to guess otherwise. Training was the next possible answer, this route had a lot of heavy hitters hiding away that made it a good place for combat training in his experience. Still that didn't give him the right to intrude, "oh sorry am I interrupting you?

valerio glances over his shoulder, making sure the voice is not hostile—perhaps, he is hoping for Cillian Quinn , like a déjà vu from their “moment” back then. afterall, his home is just a few sprints away. this time, however, what appears is a blond of bulky stature, quite closer to his taste in men. brown orbs travel from his body downwards, then meeting his eyes. he stands tall and flashes a smile. “you don’t have to tease zeus.” the altaria proudly fluttere his silver-like cotton wings. “and he says he’s not a ‘she.’”[break][break]

a mienfoo dashes from the background as the two makes a conversation, but it does not miss zeus’s sight. the dragon launches series of dragon energy, meteors fallig with the ash but at light speed, fainting the creature. valerio retrieves a capsule and hurls to the fallen beast.[break][break]

"oh whoops. that's my bad." there really needed to be more differences between male and female pokemon in the world, and probably something a little more than a different shape of ones tail or horn. of course that was just one small gripe with the world so kaz chose to just bury it underneath, after all he just ran into a pretty handsome guy out on his walk. that was more important after all.

as a mienfoo darted out and the altaria dispatched it with incredible speed and power kazimir let out a whistle, "damn he sure is strong too. must have put a lot of work into him huh." lucky for kazimir another pokemon hopped out, a hitmonchan that looked like it was looking for a fight, one that kaz was willing to indulge. taking out a capsule he released his large corviknight who took one look at the boxing pokemon and let out a cry as kazimir signaled it with two of his fingers. "show 'em what ya made of noct."

with its large body flying ahead and turning it around like a large drill it was enough to send the pokemon flying into the range of kazimir and his pokeball that he tossed. "birds are pretty cool ain't they?"[break][break]

valerio does not mind mistakes of people misgendering pokémons. after all, he believes these creatures care less of the pronouns their trainers refer to them. zeus is just... a little bit intelligent and a little bit sensitive towards things. the rocket dismisses the attitude and focuses on the compliment instead.[break][break]

“he sure does make great impressions,” arms crossed like a proud daddy of dragons. “but he still has a lot to work on.”[break][break]

a fleeing timburr makes the speedy sight of the altaria, the fluffy dragon tries again to prove his trainer wrong. zeus flutters his cotton wings and casts a blinding light, channeling tremors into ground and locking the fighting-type in its cracks. trapped, the timburr has no choice but to accept the premier ball being thrown in its direction.[break][break]

valerio faces the blond and reciprocates his excitement. “birds are really great! but don’t dragons excite you more?”[break][break]

kaz lets out a whistle as he watches the altaria make quick work of a timburr that allowed its trainer to capture it without any fuss. "yeah but he does have some skill. i'll say that at least." it wasn't easy being that good after all, even if he still needed a long ways to go according to his trainer kaz was sure the pokemon could do great things.

suddenly the topic of dragons was brought up and kaz himself lit up like a light at the topic. "oh yeah they're pretty cool, and powerful too. like seriously they're actual monsters if i'm being honest. actually that's kinda why i've been going up and down this route for a while now, supposedly there's a dragon that lives around here called....duraludon? i think that's what it's called anyway. you ever hear about that? i've caught a few dragons myself lately but i've heard some cool things about this one so i've kept my eye open."[break][break]

and with his unparalleled excitement over dragons, valerio swears he is fawning over the blond dude. “duraludon!” his eyes widen as he speaks every syllables of its name. “believe me, i’ve been trying to catch one too! but they are uncommon for a reason.”[break][break]

contrary to his previous catches, the clobbopus lags with her every stride. each tentacle takes time to forward the pokémon’s progression, enough for the capsule thrown at her to catch and be kept by the trainer.[break][break]

valerio crouches, retrieves the capsule from the ground and continues as he searched the other man’s eyes. “you’re right. dragons are more... monsters than pets. you need to gain their confidence if you want to catch them. training’s a separate thing, too.”[break][break]

"oh tell me about it. when ya do get one to trust you its a magical feeling man, on the other hand." his mind went to his tyrantrum that had his own personal space separate from the rest of the pokemon he's kept in reserve and shuddered at the memories he's had of that thing almost killing him just by being a big dinosaur that was somehow part dragon. seriously pokemon in the old times must have been really...earthy and natural, if he had to put a phrase on it.

"they can be real beasts. you've ever seen a tyrantrum in the wild? would recommend steering clear of them, those guys can kill a man by just walking." he gave a light hearted chuckle as the joke had a bit of experience behind it. "i actually got one myself...and i swear while it listens to me its just too wild to really 'listen' to me y'know? you kinda seem like a dragon master in trainer, any tips you can share?" he put his hands together in a pleading manner as his eyes turned to almost watery to make himself look a little more pathetic and in need of assistance on how to deal with his king of beasts.[break][break]

valerio giggles on the blond’s advice on dealing with wild dragons—he doesn’t know valerio is a trained dragon slayer. he knows how to get into a dragon’s consciousness, break it and bend it at his will in order for them to follow his words. “yeah, dragons are strong-willed. they won’t give in so easily.”[break][break]

he is obviously interested in training one dragon enthusiast. after all, the practice has been long extinct and he is the last of his clan to do what he does. “what do i get if i teach you?”[break][break]

what does he get? well now there was a question that had kazimir thinking for a hot minute. dragons were out of the question for obvious reasons so maybe...something else? a monferno jumped out of the trees trying to ride on top of noctis' back which caused the steel bird to suddenly take off and twirl around in the air to slam the monkey onto the ground and repeatedly peck at it. as it caught kazimir's attention his mind did lit up like a light bulb as he took out a ball and tossed it towards the chimp to capture it. "i could give you that monferno, these guys are pretty wild but good fighters. its not dragon but it hink they're pretty cool."

however a pokemon was probably the weakest thing he could offer to another fellow trainer. or...fellow guy. fellow handsome guy. "buuuuut if that don't interest you, how about a date instead? i'll treat." he put his hands behind his head as he gave a smile to the guy and let his whole body tilt to the side in a playful and questioning manner. "sound good?"[break][break]
