Scaling the verticality of Mt. Pyre was a daunting task, and one that he'd avoided doing by wing for the sole purpose of scouring the mountainside to make sure none would interrupt the dark sacrament being fomented at the summit.

Step-by-weary-step he'd climb though, noticing a lack of visitors, and a surplus of wild pokemon.

Well, since it's along the way... Adrian brandished a vacant pokeball, wondering what might catch his eyes first as he slowly creeped along the path.

Adrian wears a light frown when he notices a Ralts skulking in the shadows. It seems such a serene, innocent thing that shouldn't be left to wander alone, in the presence of so many ghastly creatures lurking just around the corner. And yet...

Already have one. Don't need another. Sorry.

Although he's sure someone would sorely appreciate the chance to trade for the little princess, Adrian wasn't willing to give up just yet. Pacing about he comes across a set of worn out stairs carved into the mountainside ages ago.

I wonder how many people have walked on these steps over the years. And how old these are.

Regular Bugs are bad enough... This thing gives me the heebie-jeebies, he remarked of Shedinja. Though it was hardly at any fault, Adrian whipped a zippo lighter from out of his pocket and held it towards the pokemon, which seemed unfazed.

Come on, go away... As he teetered closer with the lighter's fire licking dangerously close to the Shedinja's flammable husk, it still wouldn't move. So he burned it lightly, and it instantly dropped to the ground, inert. Its carapace brushed against the back of his palm as it fell, causing Adrian to drop his lighter and jump back, startled by the contact.

He'd kick the lighter further away from the singed Shedinja before plucking it off the ground, shuttering the flame with a click before stuffing it away in his pocket. I wish it'd have just moved...

The last ghostly visitor of the evening offered him a cup of tea, though Adrian hardly considered the content's of a Polteageist's insides the stuff of gourmet. So after a polite refusal he passed the creature along, continuing up the mountain.

Somewhere above, the clouds churned around Yveltal's cocoon, forever blanketed in shadow.
