IN OCTOBER — the aftermath of the war is spent rejuvenating the region. pokemon and trainers are hard at work, repairing natural landscapes, while clearing fields and mountains of macabre remnants. still, pools of poison remain where naganadel and poipole have fallen... until they are cleaned, poor unsuspecting wildlife may find themselves within these toxic traps, forcing them to become aggressive and hostile.[break][break][break]

a poisonous tangrowth has ensnared several trainers' pokemon in its vines. it's aggressive, spreading POISON POWDER to keep others at bay. however, this tangrowth has been around the block before. it seems to simply desire affection of all kinds— and should you embarrass it with affection, it will blush and release its "victims" in a coy, demure way.[break][break][break]

[attr="class","spiral"]This is ridiculous. This is more than ridiculous, it's bordering on mortifying. Even just watching her Lapras approach the rampaging Tangrowth fills Lillian with exasperation. Is this really the best method? Could they not just . . . battle it? Whatever, she's here to support the rangers and the rangers have decided this is the most surefire way to chase the thing off.

"Lapras . . . go ahead," she sighs, looking down at the ground with her face in her hands. What is she fucking doing here?

Lapras somehow manages to avoid picking up on its trainer's bafflement and instead sets eyes on the Tangrowth. It's a bit of a natural mischief maker, so the idea of messing with this Tangrowth a little to make it shove off is more funny to the pokemon than anything. A trill from the Lapras gets the wild pokemon's attention, and then it lays on the CHARM -- batting its eyelashes and singing a sweet "come hither" melody.

The Tangrowth taps its feet, seemingly stuck between a desire to listen and some kind of anxiety. A few pokemon are let go as it brings a few tendrils to its face.

While it was an odd case, the suggestion was brought out that the rampaging Tangrowth might release those it had taken and stop releasing toxins if it were showered with affection. And if that's what had to be done, then that's what had to be done. Josh sent out his Cutiefly, which was an interesting match for someone that was 6'5 and over 220 pounds.

"Draining Kiss!"

Hopefully the affection might knock it out in the process.

Rouge wasn't one of Ruby's more common pokemon, but they were perfectly suited for this particular endeavor. They wanted someone to fluster the Tangrowth instead of traditionally battle it? Well, they were certainly going to get it. Sending out the Jynx, Ruby simply stepped back and let the pokemon work their... magic?

The Jynx danced back and forth for a few seconds, glancing out across the field to see the Tangrowth and all its vines. Slowly moving forwards, Rouge blew a LOVELY KISS as they approached. It certainly was... quite a terrifying face, if Ruby had to be honest. There was a reason she stayed in the box most of the time. Her affection was genuine, true, but to an uncomfortable level.

Night had descended upon the region and severao people were still trapped within the tangrowth's clutches. Acquainted with the Tangrowth's desires Lucas released his Frosmoth.

Frosmoth painted the block with a mesmerizing aurora veil. Its shifting lights painted the surrounding buildings and set the stage for frost moth pokemon. Mustering a tailwind into existence with several strained flaps of its wings it launched itself up into the night sky in front of the tangrowth. Memorized by the performance the tangrowth looked toward Lucas' frosmoth and locked eyes with it. Frosmoth winked its eyes to attract the tangrowth and ease the bindings on the civilians.

The tangled atrocity that’s more commonly known as a Tangrowth is only regarded with an intense, judging stare that Serenity shoots at it from afar. The water-type is glaring it, her posture unwavering despite the seemingly approaching fumes of poison.

“You can stop playing with it now.”

Milotic huffed in response to her trainer before allowing her demeanor to shift in order to appeal to the grass-type and allure it. Once he’s ensnared by her CUTE CHARM, it’s over. There’s no resistance to this power that both Katherine and her pokemon seemed to hold.

And so, naturally, it releases its prisoners.
