"Just... Just don't move too much, okay?"

What Skyler meant by that was that Sirena shouldn't move at all. Plastic props were haphazardly stuck to the Lapras' shell and each time the Pokémon even so much as twitched, the hanging lights swung precariously along with the fake palm tree they were attached to.

In fact, everything in this canvas was fake - except for the drink. Which should've been fake too, except that it hadn't actually been part of the initial design. Skyler had been drinking it and just - thought it funny to simply incorporate it. Unfortunately, the back of a very annoyed Lapras wasn't the best place to place a drink, so some of it had already spilled.

With a last flourish, the sailor grinned and tapped Sirena's neck. "You look gorgeous!" And, Skyler thought, extremely annoyed too. She was sure Sirena would make her pay for this later.

Oscar said nothing as he approached the stage. In his hands was a rather large apple, or more accurately a whiny painted wooden sculpture. It didn't seem to be a pokemon, although it did have a series of holes that a pokemon could fit into. At first the stage hands thought Oscar was bringing an empty costume, but he insisted, "He's in there he's just being a pussy."

They eventually let him on, and the gruff criminal marched onto the stage with unwavering confidence. Upon reaching the stage's center, Oscar put down the apple and knocked upon it. "Alright get out. Just for thirty seconds I'll get you a real apple after." Slowly but surely a shuckle began to emerge from the apple. Its noodle limbs stuck out of the holes, giving it the appearance of a warm (or warms) in an apple. Oscar thought it was a good idea, shuckle not so much.

After giving it enough time for the judges to examine, Oscar knocked on the apple again. Shuckle immediately hid himself again. Oscar picked up the apple without a word and walked off. Hopefully he won something, this damn apple took all night to make.

dominic had unearthed a crate of decorations and accessories in the depths of the submarine from some bygone halloween party and didn't really think of the consequences of opening it in front of the pumpkin pokemon. [break][break]

the pumpkaboo had spent well over an hour selecting its outfit. even now, dominic is not quite sure what he's looking at. [break][break]

it bares its fangs at him in a display he thought was supposed to be "threatening" and then twirls its trident around awkwardly. vampire witch? some kind of devil bat? dominic squints for a long moment and ushers the pokemon on stage with the toe of his boot. [break][break]

the pumpkaboo cackles mischievously and nearly trips over its own little legs in its excitement to scare the audience with its costume. [break][break][break]

Razz has never done Halloween before, it just wasn't something that was allowed as it was viewed as childish. Even when he had his name changed and moved here he still didn't do much with it, though Salem always got into the spirit of things. He was even the one to pass out candy to the kids at their apartments when they came to his door. So when he had intention of doing it again this year Salem wasn't having it. Talk about the hard times they all went through in September and how they all deserved something fun, and thus the cat demanded he step up his game.[break][break]

It was how they ended up here now, after quite a bit of shopping and set up through the month on days she wasn't busy not only did Razz ended up having a two tone blazer and tie to dress up as Two-Face (see icon) from batman as apparently it was a show the cat enjoyed watching, but even Salem had a fun little mask and cape with a toddler's shirt the Ranger was able to find. The little cat even spent time to color his fur black to be more in theme with batman! When a contest was going to be done of course Salem was going to compete. [break][break]

As his turn was called the cat used PYSHIC to gather some of the smoke from the smoke machine to gather it into a ball before throwing it to the stage as if a Smoke Bomb. So Rather than just walking down the runway like a creature of the night he just appeared. Waving his cape to blow away the smoke from himself to show off his new costume. Salem even spoke as if he was being understood going along the lines from what his trainer could tell of '-I'm the terror that flaps in the night-' and so forth. [break][break]

Salem even goes as far as to jump on his trainer's head from the runway since he was up front when it was the cat's turn. The ranged chuckled a bit, "Oh no batman, you caught me, whatever will I do?" he jokes since he was dressed as the 'bad guy' here as his cat laughed before jumping back on stage. Once more using PSYCHIC to create a smoke bomb effect and disappearing back stage. [break][break]

His pokemon was a dork. [break][break]

Not simply the large behemoths she'd witnessed roaring in the sky high above... but one of the beauties within them. The shopping that ensued afterwards was difficult to bear for the man. They were actually super late and from the looks of they wouldn't be winning the contest on quality nor creativity. Gan already looked like a Kirby and most of the other trainers seemed to have put far more work into their costumes.

Gan the Ditto as Kirby (in 10 minutes or less)

Still his little buddy was happy. "You had fun right?" The ditto nodded hugging Sénon's leg. Despite being older than some of the trainers here Gan still retained the innocence of a child and his smile and affection showed it.

There was nothing as reassuring as the simple and dopey warm smile of a ditto. "Happy Halloween Gan."
