[attr="class","athread"] Hoenn was at peace, but it seemed that peace was as fragile as delicate china. A mere illusion covering the terrifying nature of destruction awaiting them. Ruby had been attempting to relax... but little did she know, everything was about to fall apart entirely. Right overhead where the terrifying clown had shown its face... almost one whole year ago, another wormhole began to open. Ruby's heart practically began to beat out of her chest, the sheer terror she felt that night coming back almost immediately. The sheer loss of life, the loss of innocence... There was no way she could even dare to stand by. Even as darkness began to take over the city, Ruby was already running as fast as her feet could take her, heart pounding inside her chest. Pushing aside the fear, the trauma, pushing aside all of her instincts that told her to run away, Ruby kept running. How could she consider herself the Saint of Slateport if she didn't take every step she could to defend this city and its people with every single shred of energy she had? Quickly sending out her Pokemon, Bea the Urshifu was much faster than she was. The protective Legendary scooped her up into her arms, using DETECT to avoid any attacks coming their way and dodge anything else, with this oppressive darkness. Of course, Ruby yelped in surprise, but she trusted her pokemon with her life. Bea had proven herself multiple times, she had no reason to doubt that she would fail here... But then again, she had never seen anything like this before. The sheer fear was almost overwhelming. If this is where she died, at least she would die fighting to protect people she cared about. A place she grew to call home. Finally sending out her other pokemon, Cobalt the Metagross, Ruby began shouting commands out loud. "Cobalt! MIRACLE EYE! See if you can find whatever it is in the sky!" The Metagross would mechanically turn, eyes firmly scanning with the accuracy of a supercomputer, when Ruby continued to yell. "METEOR BEAM!" The Metagross roared out loudly, as the last figments of the stars dying lights surrounded its body for a few brief moments, boosting its overall strength before firing off a space-powered beam of energy towards the terrifying shadowy beast in the sky.
