coming to someplace freezing was probably one of the craziest decisions he's made in his life. that's forgetting the fact he went around as a superhero or did a lot of crazy outdoor activities to boot. still he was feeling adventurous today and wanted to tackle another one of hoenn's crazy locale's that was a hot bed for people looking for a bit of thrill.

he did feel bad about dragging stormy along with him however, he was still a little shocked that she said yes when he asked if she wanted to join him on some cave spelunking. he told her that they were going somewhere cold after all. of course...the cold probably never bothered her anyway. "you holding up good storms? you need a jacket...or a long sleeve?" he joked as the two of them stood at the entrance to the cave, the chill air from inside spilling out and wafting over the both of them as they stood there.

She was wearing a jacket only so she wouldn't get strange looks. But she was easily bordering on overheating beneath her layers. When Kazimir had invited her on an adventure, she had more than happily agreed. The last time she'd travelled through Shoal Cave may literally have been two years ago with kyle lopez.[break][break]

Or at least, that was her most memorable recollection of the area.[break][break]

The woman grunts as she makes into the next level of the cave, planting her feet firmly against the cool ground. Her breath leaves a misty trail in the air in front of her, and she glances up at Kazimir in surprise as he asks her a question.[break][break]

"oh hardy har har. I'm fine. mostly." he could use another layer of clothes if he was being honest. however the prospect of doing some adventuring was enough to get his blood boiling and warm him up a little, it was the sounds of approaching pokemon that really got him fired up as a golett crossed their path and was looking ready for a fight. kazimir was quick to toss his ball out and send out his feraligatr who charged ahead with a hydro pump that blasted it into a wall as kazimir threw a pokeball at it to secure its capture.

as he did he gave the elite foure member a sly grin as he leaned in close. "besides. if i'm ever feeling cold i have my own personal heater riiiiight here." he grabbed her and hugged her from behind, resting a chin on her shoulder. "you'll keep me warm, right stooooormy~?"

"Are you sure? I can hear your teeth chattering from here."[break][break]

And then she mimics shivering, rubbing at her shoulders as she forces her own teeth to chatter. Mid-way through she relaxes to laugh at him and at herself, shaking her head. Kazimir's attention, as well as her own, is promptly pulled away by guests in their hallowed, icy halls. The Golette approaches and, at first, she assumes the creature to be its evolution. Turns out it was just the Pokemon's shadow looming menacingly.[break][break]

In its wake is a tiny Delibird that doesn't stand a chance to the AOE damage sustained by the hydro pump hitting the ground-type. Turns out, it had walked backward into its doom, squashed between the Golett and the wall. When Kazimir catches the Golett, the Delibird slides to the ground, flattened.[break][break]

"Oh, look--!"[break][break]

But her thought is cut short as arms curl around her and a chin rests against her shoulder. The woman gasps, a slight blush marring her cheeks as she tilts her face to glance at him. Her cheek presses against his and she chuckles, patting his hands with her own.[break][break]

"Of course I will, if you think you can handle my heat."[break][break]

Stormy tosses a Pokeball at the Delibird to confirm its capture.[break][break]

oh he could handle her flames no problem, he's done it before and he was going to remind her of that. "i'm sorry but didn't i beat you in your own gym or did i not? i think that's a good sign that i can handle you at least." plus there was some...other close calls that he did survive. even if they were hell on earth. "and i was there at meteor falls after all. trust me it'll take a lot to put me down. not even weird cannibal aliens gonna put this hero out for the count."

he had to keep thinking with a positive attitude about that whole mess less the trauma sets in. it was probably insensitive on his part but he did need to be strong, if not for himself then to make sure that it was possible for everyone else to be just as ok as he was. at least that's what he figured.

he nuzzled in deeper against her cheek to be a bit more playful when a snorunt decided to suddenly poke at him from behind with its sharp cone head and almost make kazimir jump out of his own skin at how sharp and cold it was as he let go and was rubbing his backside. "hey! ya little..." a ball was opened from his belt and his joltik took care of it with an electroweb, stunning it long enough for kazimir to throw a pokeball in retaliation at it.

She smiles, tucking her chin as he presses his cheek against hers. His nuzzling is well-received with a giggle as her nose brushes against his cheek. Not even his mention of the war could rattle her at the moment. His good mood pressing her into a warm hug was more than enough to keep her sane.[break][break]

Of course, that moment is short-lived as he jolts away from her with a yelp of surprise. She squeals herself as she side-steps away from him, watching as the Snorunt jabs him in the back with its icy spike-head.[break][break]

Not far away, another ice-type shows up to the party. Unfortunately for it, however, the little Charmander charging it doesn't stop for anything. The Snover is no match for a too-excited infant inferno. It sneezes flames and the entire tree-sprout goes up in flames. Stormy relinquishes those flames with a well-timed pokeball.[break][break]

"You okay, sweetie? You aren't catching a cold, are you?"[break][break]

as he picked up the pokeball of his newly captured pokeball he watched over the little charmander that took down its own opponent with ease. kaz couldn't help but give it a small round of applause as he but his new capture away and leaned against stormy. "another charmander? you weren't kidding about that army of charizards were you?" when she asked him if he was getting a cold he couldn't help but let out a giggle as his face quickly flushed a bit of red.

"me? oh i think i'll be fine. got a lot of warmth around me to scare one off anyway." he went to give the little charmander a pat on the head for a job well done. "right here and right here." he then almost twirled around and grabbed stormy's hand with his, the small bit of warmth it was giving off already made him feel a bit better as he held up their hands. "your my personal heater after all, remember? after all i bet this place gets colder the deeper you head in, shall we see if that's true?"

While Kazimir breaks away from her to retrieve his captured surprise, Stormy does the same, shooing away the mouthy little Charmander before the rascal could break the capsule. She scoops it into her hand and is surprised at how genuinely cold it is. However, said ball is soon tucked away and replaced with another empty one.[break][break]

But her attention, of course, zeros back in on the young man as he curls back around her. His warmth mingles with her own - though she is far, far hotter - and he chuckles anxiously over her teasing question. It pulls a smile across her lips that she makes no attempt to hide.[break][break]

"Absolutely was not kidding - I have six now, seven if you count the new guy."[break][break]

But he was a handful and a half, and he was already fully evolved.[break][break]

The Charmander mewls at the pat, positively wiggling with praise. With a puffed out chest, the little monster heads back out to find his next play-mate, more than eager to trounce someone new. Meanwhile, Stormy is taken by surprise as a hand slides into her own, raising it well above her head and effectively pulling her closer to Kazimir.[break][break]

"Am I, now? Did I sign some invisible contract?"[break][break]

Despite her teasing, the woman is blushing and smiling, shaking her head as she laces her fingers through his and gives his hand a squeeze.[break][break]

"Let's see how much cold the Pokenger can take before he's stuck to me like glue."[break][break]

the two of them went further into the depths of the caves and as they did it did in fact get colder and colder as they went down. it made kazimir regret not bringing a jacket a little bit. Still he had stormy to help with that but it was really freezing, itdd be embarrassing if he suddenly started to show weakness in front of her, she would tease him non-stop! so he decided to lean in closer to her, hoping she wouldn't notice anything suspicious. maybe a topic to talk about would help let him warm up a bit off of her without her noticing too much, there was a recent event that they both went through after all although...if it was even an ok topic to talk about was still a mystery.

then again mysteries were meant to be discovered right? and he still needed to give her an apology for something he didn't even think of during the time.

"hey sorry i couldn't be there for ya during the war. i saw moltres flying around but i kinda rushed in to stop those cannibals at the source. probably should have brought a lot more back up for that. ya didn't get chewed on did you?" it wasn't something that kazimir himself talked about personally himself. while the day was won in their favor he did sort of have a bit of a...for the sake of not sounding selfish; breakdown near the end of it.

further down the path a spheal was rolling down towards them, luckily his joltik was still resting in his pocket and managed to intercept it with another electroweb on the floor. kaz shot a quick glance at the direction of the little ball of blubber and slipped out a pokeball and lobbed it at the spheal. stormy might appreciate a small little cutie like this one.

Oh, she notices. Her lip quirks briefly as she fights to hide her amusement, and she slowly, innocently moves her hand from his to his arm to allow him more surface area touching her arm. She was sort of hugging his arm one-armed, pressing closer to him in order to help share her body heat.[break][break]

But he brings up the war and her mood sinks just a bit, her grip on his arm relaxing momentarily as she glances at him. She breathes in slowly but deeply, staring straight ahead and toward the wild Pokemon approaching. A Spheal and Vanillite, it seemed. She tilts her head as the rotund Pokemon barrels forward.[break][break]

"No, no. I'm all good. A few bumps and bruises, nothing too major."[break][break]

She lifts her hand to her forehead, however, pausing as her fingertips brush the still-healing cut hidden in her hairline. The bruising around it had faded for the most part, so setting her hair a certain way hid it fairly well.[break][break]

The Charmander races after the Vanillite while Kazimir's Joltik stops the Spheal in its tracks. Together, the two Pokemon claim victories, and Stormy tosses another loose pokeball at the tiny ice cream cone. It was giving her mad mint chocolate cravings.[break][break]

"I'm glad you're okay, all in one piece."[break][break]
