Billi stared at the pokemon that were released from their pokeballs. Many of them were large in stature and keeping their pride high and walking around almost as if they owned the mountain. “Hahaha I don’t really have a lot of big pokemon ya know,” he grinned, “They kinda are just bugs and are sweet. I have a steelix but he’s not coming out on top of the mt pyre,” Billi laughed lightly. The blonde sat down on the soft vibrant grass.[break][break]

He shrugged and thought, “Only as difficult as you make it! But I guess I live in pokemon chaos all the time. I don’t like keeping my bugs in pokeballs. They are living creatures after all,” He grinned, “And their well behaved I think, at least not destructive.” he nodded, “Think of it like...pokemon have things they like so you do what they like and they’ll grow to love you, even if they are predators. Like my spiders. They are big and scary but you feed them fresh meat and give them belly rubs and wash their mandibles and they're happy.” Billi thought about his pokemon, but just kept his Corviknight out who was pecking at the ground trying to find a big ol snack.

“Only as difficult as you make it!" Billi said, and Zac nodded along, listening as the blonde talked about how he takes care of his pokemon.

"That's some really good advice." Zac said, when Billi had finished talking. He looked over at where his pokemon were playing in the rocks and long grass, and then down at Zappa who was napping next to him, presumably too full of cake to play with the others.
The little lizard glowed softly, lighting up the bank with his warm yellow light.

But how do you translate that happiness to respect? Where do you draw that line between play and work? Zac wanted to ask, but that felt too personal. That wasn't an interview question, that was just him venting his own frustration in the form of a question.

"Pokemon sure are more like us than we realize sometimes, aren't they?
Just give 'em what they want and they'll be happy." He laughed, looking down the slope of Mt Pyre. The rocky ridges were growing warm, sunset edges.

"So one last question, before we wrap up Billi. I promised we'd start slow, but this last one is a real doozy."

"What makes you happy?"

How...did he do that? How did he draw the line between the two? Sure he had fun on his job and he was constantly everywhere, but at the same time the stories he was covering as of late were...controversial, brave, and warfront related. Even more recently the death of Annie Mei. A sad realization, but Billi was blessed with the ability to talk genuinely to people everywhere, and swallow his own feelings and help others. It was a curse and blessing in one tiny little camera.[break][break]

“It’s taken a long time. Especially after the raid. Everything I’ve covered…...hasn’t been short of devastated.” he took a deep breath, “I’ve seen a meat farm, people crushed by tentacles, losing friends, pokemon hurt, and even more so the ravages of war, heck I’ve sent my pokemon to escort people out of the city prior to the battle of lilycove……..so...i’d say not well,” he frowned a bit looking at the sky, “Just….drowning myself in my passions, and to distract myself I’ve taken up learning how to sow, using my bug pokemon for the resources.” he grinned, taking another deep breath.[break][break]

Looking back at the camera, “But it’s all worth it….and I don’t regret fighting for Lilycove….but it’s my home and I love the city,” he paused “I try...to think about everyone’s feelings before my own. So I guess the person who I neglect the most...is myself,” he gave a laugh letting his hands grab at the cool grass as he inhaled the warm yet cool air.[break][break]

The last question took Billi off guard and gave a blank stare into the sky. Soul searching for the answer that he couldn’t find. Sure he radiated positive joyful energy, but would he say that when he goes home, that he’s happy. Probably not. He’d say he’s surviving, and that his pokemon make him feel happy, but it’s not the state of life like the man is probably assuming. “I like my pokemon and travelling and meeting people, and that just makes me happy, so I’m fairly content.” he paused and stared at the man, clearly covering his lie up well with previous statements.

“I try...to think about everyone’s feelings before my own. So I guess the person who I neglect the most...is myself,” Billi said, laughing, and Zac nodded seriously.

“I like my pokemon and travelling and meeting people, and that just makes me happy, so I’m fairly content.”
The words sounded sincere coming from the blonde, but Zac felt there was something missing.
"I'm glad to hear that," he said, instead of pushing it. "You've got a wonderful life going here Billi. I'd be a bit jealous if I hadn't had a chance to share a little bit of it with you today."

Zac let the silence sit for a few moments before he leaned over and turned off the camera.

"It isn't often you find someone who knows what they want. Knows what makes them happy," he said.
"It's easy enough to tell what others need. Your pokemon need meat, or battle, or love. You can see it in the way they interact. So you feed 'em and train 'em give 'em your time. Boom. They're happy."

"People can be the same. You can see what someone needs just from being around them long enough. But unless your a narcisict or a monk, you spend most of your life looking outwards, not inwards.

Zac looked over at his new friend Billi. "I lied before, mate. Turns out I have one last question in me for today." He made no move to turn the camera back on.

"I don't think you're seeking happiness or contentment.
I'm glad you found them, but I think what you're really after is distraction." Zac held up his hands in a defensive motion. "I may be wrong, but your city was attacked. Recently. And there's no hiding you've been through a lot.
Are you dealing with that, or just avoiding thinking about it as much as possible?"

"So here's my last question, and you don't need to answer it here and now. It's for you, not me."

"Where does your pokemon journey end?"
