Andy wasn't wrong. Hoenn was becoming a stranger place day-by-day, it seemed. With the appearance of literal (so-called) gods and armies from other planes of existence, one could be forgiven for taking a glance at current events and believing it was the end of times.[break][break]

It was almost amusing, in all honesty. He finally gathers the willpower to leave his country, his princely duties, and his family behind, only to find himself mired with a whole new list of problems here in Hoenn. If it was truly the end times, he only wished the destruction of this world hastened its pace— all of this exhausting, and if it was all for naught then he might as well be put out of his misery now.[break][break]

Remiel had come informed when he'd set off to free Andy from juvenile detention. That included knowing the barebones of his living situation, but he knew there had to be more beneath the surface of that address and his aunt's contact information. To hear she was a drunk that likely wasn't fit to look after Andrew in the first place was disappointing, to say the least. He didn't know there were others looking after the boy, however.[break][break]

"Reggie and... uncle? Your dossier said nothing of the two." He noted, looking over at the boy.[break]

''Gengar.'' The index finger of his three digits reached to poke at the tea cup. ''Finally decided to stop sleuthing, eh? Top work back there, even if you botched it at the end.'' Its prod stopped midway as it shot an annoyed glance at Andy. ''Gengaaaar,'' the pokemon protested.

A butler Ribombee? He'd certainly heard of that before, but he never would have imagined one coming into the possession of Andy Blackadder and his family. They were in the same class as Sinistea, Mr. Mime, and Indeedee, after all. Highly sought after attendants... and, for that reason, quite expensive. The only service pokemon that dwarfed their price were Gardevoir and Gallade.[break][break]

Regardless, the ease in which the boy had accepted his Sinistea's presence made sense now. He was used to having a pokemon flitting to and fro, making itself useful to its master and any of their guests. What the prince truly hadn't expected to hear, however, was the predicament the boy's uncle found himself in. Or, rather, the uncle's spirit.[break][break]

Andy's got his full, shocked attention at this point. His hand pulls away from his chin, and his head tilts itself incredulously. "That's a curse— and one of the worst amidst the archaeological community. How in the blazes did—" He stopped there, briefly recalling his ancestor's own imprisoned soul in the heart of a Doublade. Before he can continue, a Gengar emerges in the car.[break][break]

"Are you alright, sir?" The chauffeur inquiries, having heard Remiel's muttered expression, but rearing his head when the corner of his eye spots the mist-like purple entity. Earl Grey himself is quick to realize what it is, and hovers up into the air once more to greet the ghost.[break][break]

"Quite. Eyes front, Chundley. We don't want an accident."[break][break]

"V-Very well, sir. We shall be at Slateport Airport shortly."

When an attempted poke comes his way, Earl Grey dips down to avoid it, and swiftly maneuvers itself over to Remiel's shoulder instead. The royal seems amused. "You musn't get into too much trouble with your Ghost-type, now. There are mutterings amidst the Hoennian government of restricting them for capture, due to their... mischievous natures." And their myriad of uses in crime, of course.[break]

It was noted that he was being taken to the airport. Typically, the boy always traveled via his trusty yanmega, but he didn't expect Remi to know that. In uncharacteristic charity he wouldn't gripe about something being offered freely. After all, he could still be back in the bowels of League HQ in even hotter water for his jail break.

The interaction with his driver made him wonder if it was how he would act were he a prince, or even as wealthy as the royal family. He considered it likely since he already threw his weight around when it suited him. The chiding was a good distraction from his uncle's dire situation, but alas, it was one that was irreversible.

''Oh, don't worry. I have ways to make sure they can't take possession of my pokeballs.'' Speaking of which, ''gen. Gengaaar. Gengar.'' The ghost motioned to his innards and his toothy face looked concerned and uncomfortable. ''Oh. Right. Shit...'' He recalled that Epitaph had escaped confiscation by consuming his own pokeball.

''Uh.'' A mild disgust creased his face. ''Don't worry. I'll... I'll get it later.'' To be fair, it wouldn't be the first time he had had to collect something from the gengar's... ectoplasm... He felt it best to change the subject to something less fecal. ''Ambassador,'' the tone of his voice was almost proper at first.

''This is Epitaph, the first pokemon I ever caught. He...'' There was a struggle to hold back a laugh. ''He shits pokeballs.'' The gengar looked so done with him. ''Geeengar!''

The Gengar's simplistic sign language was easily interpreted by Remiel. He smiled slightly, not a trace of envy toward the unsavory task he assumed Andy had ahead of him. It would be relatively easy, of course, to have Earl Grey pour his own ectoplasm into the Gengar's mouth and retrieve whatever was inside it before returning. But their meeting was practically over, and he was sure neither pokémon would enjoy the experience anyway.[break][break]

In all honesty, however, the royal hadn't expected Andy's next confession at all. Remiel had many Ghost-type pokémon in his possession. Aside from Dragon-type pokémon, Ghost-types were the kind of pokémon he resonated the most with, having encountered many of them during archaeological expeditions and strolls through the historic streets and underground chambers of Hammerlocke. He knew some of them to involuntarily leave behind ectoplasmic... residue. But for one to actually process waste in such a manner?[break][break]

He'd never owned a Gengar. So far, he only had experience with its younger evolutions. But this revelation certainly caused him to blink in mild surprise and confusion. Even Earl Grey looked stunned.[break][break]

"We are here, Your Royal Highness," Chundley the chauffeur let them know as the car pulled to a stop in front of the bustling Slateport Airport. "Please remain seated. I shall get the door and retrieve Master Blackadder's belongings." He nodded, exiting the driver's seat before making his way around.[break][break]

"It would appear our meeting has come to its end, Andy," Remiel speaks, saved from his stupor by their arrival. Pulling out his wallet, he reaches into it before producing a plane ticket and a business card. "Gate A7. I've arranged for a driver to pick you up from Evergrande Airport and escort you safely to your aunt's address. They'll be holding a sign with your name on it." He informs him, handing over the two articles of paper.[break][break]

"And I'll send over the literature I promised within the next day or so," He adds, noting Andy's door as it is opened by their driver. His sharp, indifferent eyes shift over to the boy afterwards. "Keep in touch. There are a great many discoveries to be had in Hoenn, but they each come with a myriad of dangers as well. You should know that you are not alone in your endeavors for the truth."[break]

It didn't seem as if the older male believed him for a moment. He wasn't sure what caused such scrutiny. Perhaps he couldn't comprehend why the boy would so readily stoop to such a unhygienic method to secure his escape. Of course it was no less extreme than any movie or story about regular prison and the unsavory method of smuggling within.

None the less, any questions indignant or otherwise would have to wait as the Rolls arrived at its destination. The driver's announcement drew him from his thoughts. He wondered if he could fly Ravana from here without causing too much trouble for air traffic. But then not only had the ambassador driven him here, he had arranged a flight as well.

''Damn,'' he started, looking rather stunned. ''Never let anyone say Galar don't look after it's people.'' It was more than he would say for Hoenn. Taking the ticket and card in hand, a sheepish smirk crosses his face. ''Thanks Mister Ambassador. I'll be sure to hit you up and try not to make it until the next time I am up to my knees in shit.'' He climbed out.

''Come on Taph. I hope you can hold it until we get home.'' The gengar looked annoyed with his trainer, but followed along. ''Gengar...'' Andy touched his finger to his temple in a gesture of farewell. It was far nicer than his typical one fingered parting salute. ''Cherrio. Can't wait to check out those books.''
