Should you break down the walls, perhaps, you'll find treasures to take home for yourselves. In order to receive a treasure, you must fully reveal it by breaking all the tiles they are contained in; however, you can only break down 3 tiles per floor. So, choose which tiles to break wisely![break][break][break]

If a tile says requests for a type, all moves used must be of that type unless otherwise specified. If a tile asks for a particular power value, you must hit that value exactly (e.g. total 260 - all of your moves added together, must total 260 power).[break][break][break]

wolfgang goes into the cave first, a regional variant of a ninetales following him as they go in. there's nothing much to look at on first glance, but he was promised that there would be treasure in.

he'd file a complaint about this if his expectations weren't met.

he looks at the ninetales, noticing that the darkness of the caverns overwhelming the pitiful lights that come with the explorer kit's helmet. there were stronger flashlights to be used, he supposed, but he got the bad end of the bargain when he got to a spat with the person handing out the kits.

"dazzling gleam," he orders the ninetales.

it manages to light up the room quite nicely, revealing the cracks for the other members of this group to actually dig on.

"It smells down here. And it's wet."

Her nose crinkles as she readjusts the ancient technology strapped to her forehead. It's absolutely ruining her perfectly coifed hair. Sabine sighs, exasperated, as the white-haired young man takes charge. Her attention lingers on the beautiful specimen trailing after him, all beautiful tails and chilly breath.

She, on the other hand, is left with a drooling, wrinkly-faced smelly dog, and it is abundantly clear that she isn't satisfied with her Pokemon.

When the dazzling gleam illuminates the room, she waves her hand towards the Granbull.

"Do something, I don't know. We're looking for pretty things, not that you would know anything about that."

The Granbull stares blankly back at her, but eventually shuffles off to play rough against the wall, attempting to dislodge whatever treasure might lie beneath.

Novak was excited to search for whatever it was that the megalopolans were digging for under Meteor Falls. It had always been a site of intrigue and history, and somehow the aliens knew something that the humans didn't, searching here.

He'd heard the accounts of a strange red and blue Pokemon emerging during the war, and he was excited.

Two others had joined him in this endeavor, one man quiet except to order his Pokemon and the other vocal about her complaints. Novak ignores both of them except for a curt nod of greeting. He can't think of a reply to the woman, and if the other guy doesn't want to talk, he'll oblige him.

"Disarming Voice," he commands Yarrow, the Kirlia that silently trailed him into the dig site. It wasn't silent for much longer, though, as he let out a cry. Novak didn't know why the suggestion of using sound moves while mining was helpful, something about resonance frequencies? Oh well. He'd see if it worked.

Rocket was scraping the bottom of the barrel when they sent a hard request for him to participate in this field excavation. Try as he might to be left alone in his lab, if he took up enough resources and yielded so few results they would send their little requests to put him into the field. It was simply to reach for a monopoly on the assets to be discovered.

Logistically, it was better that Rocket agents come into finding something worthwhile than League officers. So here he was, in spite of his own machinations.

He was the last of the four to reach the starting level, his faithful entourage in tow. The three metamon he couldn't trust to be left behind in the lab, nor could he put them away with their pokéballs in malfunction. Luckily, in their endless waltz of bickering they didn't take much space forming a tight blob tumbling over itself; two parts indigo and one part shiny neon blue.
Following himself directly was (

) Iessan, chaste and genteel, ready to assist in whatever way possible.

Adjusting the modulation on his regulator he checked the wall his contemporaries had already begun to work on. With large fractures it seemed weak enough that the four of them might have been able to simply push it down. One more subtle attack would suffice to bring it down.

Kneeling down to the Iessan Whys spoke to him like asking a favor from an equal. "Can you use your disarming voice..." he even touched the wall in a place that looked most fragile. "-right along here?"

As the wall caved he would turn to look to the three who had been waiting on him. "Good Evening." It was dry, and it wasn't an apology, but it was better than nothing, right?

he recalls the ninetales in favor of another pokemon. with movements that directly convey his impatience, the switch comes as snappy and the chandelure replaces the ice-type's position in the field.

the greeting gets wolfgang to turn his head swiftly. "huh?!" only then does he get a clear visual on the people he's with. "good eve," he answers back with a grunt before turning back, his voice forcibly hushed as if make sure the aggression of his usual tone is muted.

the sounds of pokemon beyond the wall doesn't excite wolfgang, and if anything, it worries him. he hopes at least one of the people in his group knew their way with pokemon battles should push come to shove with the looming threat of a wild pokemon attack.

"energy ball," he orders his chandelure.

the ghost-type conjures a ball of energy in front of it before it blasts the wall with it, cracking the wall's defenses with an initial blow to make it easier for the follow up attacks to break through.

"What? Are you all too manly to talk to one another? Too afraid of ones britches being bigger than the others?"

She glances about at the three of them and their mutual grunting, using gutteral tones instead of human words. Their Pokemon step around her and each other to handle the digging, ultimately doing more of the hard work even than anyone else in these tunnels. She scoffs, turning away.

Their lack of chatter disappoints and frustrates her, and as much as she tries to hide that, it's impossible given the eerie glow of her helmets flashlight casting distorted shadows on her face.

Everyone else swaps their Pokemon, and she does as well, exchanging the Granbull for a Toucannon. It settles on her extended arm and she appears uncomfortable by the weight, and surprised that the bird even had the audacity. It sprays bullet seeds at the wall, pinging stones away as they make contact. The process sprays mud back, staining her cheek.

Her gasp of disgust is loud.

The most outspoken among them broke the ice with a heavy handed crassness that caused Whys to stare at her for a moment.

People who spoke without filters, without concern for tact or consequence always struck him as interesting; worth being studied. It was only after he studied her blankly that the softness of her skin and the challenge in her eyes registered to his mind.

"Wouldn't it be a waste of thought to lament parts of yourself you cannot change?" He stepped closer to the woman as if to engage her in a bit of debate. "Besides, isn't the rhythm between two more important than the size of just one?" He studied her eyes unyielding and unoffensive, or so he intended.

It wasn't his intention to stare into her jaded gaze not unlike a perverted man might have stared at her chest or lips. The meeting or emerald and lavender causing a time lapse in the professor's mind. When he snapped back to he couldn't tell if he was distracting her or if she was distracting him.

"Mr. Manchester..." It sounded like the lead in to ask a question of the other but in actuality it was simply the Kantonian remembering that he knew this man. Their similar hair colors and stations sometimes causing them to be mistaken for one another.

Acting along with the team he returned Iessan to his pokeball and in his place Kokoromori. Checking its wings for damage Whys soon enough would ask it to help himself and others with the excavation by using a well placed ENERGY BALL.

Novak, behind Sabine, rolled his eyes at her disappointment that nobody was willing to make conversation. Some people were here to actually do work, not socialize pointlessly.

"Sorry," said Novak anyways as he sent out his Tangrowth. "I'm just really interested in what's happening here. Novak..." he hesitated, glancing around the four of them. He recognized Wuuko Whysteria as a rocket member, since he was a researcher too, but not the other two, so he stuck to the safe last name. "Novak Hadfield. Nice to meet all of you."

Their digging was yielding some results, it seemed. Novak saw a vase, and some shiny thing sticking out from behind another rock. "Hmm. Giga Drain, Wisteria."

The Tangrowth targeted the wall with his draining energy, seeking to tear away more stone and dirt.

When the second wall caved Whys moved on the third without waiting to see what spoils they'd wrought.

Someone else could tally up and divide the earnings, now that he was here he simply wanted to explore the depths.

His glance cut to and then away from their most feminine member. If she didn't insist on making herself a distraction it would have been rude and sexist to linger on her as such.

Recalling the Kokoromori back to its resting place an earnest little Dumbber would take its place, the first to serve up a damaging blow on their next targeted area. Once more he guided the attack of his pokemon with precise finger placement before again asking for its help rather ordering it.

"Can you use your ZEN HEADBUTT right here?" Without further convincing the steel-type focused its mind before smashing its head into the area the Professor suggested.

One young man apologizes, and the other one steps up to bat. The lavender-haired young man steps closer, prompting Sabine to lift her chin and look into his eyes, challenging his position with her own piercing gaze.

But what he says quite honestly impresses her, pulling her lips up into a lazy, amused smirk.

"The rhythm between two, hmm? What an interesting thought. Perhaps I'd have to see it to believe it?"

She blinks, cheeky, and only pulls her attention away when the time calls for it. The next obstacle had fallen and a new direction was being taken. The man beside her steps away first to tackle the wall, allowing his Pokemon to slam into it with its head.

Her own Pokemon, a Spiritomb, performs a shadow ball. It blasts the walls apart briefly, leaving space to for the others to attack.

Novak had to admit, the professor's response seemed to have a receptive audience. So help him Arceus. He was here to work, not socialize or hit on people.

However, he perked back up at the mention of his last name. It was the professor, who had seemed to finally have recognized him. Good, but he really didn't need to be exposed in front of unknown people, especially after he'd already provided a different last name.

He thought himself a good liar, after testing that quality out with Rocket. But that only applied when he'd had time to prepare what he was going to say. When he winged it, he noticed that his success was much less guaranteed. Luckily, this lie was one he'd already thought about prior to this event. Using two names would do that to a person.

Anyways, back to the task at hand. Speaking of people who were lazing about and not contributing...

"Pumpkin, quit lurking and help us," he directed. A few seconds later, the shape of a Gourgeist melted out of the shadows with a cackle, assaulting the wall with a Seed Bomb. Hopefully the suddenness and the loud noises wouldn't startle anyone.

everyone did their introductions, so wolfgang only found it appropriate that he probably should as well. "wolfgang volkov," he tells them, a name that would maybe ring a bell for older members of rocket of the kanto days.

his head turns to the only woman in their group, body still facing towards the objective. "if someone starts a conversation i can actually participate in, then maybe there would be more talking from me."

he's not going to indulge in philosophical talk about rhythm and lamenting on things. there's just enough beating around the bush that he can handle, and anything that doesn't relate to anything tangible just wasn't easy enough for him to talk about.

"dazzling gleam," he orders the ninetales again.

the pokemon repeats the move again. flash effects and all, it does manage to finally do its job and crack open the wall for them to move onwards and continue on their trip.
