after the ultra beast war, hoenn begins to heal. the megalopolan invasion may have failed; however, it is clear there is much more at stake. a prophecy revolving around a cyclical meteoroid, the appearance of necrozma and a dangerous and viral alien threaten the safety of the region once more.
with rocket's new boss, the resurgence and reappearance of the crime syndicate's presence is imminent. the league has done its best to repair its reputation, and with the victory of a war under their belt, perhaps it is enough. but the seeds of distrust have already been sown in the ravaged land of this region, causing many to wonder what will grow?
As twilight overtook him, the scene became one all too familiar to Adrian: Waning sunlight through the canopy of foliage claiming dominion over the wilderness surrounding Foretree, the cacophony of rustling leaves and intermittent cries of pokemon.
He'd caught Reign, his first Corviknight, somewhere nearby; perhaps in an adjacent route.
The memory of Reign was enough to evoke a sense of longing and remorse, despite the pokemon's volatile behavior under his care. Adrian was tired of feeling guilty over their deaths, but what choice did he have? To blame himself came as natural as blaming... ...The world? Fate? Circumstance?
He sought somewhere to lay his blame. Something to work towards. ...Something to change. But for now, he could settle for a momentary respite...Dark/Normal spawns. (0/3)
As the light finished fading, Adrian caught a glimpse of glowing emerald eyes leering at him from the tree line, reflecting the dull glow of the setting sun and the purple night sky hanging overhead. What the fuck's that? He stood frozen.
Eventually it passed across the route while he stood still, and he was able to see it plainly for the Purrloin it was. Great, even more bad luck.
Just what I needed. He'd pass it by undeterred.Skipping Dark/Normal spawn. (1/3)
Perhaps his luck hadn't completely soured, a conclusion drawn when he encounters a rarity of sorts; an Eevee sprawled out at the road's edge, its deep brown eyes reflecting green in the night.
It freezes up at seeing him lingering nearby, but makes little other movements. As he reaches for a pokeball however, the pokemon is quick to flee.
'S#%! get back here-! Adrian gives chase.
"Sleuth, go!" A pokeball is held skyward before bursting in a radiant splendor, unleashing a Sneasel that quickly finds itself on unfamiliar ground. But as Adrian's urgent cries rattle it out of its stupor, it is quick to fixate on the fleeing, scampering Eevee.
As it inevitably caught up to the Eevee, it aimed a SLASH at its rear legs, hampering its movements before pinning the creature as its limp slowed it to a crawl. It held it there, waiting. Perhaps hoping...
"That's enough." Adrian remained calm yet stern. Demanding. But he was clearly testing the creature's patience for a trainer's antics, as it seemed to consider Eevee a choice snack...
The pokeball he'd thrown would deny Sleuth the chance to disobey, safely securing the Eeevee.Capturing Eevee! Thanks :pog:
