Expand her horizons? Was he taking her to the next plane? It wasn’t a bluff after all. Here it was. Death. The smile faded as it settled in; the acceptance. She made a point to really feel her final breath as she wondered about the afterlife. Was this it? A curious mind like hers was interested, if nothing else, in that. An escape from an earthly prison. Bars or not, that’s what it was. Her smile did fade, but not to a frown. It was a strange look; almost one of sick excitement, even as his CALM MIND attempted to pry and bring out the worst. Just like his had not been a bluff, nor had her confidence. There was no more fear in this woman left to drag out. Perhaps no more sanity, either. Granted, she was unable to think or speak through the mental chaos, but she stood fast, even as the shield shattered around her. And then, as he had set out to do weeks prior, he took everything from her—even the breath, right out of her body. Lulu collapsed to the ground, never even having looked at the thing that did it. He would see the light leave her eyes as they stared at him incessantly, just to prove her point. Her boldness knew no bounds. Her three pokemon had no chance to stop it. The attacks were in an unbroken sequence, and the power coming off the origin demanded that nothing step in its way. Frantically, the frosmoth went for a GIGA DRAIN, targeting whatever was nearest and attempting to reroute some of it to Lulu. It hovered closer to her, bravely guarding her body. The blaziken went to do the same, bracing. The klefki, on the other hand, had taken to hiding in her coat, where it was normally kept. However, like a cat standing beneath a curtain, its logic was faulty, and another PROTECT that flashed around them would reveal it was still there.
