Baby Battle! [battle]
POSTED ON Jan 11, 2021 12:15:04 GMT
"A mere coincidence, Zachary Rabarbaracle," Chryssa called back arrogantly, pulling up next to the half-swimming man like a pirate vessel preparing to open cannon fire. "I was scouring these seas myself for unfortunates, and unfortunately for you it seems I've dredged one up." A flash of white light, and a Pokemon plopped into the water. He floated awkwardly, his round head bobbing like a buoy just above the surface with his stubby wings cupped to keep him afloat. He seemed mortified. "Defend yourself from my minion if you can!" Chryssa called, pointing directly at Zac. "Attack with Leafage, Iver!" Still floating, looking embarrassed at his predicament, the bird sculled his wings in the water. A cloud of greenery formed around him, which then pelted towards the enemy. 0/3
298Tr9tk LEAFAGE (DAMAGE)
Rowlet used Leafage! Rowlet took no second action (cannot attack twice on first turn)
MECHANICS (TESTING)
You have 2 actions per post: Damage, Status, Buff, Dodge, Heal
The Pokemon must have applicable moves to support these actions. Dodge includes using defense or evasion moves to weaken/endure an attack, essentially rendering it ineffective. Buff and Status will give you +10 or your opponent -10 to your/their next roll, depending on the attribute selected. If you attempt a Damage or Status attack, please roll. *You cannot make two Damage attacks on your first turn. 1-9: Your attack can be dodged as a free action. Your opponent can still use both their full actions afterwards. 10-49: Your attack can be dodged as a single action. Your opponent can still use one action afterwards. 50-89: Your attack can only be dodged as a full-round action (using both actions). Otherwise, it hits. 90-100: Your attack automatically succeeds and cannot be dodged or weakened. If you attempt to Heal, please roll on this table instead. 1-9: The heal is interrupted or fails. 10-49: You heal 1, but lose one action next turn (or choose to fail) 50-89: You heal 1 successfully. 90-100: You heal 2. After a Pokémon has been successfully Damaged 3 times, they will faint. Switching a Pokemon out does not reset this total. SPECIAL CIRCUMSTANCESAbilities: The effect of Pokemon abilities will be defined and agreed upon by both parties before the battle. Last Stand: In a final showdown (both trainers on their last Pokemon where the next successful hit will decide the match) a player may choose to initiate their Last Stand and make a special Counterattack directly vs their opponent's winning attack. The higher total roll will take priority and win the standoff. Initiating a Last Stand will immediately end the battle upon resolution, but both Pokemon will faint.
