"No." Was called back, Chu-e's voice sticky with sickness. He was holding onto a trashcan, which had been stolen from the hallway, like a lifeline. There would be hell to pay to whoever thought an undersea base was a good idea. The price would be cleaning up all the various puke piles than Chu-e would no doubt leave behind in his visits here.

Yet, still, Chu-e tosses out a pokeball of his own when @olso did. A sweet and pink Audino, all fluff and sweetness as he stared down the larger than life pokemon across from him. For his part, the normal type didn't seem too intimidated; Chu-e had been teaching him well in the short time he had managed to get his hands on the pokemon. But, while Malche had been taught to school his emotions, he hadn't actually been in any battles; let alone attempted to use the Mega Stone. Chu-e didn't really know how his pokemon would hold up.

"So I just... concentrate really hard, touch my key-thing, and then this will work?" The instructions were kind of vague. Especially since Chu-e had never done this before. Even if he spoke, his eyes were on the Tyrantrum. An impressive beast. Chu-e had never liked pokemon that were more 'brutish', but he could practically taste the power wafting off this one. Remiel had picked a nice partner to have, in his opinion.

"A bond... well, I ain't had Malche long enough to be facilitating much of anything." Shrugging, Chu-e sighed as he tried to riddle this out. "Guess we'll have to try willpower?"

Idly, he reached up and touched the piercing.

It was funny, even if Chu-e wasn't aware of it, that Remiel Calcifet was at least vaguely aware of Chu-e's battle skills. Or, old skills. His new pokemon had not yet been trained up to the same levels of violence as his Kanto team. Even with Mega evolution, the inexperience of his pokemon plus his own rust of his skills may be a bit underwhelming for the other.

But.... well, that didn't mean he wouldn't give it his all, right?

Closing his eyes, Chu-e tried to concentrate as hard as he could. On what? He didn't know, really. On Malche? He thought of the Audino, of the limited time they had spent together, of how soft his big ears were when pet and how he separated out the shapes of his food before eating it....

When Chu-e opened his eyes, there was nothing. He pouted. "Man, Cillian Quinn made this look so easy when I saw him do it... He grumbled.

It seemed the battle was starting.

Chu-e listened well, Remiel Calcifet's words doing nothing to dampen his spirit. He would master this. He wouldn't stop until this was something that was an easy as breathing, even with pokemon that Chu-e wasn't as bonded with, just like Malche. For now, however, he also wouldn't lay back and allow his pokemon to be defeated. Even if he didn't win this battle, Remy would't be allowed to leave saying it had been a disappointment.

Malche shudders and steps back from the sudden blast of rock between them. "No, Malche." Chu-e calls out to the Audino. "Face this head on. Simplify it!" Since his pokemon was still new, Chu-e would have to call out some of the moves. This put him at a slight disadvantage, unfortunately, but his bond wasn't strong enough yet for them to read each other non-verbally. Someday, but not now.

Still, Malche did take a breath and step forward at the command, seeming a bit more sure of himself. He started the larger pokemon down, at least what he could see from the barrier of rocks between them, before rushing in. Malche tried to dash and scale the sharp rocks, pricking his paws as he did so to climb to a better perch. Then he let out a shriek, the sound unnatural like grating nails on a chalkboard. A pulse of white energy left his mouth as he did so, the Simple Beam being shot soundly at Blackjaw.

Clever!

But before Chu-e could finish his attack, from what might have been one of the vent shafts, a powerful laser shot out, zig zagging across the battle field, tearing up the rocks, the floor, making a gnarled print. It knocked the unsuspecting Audino to the ground, making the pokemon cry out and lay still in the chaos, before going for Blackjaw.

When it was over, had done whatever damage to Blackjaw it may or may not do, Chu-e stood there in a stunned silence, peering at Remiel Calcifet.

"What the fuck was that?"

Did the ship... normally just attack people?

But, his attention was drawn to Malche as he whined, the pokemon trying to push himself up to his feet. There was a huff of determination in the pink pokemon's eyes. Sneak attacks from unknown sources or not, it looked like he wanted to continue the battle.

Well.

Chu-e would wait for Remy's input before moving next. See if the other still wanted to keep going.

"Hey, seriously, does that usually happen?" Chu-e already hates this sub and the sudden attack makes him feel antsy. If he was going to have to stay on this thing, he didn't want to have to invest in more than some seasickness medicine.

While Malche would like to continue the battle, and Chu-e would like to try and finish this little experiment, he also has bigger fish to fry here. Like, that's wasn't normal, was it? And Remiel Calcifet was an Admin in Rocket. Was he not more worried about what could have been an attempt on his life?

What the hell was going on?

Malche, huffing, rubbed the smears of dirt from his face, eyes set hard at the vent.

He did not wait on his trainer to give a command.

How dare whatever had assaulted him... do that!

Chu-e could feel it, the hum in his ear from his piercing, and the Audino glowed white as he digivolved Mega Evolved.

Gaining in height and power, Malche stared down Blackjaw. He might not have known what had attacked him but he could certainly take it out on this other pokemon.

"We should probably look into that?" Chu-e asked, more a question than anything. Right now, he hadn't had a promotion. Right now, he was still just an ex-beast who had joined back into the fold. He didn't have the power to have them just sending Grunts into the vents over spooky sounds. But, soon.

But, then's it forgotten for the moment, because Malche doesn't want to leave well enough alone.

The Audino charges right back at Blackjaw, meeting the attack head on. It stings more then he expects, his new typing making the attack hurt worse, but he just grits his teeth and tries to use a Disarming Voice at point blank range on the other pokemon.

The fairy-wail is high pitched and alien, a chattering like it's from another world as he shrieks out the attack. While his power is peaked, the energy is already slowly draining from him.
