There's her smile again— gentle and charming. A practiced gesture? Perhaps. Despite his experience with diplomatic dealings and social soirées, it's hard to tell with Gina. He can't quite put his finger on what's drawn him to her, or how she's managed to bring out the seldom seen talkative side of him, but part of the enjoyment of it all is finding out.

There's a strange light in the distance, and the royal sets his eyes on it just as his partner points it out. Without a word, his Urshifu sweeps past them swiftly with a gust of wind. Remiel seems to trust his bodyguard well enough to scout the danger for them. So much so, in fact, that he doesn't spare a word towards it as he advances forward.

"So what is it, then?" He inquiries, turning to check that Gina is keeping pace with him as he straps the canteen over his shoulder. "Your reason for becoming for a historian?"

The answer was simple that it was laughable. “I just find it fascinating” Following Remiel’s urshifu when it takes the lead, her worries are eased since she had both Remiel and the legendary pokemon by her side. Still a hand gripped onto a pokeball, one could never be safe after all. “we can learn a lot from history, a shame that people don’t look into it more.” She continues with a slight shrug, her ears picking up the sound of gentle buzzing but she could not locate the machine.

Her head turns back to Remiel, “perhaps it’s buried?”

Remiel laughs. It really was just as simple as that, wasn't it? Well, he was beginning to find her fascinating. So, if he were to follow her line of thinking, inviting her out to a social rendezvous was the logical next step. "I dig up history and you make record of it. We should have met on the field years ago, Miss Gray."

He nods in agreement to her statement afterwards, and keeps pace while preparing his own insight on the lack of historical consciousness in modern day society. Just then, however, she mentions the possibility of the sound being buried. "Perhaps our scientist is attempting to hide his illegal device..." The prince muses, hearing the slight buzzing himself.

Regardless, he trusts his Urshifu to find their target and lead them towards it. He just needed a bit more time. "Here's a historical question for you... where else do you remember this type of technology being employed, hm?" He asks, curious to see if she knows.

"Its a shame we haven't met each other earlier, but I look forward to working with you in the future." she flashes a smile towards the galarian ambassador. "That's likely" She comments with shrugged shoulders, observing as trunks searched for the object.

Eyes narrowed in thought at the sight of the machine, "hmm.. i've seen such a device in johto though I doubt they use it to this day." The exception was using it to commit crimes.

The ambassador usually found himself working better alone. So called 'partners' in his field usually only served to slow him down. But something about @gina told him that wouldn't be the case here. She seemed... capable.

Satisfied to see that she'd connected the dots, Remiel nods. "Precisely. During the incident in Mahogany Town, in fact. It may not be the same exact invention Team Rocket had used then... but this would certainly seem like a variant of it, don't you think?" He adds, stopping and holding out a hand in front of Gina when he hears a specific sequence of clicks. To the untrained ear, it was nothing more than forest sounds.

To Remiel Calcifet and his Urshifu, however, it was a signal.

"Sounds like Trunks found what were looking for. The clicking came here from this direction. Ready a pokéball in your hand and let's go." He suggests as he takes lead.

"is that so.. you seem to be more knowledge about the incident." Gina wonders if Remiel had studied the case, since she didn't know all the details about the incident. "a variant is plausible." She nods in affirmation, observing the device with keen eyes.

Gina's slightly confused as to why she would need a pokeball but she listens to Remiel, pulling out her slowkings pokeball again.

Remiel cares to discuss the matter more with Gina, of course. Probing her mind as little as he had so far proved to be quite tantalizing. But it appeared they'd found their culprit. The muttered curses and metal tinkering in the distance said as much.

Crouching behind a large tree beside his Urshifu, the royal leaned out to scan the cave's entrance. They couldn't see the scientist from this far, but his echoes traveled out from within. Just as Remiel motioned to move forward, however, their ears would pick up the momentary shrill of the device being reactivated. "Aha!" The man's voice exclaimed as the sounds of wild Pokémon erupted out from all around, rustling leaves and trembling the ground.

"We need to move now!"

Making a dash for the cave entrance beside his Urshifu, the royal only stopped when their path was intercepted by a pair of crazed, wild Pokémon.

"Right!" Gina responds to Remiel's command with a stern expression. The culprit was in their sights, she would not allow him to escape after what he did. Swiftly following the ambassador's lead, she pauses when the wild pokemon prevent their advance.

A sigh of annoyance as she whips out a pokeball, her slowking summoned in a flash of light. The Lunatone attacks with a power gem, but Pearl overpowers the attack with a water-pulse. Gina whisks out a vacant pokeball, chucking it towards the lunatone.

As Gina handles the Lunatone, Trunks deals witht he Loudred in a swift succession of punches (SURGING STRIKES). "Stay here and keep watch," Remiel says to the woman afterwards, pulling an empty luxury ball out of his pack. "I'll handle the professor on my own."

With a toss, he captures the Loudred before proceeding into the cave beside his Urshifu. Gina is kept waiting for some time afterwards... but, before too long, receives a text from Remiel stating he had not found their culprit.

This was a lie.
