Cinderace does not get back on his feet. Any attempt he makes is feeble- his fur waterlogged and his spirit crushed. Stormy returns him, turning back to face Blaziken and the Electivire.[break][break]

Without another distraction, the Blaziken's attention is focused entirely on the Pokemon in front of him. The Electivire's second or third round of THUNDER PUNCHES miss their mark by a hair's width. Electricity crackles too close for comfort, whizzing past his arm, his ear, his chest.[break][break]

But his SPEED-BOOSTED body is nimble, faster than his opponent. He winds up for a FIRE PUNCH, fist engulfed in flame.

Moltres' influence will instill a BURN even despite the rain. [break][break]

But Electivire latches on anyway. By betting on the burn's ability to lessen his strength, Blaziken attempts to move faster than the THUNDER coming down upon him. To use mirror move would only delay the inevitable- he was still being held fast. It would course through them both, it was too dangerous.[break][break]

He needed to escape.[break][break]

So he kicks out with a LOW KICK, praying that his SPEED BOOST will pull him out of harms way fast enough.

maybe electivire doesn't see it coming. maybe electivire isn't fast enough to avoid it.

either way, the attack connects, sweeping electivire off its feet and slamming into the ground, unconscious.

Stormy raises her hands, blinking away rain.
