as the two pokemon that flew over the ocean sank to the bottom of davy jynx's locker it signaled that both zac and angelo were probably out of the fight while they went to go get their pokemon out of the waters. that just left a mouse and a dog to try and tear the rest of this beach up. of course the dog seemed to be busy doing that as it ran into the cover of sand to try and hide from sparx. 

"ya think hiding in a sand castle is gonna save ya? c'mon sparx let's do that!" the pikachu looked back at his trainer with a cock of the head and simply asked; "pika?"

"of course THAT! ready?!"

with that the pikachu raced over to kaz's side as he took out a glove from his shorts and slipped in on before the two of them dropped into a flexing pose. "now we'll show ya a real shocking end to these summer days!" clasping his hands together and the glove began to give off a glow kazimir lowered them to allow his pikachu to jump onto it and was suddenly flung into the air by his trainer, "with our new move CATASTROPIKA!"

as the pikachu positioned itself to belly flop onto the ground it let out a scream as electricity burst from its little body turning it into an orb as bright as the sun. "HOT FUGGER SUMMER VERSIOOOOOOOOOOON!" with a warcry kazimir brought his hand down into a chop, his pikachu dropping into the ground as if waiting for the gesture like a cue and covered the beach in electricity.

PIKACHU: CATASTROPIKA 
ELECTRIC-TYPE
pikachu gathers electricity inside of its body before unleashing its maximum output in a large pounce onto an enemy as it discharges its power. this move is able to hit ADJACENT ENEMY AND FRIENDLY POKEMON due to the sheer uncontrollable magnitude of it.

Zac raced towards the ocean, swimming through the waves just behind Angelo as the pair looked for their Pokemon. Angelo dived for his sunken cat, but Zac's spotted his flabby dragon rose bobbing on the surface out past the breakwater. More like Kibuoy, Zac thought, chuckling to himself until he got a mouthful of sea water.

He ducked under the slow barreling waves and swam out to grab the Dunsparce. Kibou was barely conscious after the poisoning, the explosion, and the crash landing. Zac drew healing energy from a nearby kelp bed and stabilized Kibou. "There you go mate! You'll be fighting fit in no time!" Dunsparce made a gurgling noise, which was probably a good sign.

The pair treaded water as Kibou prepared for the trip back, Zac turned to watch the battle just in time to see the air around their makeshift arena ripped and torn with momentous lightning. The localized storm boom and blinded, and Zac blinked away afterimages of the summer lightning.

Is that it? Is the battle over?

kyle wonders if his mightyena would be tempted to flex after the dunsparce's earlier z-move. sure enough, it happens moments later.

in contrast with the radiance emitted by the pikachu's z-move, the mightyena's own take advantage of the shadows casted by the light from the clouds of sands from the earlier seed bombing. there's no sign of the pokemon executing the move until the attack itself manifest from underneath.

z-move mighty maul

like a bear trap, fangs spring up from the sands directly underneath the pikachu's landing zone. it would manage to entirely encase the electric-type within with its small stature before dragging it down the earth, grounding it.

the mightyena has already covered distance, compounding with the form of hindrance from its own the z-move against the pikachu's, lessens the blow. regardless, the move was still strong enough that the shockwave clears the area of smoke, knocking the poisoned mightyena from its feet.

it hacks and coughs, from both the status ailment and the dust entering its system, before it feebly stands back to its feet to wait for what happens next.

a giant shadowy maw rose up from the ground and bit down onto the ball of crackling energy before suddenly sinking into the ground at high speed creating a cloud of sand  that sent not only the mightyena onto the ground but also kazimir who landed on his ass with a yelp. "whoa...that was intense..." he tried to peer into the falling sand to see if his pokemon had decided to throw in the towel or was overwhelmed by the z-move. colliding with one had to have really done a number on him.

then a yellow shape jumped out of the impact zone and into the sky where the form of sparx in tattered costume was glistening in sweat against the sunlight. the little mouse pokemon suddenly spread his arms and legs wide as he eyed the mightyena before falling down onto it for a flying press to try and throw his tiny body against the dog in a final attempt to try and pin it down now that it was off its feet. a gamble, but no brave fugger wouldn't take a gamble now would they?

"Ha! You're on!" Zac said, grabbing Angelo's wet hand and shaking it vigorously. "And if Kaz wins I'll throw in another case of the good stuff."

Red Bulu. Zac's secret project. The zero-G energy drink that laughed in the face of Arceus. He had realized the strange effects after a case of Charja-Cola got caught up in the Gravity he had been using to fix the Tower to Space. After the effects wore off, the liquid in the cans had twice the bubbles, and none of the attachment to Earth's sphere of influence.

Zac had found moderate success selling the drink to pilots and the staff at Mossdeep space center, but Angelo seemed to enjoy it. It was little more than a novelty, and you had to drink it through a straw, but it had one hell of a kick if you could finish a whole can.

"Go on Kyle! Show that squeaker that he's barking up the wrong palm tree!" Zac shouted, and he put on his League branded Kyle-Kap for solidarity.

the mightyena yelps when he sees the pikachu move again.

as the pikachu jumps at him, the spectral maw from his z-move emerges again, albeit a bit less visible and more translucent from the light. still, it does not damper its effects of having the target immobilized, unable to switch out or move for three turns. it would drag the pikachu back to the ground, letting it crash harshly after launching itself in the air.

"go for the offensive!" he finally yells at his pokemon, who had been hanging back for a good while now.

the mightyena goes in, speed heightened by quick feet after having been poisoned by the dunsparce. with the same timing as the crash, the mightyena plays rough with sand on the pikachu's face and a high speed tackle on its entrapped body.

a giant maw came up from the ground to keep the pikachu in place as it tried to jump, slamming into the ground once again and stunning it long enough for the mightyena to suddenly be on top of the pikachu. all it saw was its large shadwo before the dog got its teeth and paws on it and started to play roughly with it. shaking the little mouse and throwing it aside where it rolled around to a stand still as its eyes were rolling in its skull before going to the back of its head as it passed out from exhaustion. "mother fugger! we lost!" kazimir cursed as he he ran over to his pokemon to scoop it up into his arms before turning towards kyle, a slight glare in his eyes that completely melted into a warm smile and look of adoration. 

"man. those dogs of yours don't play around do they. no wonder your champ." he gives the champ a thumbs up before turning to angelo with a shrug of the shoulders. "looks like we lost today man. still that was a hell of a fight. never thought i'd see two people just thrown into the ocean like that."

"Kyle Krushes the competition once again!" He crowed, clapping the un-drowned combatants. 50pd richer, Zac was having a grand time. But all the money in the world can't buy some things, like a victory over Zapsi. Thankfully, Zac had that as well.

But the victory over Kazimir was a double edged sword. In the grand scheme of things, Zac had bet it all on Kaz to place well in the tournament. If Kaz didn't do well, then Zac was looking to foot the bill for a day at an amusement park for all the gym leaders. More importantly, if one of Melody Miro 's champions made it to the top 3 then the diva wouldn't have to shave her head. Hopefully Kazimir climbed the ladder to victory in his other battles.

Zac ran over to shake hands with everyone. "Great battle!" he said, grinning. "A real game of dog and mouse!"

kyle breathes from relief when kazimir crowns him as the winner. a look of confusion meets the glare however, though his expression quickly shifts as with kaz's.

"not gonna lie, that was so close. that poison activating quick feet saved the match, i think."

his stare shifts to his pokemon, who soon succumbs to the said toxins in his body. the mightyena drops to the ground, which kyle quickly recalls back to its ball.

"and there he goes."

as soon as he takes care of the dark-type, he turns to the people who betted against him and kazimir. somehow, he's glad that angelo bet against him since that meant that he lost.

"do i get some of the good stuff instead?" he teases zac. "someone has to take it since gelo lost the bet after all."

A hand stretches back behind his head, scratching fingers through brunette hair. There’s a flash of frustration at losing his hard-earned – and quickly diminishing, having been out of work on R&R – cash but Angelo still gives Kazimir a slap pn the shoulder in reassurance. One that might be slightly harder than necessary but the blonde is built like a brick house, so he'll be fine. [break][break]

“You’ll get 'em next time.” Goodbye, chance of a free crate of Red Bulu - for now. [break][break]

It’s then that the champ opens his big ol’ mouth. Angelo’s sharpens, a grin on his face as their new favourite word spills free with taunting bite.[break][break]
