The FURY ATTACKS rained down on Kingler's body and claws. The chunky crab was built for strength though, not speed, and the blows clanged and rang off his shell.

"You're getting pummeled out there mate! Time to hit back!" Zac called, and Banjo fizzed in agreement. The crab scuttled backwards, feet scrabbling over the plastic surface of the pontoon. Out from under the assault of the Empoleon, Banjo dropped his main claw down low. His muscles clenched and tensed, and with a tremendous surge of power he swung upwards, delivering a SUPERPOWERED strike right at the body of the attacking penguin.

DRILL PECK burrowed into Kingler's shell, cracking his hard carapace and forcing him back towards the edge. "Hold your ground mate!" Zac called, "another few steps and you'll be taking a swim!" Kingler fizzed angrily, and drug his feet into the plastic surface.

There was a dark, dangerous sheen to the crab's shell, like the glint of a broken knife. The edges of his carapace plates were crooked and cracked from the impact of the DRILL PECK. Banjo pushed back against the Empoleon, running the sharp edges of his RAZOR SHELL up along his foe's body.

the razor shell brings sparks along with it, as it makes contact with the hardened, steel form of the empoleon. he grunts beneath the sharp pain, yet endures it to retaliate. another set of talons reaches out to grasps the kingler in a heavy-handed, emposing METAL CLAW.

Kingler raised his claw for one final, devastating CRABHAMMER. Suddenly, METAL CLAWS grabbed hold of the thin wrist supporting Kingler's massive claw, stopping Banjo dead. "Come on mate! One more hit!" Zac called.

Kingler pushed against Empoleon's grip. "Hammer him!" Zac yelled. He believed in the heart of his crab.

the hammer sealed it. with a resounding thud, the empoleon is smacked and smacked hard. the force of the blow sends him down, and careening off the side of the floaty. as the dual-type plops into the water, there's an almost tangible moment of silence, then, an erupting roar as zac proclaims victory.

greyson sighs, then laughs beneath the announcer's climbing enthusiasm. quickly, he races across the platforms and reaches out a congratulatory hand shake to the gym leader.

"congratulations, man! good luck with the, whole, ceremony thing!"

another laugh, and he's racing off to get away from it all.
