Her journal is readily pulled up, the pages ruffled through as she attempts to find anything on said oddities. "Could the golem speak maybe? Or did it just kinda go BWAAH! And started attacking you!!"

She does, of course, give time for Remiel to speak his piece - With a gentle reminder from Reiner, that is. And she listens attentively, thinking hard about what she should say in response.

"It was Lugia and Yveltal! They started fighting out of nowhere! But I didn't run! There were lots of people there that were in danger..." Shifting slightly, she points to her back, aimlessly tracing the air upwards as she loses herself in thought. "Lugia accidentally hit me with her tail though and now I have a super cool scar on my back! It still reopens from time to time though, so the doctor says I gotta be extra careful when exploring!"

Remiel's interest piques at the mention of special 'Pokémon shaped like letters' Eris has supposedly seen. Though he holds his tongue against his inquiries for now. Regardless, the pause in thought is soon broken by a chuckle afterwards. "Yes... I suppose the golem did go something like 'bwaaa'. Certainly no speech, however. At least nothing our human ears could understand."[break][break]

Mention of Lugia and Yveltal fighting it out serve to stoke his interest even further. Remiel had, of course, seen it for himself. But Eris' recounting of the scene him wonder if Cillian Quinn knew how close he'd come to killing a child: and one of Rocket's few own, no less. Did the man know? Did he feel guilt or remorse? They hadn't spoken in some time (since meeting with Isra, in fact) so the prince wasn't sure.[break][break]

"We'll be careful then," Remiel nods, after snapping out of his thoughts again. The royal resumes leading the way through the ancient village's main street, heading towards an area riddled with small craters and massive piles of rubble collapsed within themselves. "Just let me know if it hurts again. I have pain medicine in my pack."[break][break]

Recalling her previous mention, however, he turns over his shoulder to cast her a small smile. "In the meantime, do you care telling me more about these 'Pokémon shaped like letters' you spoke about before? Have you seen any real ones, Eris?"[break][break]

Another way of saying she's grown tolerant of pain. Strangely enough, it's the first sense she's learnt to numb after her time in Kanto, albeit with a little bit of struggle from time to time. Still, she's more than happy to distract herself with conversation than linger on the unfortunate what-ifs.

The royal nods. "Your mother is very knowledgeable then. Most archeologists agree with her, including myself." Though he supposed he needed more context to truly determine that. "Where is your mother now? Does she still tend to the Unown she's captured?"[break][break]

A soft, whistling wind blows through the ancient ruins of the draconid village. Having snuck in through one of the many crevices in the cave ceiling, this breeze picks up a swirl of meteor dust and spins it across the trail in front of them. Albian squawks as a result, and Remiel simply casts it an indifferent look as they walk past it.[break][break]

"I've a few of my own," He shares. "Though I haven't given them such clever names myself, haha. They're simply called H and X. And yes, I believe that is the only move they know as well..."[break][break]

She doesn't understand enough of it and she's terrified of all the things that may go wrong.

A somber silence fills the space between them after Eris admits her mother is no longer on this plane of existence. Suddenly, the little girl seems to speak with a degree of maturity in her voice. No doubt a symptom of having to grow up faster than most her age.[break][break]

"My condolences..." The prince finally manages to utter, his thoughts shifting towards the bounty of untapped Unown shortly thereafter. Perhaps there were enough to fill out the entries on the Unown Report. If so, helping Eris access those Unown would be in his best interest. Putting that idea forward delicately, however, without seeming like a bad man after her mother's research, was easier said than done.[break][break]

"Momma said that they aren't from this world. When two or more are gathered together, she says that the world will distort in the strangest of ways. Almost as if those eyes are looking into you."

They're only meters away from the crater site when the royal slowly comes to a stop, shifting his body to face the child that follows along. "Is that so?" He muses for a moment, calm eyes cast elsewhere before they flick back to Eris with a smile. "Want to give it a try with our Unown? You can be my junior archaeologist as we explore more about them." He lightheartedly suggests.[break][break]

Reaching into his pack, he finds the luxury ball he's been looking for and pulls it out. "Thankfully, I always try to keep one of the floating cyclopes on my person. One never knows when they might come in handy in a ruin or two."[break][break]

From context alone, she would guess it's an apology of sorts, a weak way of passing the conversation on and telling her that she doesn't have to continue on the subject, whether for his sake or her own. So it comes as no surprise that the next thing that leaves his mouth is the willingness to test things out with their Unown.

"She said it, but I've never really gotten to experience it for myself. For all I know, momma could have just been lacking sleep like she always did..." Light roasts thrown about as she reminisces on what could have been, she catches his smile but can only offer a hollow copy of her own. "Can't hurt to try though, especially if there are stuff hidden around here!"

A tossup of a pokeball sees that an Unown appears in a shower of red light, the Y-shaped pokemon swaying about as it quietly eyes Remiel.

Not to destroy, is implied with her gaze. Yeet listens but twirls about with uncertainty, its eyes glowing a soft red before it releases energy as a strange light beam that pours over the walls of nearby buildings and the surface of the crater site.

Remiel isn't certain, but he does catch on to something... artificial, about her smile. Suddenly, he wouldn't be so surprised to learn that there was something wrong with this child. Something she'd seen, experienced... or, perhaps, even done. Something bad. Something that leaves an uneasy feeling in the wake of displaying emotion that wasn't really there.[break][break]

That's not to say, of course, that it frightens or worries him. He's experienced as much himself, after all. So, as they proceed with their proverbial masks on, he doesn't bother to ask her about it. Though he does remain curious, wondering what it all could be as he reaches for a strange old ball in his pack and pulls it out.[break][break]

His UNOWN-X emerges in a soft flash of light in tandem with her Unown-Y. Albian scampers up his back and onto his shoudler, squawking as it watches the two cyclopean beings dance in the air. "Do as she says as well." Remiel commands alongside Eris, observing the strange entities as they envelop the surrounding area in the kaleidoscopic of their combined HIDDEN POWER.[break][break]

THE UNOWN USE THEIR COMBINED POWERS, but nothing fantastical occurs despite their hopes. Still, as their dotted sclera hovers above the dusty site, they are able to find fragments of meteorites.

It is clear that these meteorite shards are incredibly old. If there was some sort of power or energy to them, the Unown can not detect them now. There is nothing that remains, having faded over time.

Or perhaps, it was siphoned by the Regidrago itself in its attempt to recharge itself? Nevertheless, the Regidrago found its batteries in the crushed RED ORB during Groudon's rampage on Mt. Chimney...

After prompting nothing with their power, XEROSICYOS scours the terrain with his eye, leading Remiel to fragments of meteorite scattered all around. He crouches down to inspect one of these more closely. Then, convinced, he unbuckles the archaeology pack he has attached to the back of his belt. The royal rummages through it before producing a pair of gloves he proceeds to put on. "Eris, come here."

Should Eris Halla heed his call, he would reach back into his archaeology pack for another pair of gloves (adjustable), a pair of tweezers, and a ziploc bag. He offers all of them to the little girl. "Meteorite fragments can sometimes be brittle and sensitive to human touch. We should take them back to the lab to be analyzed before we go around holding them."

All the while, the ambassador can't help but mull over the events that had transpired last July. So she turns her gaze to Remiel, picking up some of the fragments and dirt to place into the ziploc bag.

Remiel ponders her question for moment, crouched over a small bed of fragments as he takes a look at their surroundings. "That's what it seems like," He finally answers, returning to his task as he carefully handles his tweezers. "Perhaps the ancient Draconid people had something to do with its appearance here... but we can't know for sure without more research. Or a time machine." He adds, in jest, with a smile.

Finished gathering what fragments he could find, he nods when Eris asks if she can keep hers. "Of course. You'll need them for when we head back to the lab. I'll teach you a few things. Just make sure you keep your bounty safe and secure in your pack."

Standing up straight, he tucks his own ziploc bag away before gathering his tools and placing them back where they'd come from as well. Though he doesn't ask for the tools he's given Eris: she can keep those.

"Shall we head back? Or did you want to continue exploring more?" Remiel asks, ignoring the squawking Archen perched on his shoulder.
