Zac was starting to sweat. "Come on Sneg! Just hammer him already!" The Exeggutor slammed down with another IRON HEAD, cratering the sands and missing his target. The tropical giant let out a long, mournful sound.

"You've gotta look where he's going, now where he is!" Zac called, helpfully. He checked his watch. They needed to wrap this battle up fast. The ice cream eating contest was about to start! "One more! Go go go!" Zac shouted, and Sneg hurled himself at his enemy, swinging his head once more at the nimble foe.

Espeon leaped back, dodging the incoming Iron Head with a feline's grace. They had the perfect opening to unleash their ace in the hole. "Loveless, now!" Psionic energy surged wildly down her fur. Eyes, jewel, and body glowed with a dazzling purple light. Unseen, she expanded her mind into the future. Her sight honed in on the winding path of Sneg's timeline.

Oracle Fracture

A rippling wave of psychic damage struck Sneg from the future. The Z-Moves power is so intense it cascaded backward to attack in the present.

There was only one future for Sneg: Defeat.
The psychic energy hit like a sudden realization, shaking Sneg's body like a voodoo doll, throwing leaves and rattling his coconuts. The towering Pokemon slammed down into the sand, forming a lengthy crater.

Zac wiped his brow. "That's one hell of a finisher," he said to Killian, shooting the man an excited grin. "Nothing hits quite like the future."

"One hell of a hit," Zac said softly, smiling at the tuckered-out Espeon. Zac returned Sneg, and headed off towards the tent, gesturing for Killian to follow him. "The ice cream place is over this way!" Zac said, leading the way.

Soon they were seated at long tables. Each team had seven tubs of assorted ice cream in front of them. Once for each contestant. "Rules are easy," Zac called to Killian. "Eat as much as you can!"

First up for Zac was Mamoswine. The beautiful creature's eyes went wide at the first bite of rawst berry ice cream. She had lots of experience rooting around in Zac's garden for tubers and vegetables, but even the occasional fruit couldn't compare to something so sweet.

Lulu was having the time of her life. She shoved her face as deep into the tub as possible, scooping up the ice cream with her thick tongue and staining her fur a gory pink.

Lulu sat back on her chunky haunches, full of strawberry ice cream. "Nice one girl! You finished off the bowl!" Zac said, slapping her flank. "Actually ate some of the bowl too."

Dodrio pecked impatiently at the lid of the next tub, and Zac reached over to open it up. "There ya go girls, get stuck into it!" The bird went to work pecking aggressively at the tub and gulping down chunks of the rocky road.

Dodrio stopped suddenly, two mouths hanfway to the bowl and one still in it. The bir bird's eyes went wide and it threw its head back, letting out a terrible screech of pain. "Yikes," Zac said, wincing at the sound, "triple ice cream headache."

Oranguru didn't like ice cream. Instead, the monkey mentor used INSTRUCT on Lulu, sending the Mamoth back for seconds. The shaggy beast gladly dug into Oranguru's choco-banana-supreme.

It did suck to be the Dodrio, but it didn't suck to be a bomb-ass gator with muscles like a roided up gym junkie and a jaw like a, well, with a jaw to match.

Natsuki wasted no time. She ate the whole damn tub. It was crunchy, and tasted a bit like salted caramel, but mainly like plastic.

Natsuki chewed off a chunk of the wooden table, trying to settle the terrible swelling and rumbling in her stomach. Unfortunately, that counted as disqualification just as much as throwing up did.

Tapu Bulu was next. The legendary had been knocked around during their battle. Scorched by the Flareon, gnawed on by the Umbreon, and finally defeated just before Zac sent out Sneg.

After such a battle, Zac was happy to see the Bull up and about. Normally it would be sleeping, but recently battled had been leaving the Bull hungry. Hopefully hungry enough to chow down on a bucket of chunky pear gelato.

Time to see if it could handle its ice cream.

Finished, Flareon stepped away. Sylveon replaced him at the table with a wide smile. Her ribbon-like feelers extend to a nearby spoon. Honestly, her siblings were nothing but animals. Taking big spoonfuls, she begins to eat.
