THE AFTERMATH

KYLE'S ASHEN BEASTS continue to wreak havoc as the evacuation efforts continue to their completion. Eventually, they must leave, dispersing into dust after kim cole-essam heads the retreat. Back-up indeed arrives in the form of further transportation: teleporting Pokémon, nautical Pokémon, boats and fliers. They prioritize those fleeing, those willing to leave what they once called home.[break][break]

Others remain, not out of allegiance to Rocket, but out of fear. However, a disturbing division of the citizenry comes out in support. The visible destruction of the SILVER SPIRE has inspired some to embolden their anger in the form of riots, unified cheers, and unbridled imbibement. Their excited voices echo against the curved white of the city. The curious happenings of this invasion has revealed much. Although stone and space has been divided and reassembled— the schisms of society have become glaringly apparent.[break][break]

Some flee to nearby port cities like LILYCOVE. Others flee to VERDANTURF. Those around the new AVATAR, skyler dross, may leave by air— or by newer... nautical means.[break][break]

News of Balder Schwartz and Melody Miro's kidnapping strike the media. The LEAGUE begins to mount investigations; however, even more alarming is the disappearance of one COUNCILMAN Orion Lykos...[break][break]

SOOTOPOLIS

SOOTOPOLIS IS NOW OCCUPIED BY ROCKET. However, this does not mean LEAGUE CHARACTERS can not enter the city. TEAM ROCKET will begin to set up an additional base of operations here, as well as have the ability to park their HEADQUARTERS in a safer space.[break][break]

Although on the outside, SOOTOPOLIS CITY may seem to function as normal— behind the scenes, the crime syndicate may act ruthlessly.

SILVER SPIRE

THE SILVER SPIRE AND A MAJORITY OF THE RUINS has been teleported some place else. Later, the LEAGUE would reveal to those in the AQUA INITIATIVE that it has been teleported into an CONFIDENTIAL UNDERGROUND LEAGUE FACILITY in RUSTBORO. Curiously, the RAYQUAZA from LITEBRITE is not there... However, this is the also the same facility that houses THE SLUMBERING JIRACHI.[break][break]

Within this high-tech institution, dahlia goode would reveal to the AQUA INITIATIVE that the large chamber that houses the SILVER SPIRE can be flooded with water. When flooded, the RUINS activate and "open" thanks to some particular mechanisms inlaid therein. Upon entering this chamber, members of the AQUA INITIATIVE would be awash with an odd feeling, as if they were OUT OF PLACE. TREE OF LIFE

WHERE THE SILVER SPIRE ONCE STOOD is an empty island of land— but the visual glitching continues. Those who continue to watch like @izzy on the outer perimeters, would witness something miraculous. As if warped in from an alternate world, suddenly, a gargantuan, white tree appears in a crushing sound of branches, roots and earth. Its tree top almost extends past the rim of the crater— but the trunk is broad and intimidating. Like a gate or portal, an opening can be seen within the trunk, one that can be feasibly entered.[break][break]

Should one enter this tree, they would find that it's bigger on the inside. A vast sprawling sylvan wood can be seen before them. Pokémon frolic inside, climbing and running across its expansive network of old roots and branches. It looks like an old elvish kingdom— or dungeon, perhaps? For now, it is clear that this is a new era for Sootopolis.[break][break]

For now, TEAM ROCKET has closed off this tree to everyone; however, ROCKETS are allowed to venture into the first initial field (and not further in). DECLAN WALSH will ask bryan delarosa and priam conrad to spearhead a future expedition. STAY TUNED for further developments on this regard.[break][break][break][break]

ONE LAST CRY

AS THE LAST OF THE LEAGUE'S FORCES retreat, a terrifying cry rattles the city. It repeats. Over and over again— and the tree shakes with every ripple of sound. However, it does not budge. Some may assume that whatever is crying is attempting to banish the tree from this plane...[break][break]

The conflict has muddied the crystalline bay water. Night stars are obscured by grime, leaves, slate... and perhaps some residual milk from Zac Ramsay's MOO-MOO MONSOON weeks ago have made the water murky. From the shadows, a SUICUNE emerges, prancing across the waters. Each step purifies the water of its grit. It's quick. A streaming crystal across the waters— but before it can leave in clandestine fashion, it locks eyes with one addled Rowan Wrynn.[break][break]

Eventually, it departs, leaving northern winds in its wake.

AFTERMATH

THE NEXT DAY, Sootopolis' mayor is found. Alive, but badly shaken. During the conflict, the man had been shuttled away by boat and moored in a nearby cove. However, he does not return to his political seat.[break][break]

Instead, a man by the name of Bill Anderson ascends to HOENN'S COUNCIL. After the outcry of THE SILVER SPIRE'S DESTRUCTION and the dilemma of the LEAGUE requiring to interface with Rocket-occupied Sootopolis, Bill Anderson—who is a hometown native of the city—is anointed in order to handle Sootopolan matters and more...[break][break]

Lastly, jayden cross, Serena Malcolm, and Rowan Wrynn are promoted to ROCKET BEASTS under WALSH's discretion. jayden cross is commended for his loyalty in protecting UNDERBOSS Chu-e Choi. Serena Malcolm is ascended to the seat in order to inspire a fire within her. With the increased resources available to her in this seat, WALSH hopes she will be able to use her desire for vengeance as fuel to take ELITE FOUR Katherine Fairburne down. Lastly, Rowan Wrynn is commended on being a murderer. Having killed GYM LEADER noah faber's ACE, the ROCKET BOSS sees potential... and a way to secure the man's place within the organization.

THINGS TO NOTE

IN THE AFTERMATH OF THE RAID, consider the following plot points.[break][break]

• the LEAGUE and ROCKET now have access to AQUATIC RUINS and THE TREE OF LIFE. future events will deal with these locations; however, a new location has been created under SOOTOPOLIS CITY. rocket characters are allowed to access the location freely— but league characters must sneak in. however, ALL CHARACTERS can only explore the first "field" of the tree. any attempts to go deeper will be met with fierce resistance from the tree system itself.
• the tree of life is a new location for CATCHING WILD POKEMON (FAIRY/GRASS).
• what caused SOOTOPOLIS to rearrange, reform and harness localized points of gravity? mason moore is the only one who saw the creature's eyes— but everyone has heard its CRIES.
• the CAVE OF ORIGIN is empty. the chamber that kyogre slept is where ROCKET HEADQUARTERS can be parked in. this cave can be an clandestine method of leaving and entering via deep water.
• why did DECLAN WALSH hand the last shard to skyler dross so easily? use of the BLUE ORB may be tempting— and may be required in the future; however, at what cost?
• team rocket now owns sootopolis. roleplaying the tensions as a league-affiliated resident (Razz Kingsman) may provide an interesting angle, while TEAM ROCKETS may explore finding ways to cement their rule through mafia-like endeavors. furthermore, PROMINENT LEAGUE CHARACTERS may find themselves gawked at or monitored closely while in the city.
• occasionally, Rowan Wrynn will feel a NORTHERN WIND even when in places where the WIND DOES NOT BLOW.
