Chu-e felt kind of haggard between all these battles. Had he signed up for too many? It was kind of feeling like he had signed up for too many.

Either way, he VS Seeker on his phone was pinging, showing that someone else was ready to battle...

? Seemed vaguely familiar. Was than an anime character or something?

Whatever, he hoped the guy was ready to have a good match.

Chu-e Choi looked different; not that Bo had ever seen much of the legend before. If someone might’ve told him it was this guy, Bo wouldn’t have believed them.

He was ready, and so was Golem. When the all but shriveled ex-beast found a place across from them, Bo called over, blissfully ignorant of his opponent who went by a different name here.

“Hey! How’s it goin’? You ready?”

He gave a huge grin and a wide smile to , friendly as ever in his strawberry and pink summer outfit. No one REALLY would have believed he was 'Chu-e Choi' from all the rumors about him in Kanto. If only people knew who he was now. It was funny how stuff like that ended up.

Either way, his Granbull was ready to go, hopping from foot to foot in the sand and hyping herself up.

“Golem: Set it up.”

The rock giant started out in the way it typically did: with STEALTH ROCK. It was becoming a sort of signature. Stones and boulders rose from the depths of sand, shaking off sediment they vibrated with earthly power, settling around at all heights in levitation, and ensuring movement would be extremely difficult without taking damage.

Well, that would make things harder since his Granbull mostly had to get up close to do damage...

But, it was cool!

"Get in close, girl!"

The Granbull barked before bounding forward, lumbering towards the Golem. Her teeth glowed blue, attempting to bite down with an Ice Fang when she was close enough.

“EARTHQUAKE.”

As most had done during this tournament, the Granbull simply charged through their obstacle course—and Golem was ready. The ground would shake and splinter violently as the dog cut the distance, perhaps causing damage, and allowing Golem to evade most of the punch—although it clipped her rocky side, sending bits crumbling into the sand.

Angrily, she turned back, ready to lash out now that the dog was right in front of her.

Granbull tries to bounce back, tries to dodge- and it is now that the Stealth Rocks fuck her over, preventing her frfom getting away fast enough.

She takes the full brunt of the Earthquake.

But she is a proud dog and forces herself back up, charging again with a Play Rough in mind.

Despite the dog’s tumble, her PLAY ROUGH knocked clear into the Golem’s close side, and she let out an aggravated roar. Amidst the kicked up sand and sparkling fairy-dust—which seemed very aesthetic considering Chu-e’s pretty attire today—Golem retaliated by attempting to BULLDOZE and trample the mutt with her big-ass feet.

Rude! Her feet weren't that big!

The bulldoze knocked her over and back, hurting her, but damned this Granbull wasn't a quitter. They were just two women against the world, one big pile of rocks fighting a dog. She had to at least take one more attack to make this battle last a little longer.

She stomped her feet and started an Outrage, swiping and biting any way she could.

Yes, they were very, very big. Big feet meant lots of big stomping and smashing bones. Good.

It worked well, despite the OUTRAGE that it inspired in the dog. It was met right back with a fierce roar and an even fiercer DOUBLE EDGE. These women were really going at it. Wow.

“Your Granbull’s pretty tough!” Bo called, impressed.

Granbull wa son her last leg but we need this thread to go for about five more posts between us. She fell back but her Outrage continued. She charged forward once again with all the fire of a dragon in her to see what she could do.

Don't worry, she'll go down since you wanted the win.

But we would not witness it yet.

Suffering from RECOIL, Golem was then beat back for the time being by Granbull’s continuing OUTRAGE.

The Outrage over, Granbull found herself very confused.

She charged forward-

But ended up falling flat on her face and hurting herself.

Chu-e winced in sympathy for her.

"You can tell! My Granbull here... I've had her for a while, too! But she's really.... reckless." Was the word he settled on.

Bo winced as well, but it was followed by a chuckle. Granbulls tended to have a bad reputation because of their scary faces, but typically, they were very sweet. However, in battle…

“I’ve battled a few. Good dogs. They don’t give up!”

They had been a common choice in Rocket. Intimidating. Mean looking. Strong to the end, and solid companions. Not unlike a lot of them…

Golem was ruthless, too. Another BULLDOZE capitalized on the dog’s unfortunate fall.

That last hit was enough to knock her out, though, so Chu-e sighed before he recalled her back to her pokeball.
