CLEOPATRA IS THE ONLY ONE YOU LOVED ► "Oh.. okay. That's good."She smiled warmly, before turning her attention to the building. A small gasp escaped her lips as she marvelled in the sight of the Space Center. It was huge, bigger than the museum in Kanto, and everything was glass or reflective and metal. It looked unearthly, almost, like a sorely out of place object in the midst of Mossdeep city. While Cait lead the way inside, giggling with how giddy and excited she was, Stormy couldn't help but feel the slightest prickle of unease. Buildings like this reminded her of her cramped and cornered life at Silph. Her posh, hoity-toity, proper upbringing that she had rebelled furiously against. She'd wanted a life like this, once. She'd wanted to run Silph Co., once. But that was in the past now, and just the thought of it made her blood boil. "Shiny is right, I think they polish every inch of service daily. I'd hate to be the cleanup crew." She snorted, perhaps acting a little bit rude. The woman shook her head, deep brown locks falling over her shoulders. They sat in heavy, natural curls. Stormy winked at the Eevee as it trotted ahead of her, seeing him pause from time to time to look back and see if she was still following. As usual, Cait seemed to be the more eager one, offering up her identification right away. The woman at the desk seemed a little bit bored, but she had probably been working here for years and been doing the same thing every day - she couldn't help but be bored. Stormy handed hers next, and narrowed her eyes a little as she ushered them through. What was so urgent, anyways? If this was all supposed to be a secret, then why was it a big deal? Part of her worried that they should have been given more information before just jumping into the big unknown. Alas, Cait was trusting and faithful, stuck to her dues and head over heels excited to be asked to work such an important mission. This was her element, who was she to ruin it for her? "Let's get going Stormy."The woman breaks her eye contact with the receptionist, pulling away from her lean on the podium desk she sat at so she could follow the green-haired woman. However, she turns again when the receptionist speaks, encouraging them to hurry. Stormy grumbles under her breath, clearly not thrilled with how pushy the employees seemed to be. "If they were planning on starting the experiment early, they probably should have given us an earlier time frame to get here by."The elevators doors slide open, a sucking sound announcing they had reached their desired destination. Once again, Cait seems in awe of her surroundings, and Stormy can't help but smile a little bit in spite of her own negative attitude. More security arrived to verify their affiliation, and Stormy scoffed a little bit, but held her tongue. Instead, she watched idly as Cait buzzed around, pronouncing her excitement. Stormy herself simply leaned against a nearby window, looking down at the machine that was apparently the main character in this experiment. For a moment, everything seems to be going smoothly. The scientists are bubbling with pizzaz and energy, talking up a storm about how everything seemed to be going well. They were jotting down notes, pointing at screens, using their hands to express their excitement. It's when a spark of energy comes off of the machine, the lights start to flicker and dim, and the room falls silent that Stormy pushes herself away from the window. "What's going on? I sure hope you didn't hire us to fix a machine, because I don't know shit about mechanics."
